Title says it all. Disregard the name of the square, there is nothing here related to pyramids, it's just named after the Battle of the Pyramids. The gilded equestrian statue of Joan of Arc (Jeanne d'Arc) is impressive and worth a glance if one is...More

Like Marmite, ‘love it or hate it’. Put me into the second category but, I must admit, it works. Hate it because it ruins the whole feeling and view of the wonderful Louvre buildings. It takes over. However, as an entrance to the Musee de...More

So, after a lot of research I see that many reviewers have cited the glass pyramids at the Louvre to be the location of this place - mere guessing on their part, but they are WRONG!! As the location has "pyramides" in the title, they've...More

I always approach this square by the Western end of the Tuileries Gardens with extreme caution. It features heavy vehicular traffic going very fast. But traffic lights located here enable pedestrians to eventually cross the square safely. Its focal point, which I consider to be...More

Place des Pyramides is a famous and busy square in Paris. It is named after the Battle of the Pyramids, which was a victory for Napoleon Bonaparte in Egypt in 1798. This square has great views to Musee du Louvre and Tuileries Gardens.
