    Real old-world feel
    This park is the center of the Zona Colonial. It's a must-see when visiting Santo Domingo. We spent a Sunday morning on the benches watching the locals and their children feeding the pigeons. Most of our walking excursions took us through here.

    Just a statue
    As you see it in the pics, it is exactly this much a statue. I highly recommend you not to go if you have kids with you, as it requires a lot of walking.

    Beautiful square
    A large and well maintained square. Seems to be a meeting place in the evening and great for people watching. Some bars and restaurants around if you need refreshment!

    Zona Colonial site
    Very nice part of the old Santo Domingo. Very old, great history. Well preserved. Nice relaxing place to visit. Just beware of hustlers, they can be annoying and persistent.
