This average rating is for our experience at the gardens. The gardens, to be fair, are very beautiful. The cost is relatively expensive at approx $80AUD per person (includes transfer from Victoria Fairmont Empress). My husband walks slowly with a walking stick and some of...More

Always a beautiful and breathtaking experience. Just as lovely in the fall as in summer with less poeple to deal with. Truely a serene way to enjoy the outdoors in a crisp air.

...This is a must. When traveling to the Northwest, this really is a must see. The gardens are meticulously maintained and simply beautiful. You walk casually thru the different areas. One is just more beautiful than the next. I do have to say I liked...More

We have visited a few gardens but this one does stand out for us. The variety of flowers and trees and what was most impressive for us was this is all done with a landscaping that brings you up and down offering you different view...More

Sadly we were on a tour and only had 2 hours to visit. It felt a bit rushed as the gardens are so beautiful and stunning. The food options are reasonable, although not gourmet and the gift shop is abundant with treats!

Went on a tour of the gardens which was part of a package from Clipper Vacations. I am not much of a garden person, but appreciate really nice ones. Butchart Gardens is 'over the top' gorgeous. The Sunken Garden is the star, but the other...More

I love gardens. I occassionally drag my husband along. On this trip, he couldn't put the camera down and enjoyed it as much as I did. The gardens are inspiring and, despite the many feet that cross the paths, refreshing. In early September, the dahlias...More

One does have to leave the garden upon closing. They are kind, but gently clear the place out.
