Had a full day pilgrimage tour to Anuradhapura sacred city. You should not miss to visit Avukana Buddha statue. It was a great construction.
Great job done by the craftsman. The Statue was made out of a huge granite rock and it is so beautiful. Now they have made a roof in order to protect the statue from the wind and rain. Recommend to any tourist who is interested in the history of Sri Lanka and Buddhism.
