Highly entertaining, interesting and an experience to remember. Huge shout out to our driver and tour guide Luke. His local knowledge of WA history, flora and fauna and good ol’ Aussie yarns is second to none. Picked up from Perth city at your hotel you get to ride in a luxury bus for the trip out to the desert. The pinnacles are truly a natural wonder. Top that with a setting sun over the Indian Ocean for a majestic experience. Then a great dinner at a outback pub where you made to feel welcome. Afterwards back to the pinnacles in the night. The sky with no light pollution reveals the great southern sky of a million stars. We even saw satellites zooming pass, pointed out by Luke your guide. If you’re in Perth for a visit put this on the to do list. Great value for money and nothing like it on the east coast.

Great experience, overall very satisfying trip, the drive was long, but our driver Chris made the trip exciting with all the information and included a nice dinner, some dessert would have been nice but was still good. Chris made every effort to get there before sunset and again provided the lamps and torches for nighttime star gazing, the clear sky really helped. We really had a great time. Thanks Adams and Chris.

Gavin from Lumineer Tours organised a great tour. We stopped at the Sand Dunes, went to the pinnacles and had dinner there: BBQ & wine. On the way back to Perth we stopped and looked at the stars. It was a wonderful day and I really enjoyed the tour. Strongly recommended!

What a terrific tour. Viewing the Pinnacles during sunset was amazing and being there at night to view the stars was an experience I will never forget. Bob our driver was simply amazing and is a credit to the whole tourism industry. His knowledge is second to none! The pace of the tour was perfect and the bus ride was nice and comfy. Totally recommend!

My sister and I had a couple of days in Perth and wanted a chance to get out of the city and see some of the Western Australia countryside - this tour was just the ticket!

The drive out to the Pinnacles was smooth and comfortable - our guide told us many facts along the way, not only to do with the Pinnacles themselvs but the farm and beach land leading out to them as well. As we did the tour in late April, we had to skip the Koalas as the sunset was quite early but none of us really minded - we all wanted to make sure we had plenty of time to get to the Pinnacles, take some photos and then get into a good position to watch the sunset.

The weather for our tour was perfect - not a cloud in the sky. When we arrived at the site we were given an afternoon snack of tea, coffee and biscuits and then allowed to wander around the site as we pleased. The light was absolutely stunning and made the desert glow a beautiful yellow. There are many Pinnacles scattered around the site and it's great to be able to walk around them. There's a vantage point on top of a hill that everyone makes there way towards to watch the sunset.

After sunset we went back to a motel restaurant close by for dinner - on the bus to the Pinnacles you're given a sheet to select which meal you'd like so by the time you arrive at the restaurant it comes right out. Vegetarian options were available - but you can't choose what you want. The night we went I got a Mediterranian vegetable pasta which was alright.

After dinner you're taken back out to the Pinnacles for some star gazing and everyone is given a headlamp to navigate in the dark. The Pinnacles are really creepy in the dark so I didn't spend much time amongst them. The stars were beautiful.

Once everyone has had a good look at the stars it's back on the bus home to Perth. It's about a 2/2.5hr journey.

If you're keen to see the Pinnacles, or looking for an easy, quick trip to the countryside, I'd definitely recommend this tour. It is pretty much solely focused on the Pinnacles though so if you'd like to see them and more I'd recommend one of Adam's full day tours that include other activities as well.

I took this tour on the 12th December 2019.

Unfortunately, the fire at Yanchep meant that our tour had to reroute, which took longer and also meant that we only got to see the pinnacles in the daylight, not under the night sky. This was a big disappointment for me, although it wasn't really the fault of the company. Instead of Yanchep, we went to see the white sand dunes at Lancelin which were truly impressive, but due to time constraints we weren't even able to get out and take proper photos.

Our tour guides also fell flat for me, although they were distracted by figuring out a new route so I don't know how much that played into it. One guide kept getting things wrong and having to correct herself, or forgetting information and trailing off in the middle of her sentence. A lot of her commentary seemed to be fairly obsolete - for example saying "such and such a winery is on the left" when there was a big sign to our left saying "such and such winery", and not going into further detail. The driver was definitely better and told us a lot about the native flora, fauna and landforms we were passing, but was still fairly dry. Some of the commentary was also telling us facts about other attractions around Perth that had nothing to do with our trip, or telling us how good a certain restaurant at Cervantes was - not the one we were going to eat at! This was certainly not helped by the fact that the place we did eat was just average. There generally didn't seem to be much attempt to create a rapport with passengers.

As I've just mentioned, the food was only okay and there were only three options (burger, fish and chips, haloumi salad) which had to be chosen in advance on the bus. The afternoon tea was supermarket cake and packet biscuits.

The pinnacles themselves were great and I certainly don't regret going to see them. We had time to walk around and take it all in, and I got some good photos.

Our 'night sky' experience was at a beach after dinner, but due to a full moon and the smoke from the fires there was very little visibility. Again, this is not the fault of the company, but it was a shame.

I appreciate that you're dropped back directly at your hotel.

I've chosen the 'average' rating to give the benefit of the doubt, because I do understand that there was disruption outside of the company's control, and that the guides were probably distracted because of this too. But other than being happy to see the pinnacles, I didn't really have a nice time on this tour.

Hi Rachel_Syd, Thank you for taking the time to review our tour, it is unfortunate you had to experience the tour while there was a bush fire in the region, taking away from the beautiful landscapes. Our main priority is to safely give our customers an unforgettable experience of WA, with the aggressive and unforeseeable nature of a bush fire it does make it difficult to plan and rearrange tours and we do thank you for your understanding of this. We do apologise that this event detracted from the rapport our coach captains form with our passengers. The local knowledge our coach captains provide to our customers is something we pride ourselves on and for you to not experience our usual standard of commentary is saddening. We will definitely let them know your feedback to improve and heighten the involvement of the surroundings of the tour and information our customers retain about WA. It is great you enjoyed the pinnacles and you were able to take in that great landscape. With our selection of food we always aim to provide options for all dietary requirements and we will be taking your feedback on board. Thank you again for reviewing our service.
