- Travel21200Hanging bridges - excellent tour with SergioWe did the hanging bridges tour with Sergio (group of 9). I was pleasantly surprised at how fun this was! Sergio was an excellent guide who is obviously passionate about CR nature. He was patient, full of information, and took plenty of fun photos for our group. This activity does require some uphill hiking (stair steps) so be prepared. The bridge walking itself is amazing, the flora and fauna are a bonus. We saw lots of toucans and at the end there is a fun optional climbing activity. Highly recommend.
- CostaRica2023CA00Great experience! The zip lines were really fun. The staff was very focused on safety. I was fearful before I started, but I had a great time. Waze sent us in the wrong direction, so I'd recommend having their shuttle pick you up.
- 767ulla00Stressful experienseI took zipline and It was fun but scary. If I do It again I Will choose another company with automatic breaksystem and another handsystem. This zipline I had To break by myself by my hand and It took a lot of energy To consentrate to slow down on the end of zipline. I was also scared of damage my hand because of that. I had to keep my thumb and index finger around cable.I could not enjoy views during the slides at all. If there was an automatic break system ( on the end of 1600 m slide) the guides did not tell me about It and tried To break very high speed. After all I would choose another company with higher safety standard and would pay higher price with pleasure.
- trishhermosa00Great funVery well organzinzed facility with great staff! We loved all the ziplines and the big swing. The zip lines were great and I would recommend this company.
- rawlinw202300These Zip-lines will not disappointThey start you off slow and steady with some brief easy rides and then you can decide how much more of this you want to enjoy... By the time you get to the near mile long "Superman," you have developed a new definition of adventure. the journey ends with the ultimate challenge: The amazing "Tarzan Swing." It's pretty scary standing at the jump-off gate. After you step out into thin air it is actually a pretty smooth down swing. Fast and fun, don't miss out.
- 5Sinja500Concussion thanks a lot.The zip lining tour is just a mass production. I hit my head and have a slight concussion now and all they said was: oh this can happen, you were too quick. Well I couldn't regulate the speed since it was the superman slide and they pushed me. Terrible service and no gun at all. Although some instructors were nice.
- GoingGreenMedia00SO worth it!You can't come to Monteverde and not do a canopy tour with 100% Aventura! My partner and I had never done a zipline before, and they made sure we felt confident with the safety features and proper form before getting on the ziplines. It's also a gradual build, so they start you on the small ziplines and work you up to the mile-long one. Definitely do the two superman ones to feel like you're flying! The Tarzan Swing was the craziest thing I've ever done, but we got some funny videos and unforgettable memories from this place that we will talk about for years to come. Also, big shoutout to the staff who are so nice and make you feel safe and welcome at each switch point on the ziplines.
- 140drewt00Man fell 45m. Not safeI just went with my wife on April 24, 2022. Right after we ended the tour with the Tarzan swing, someone right behind me fell off it 45 meters. Something faulty with the rope. Broken legs and back, lucky to be alive. I'd say stay away for now
- CanND-Reviewer00Fun and safe.Neither of us had been zip lining anywhere before and we both were really impressed by 100% Aventura. They picked us up on time and the process for signing in at their site was pretty smooth, considering the large number of people. All of the staff were helpful and knowledgeable. Our harnesses were secured expertly and safety was double checked multiple times throughout the day. The zip lines, rappelling line and Tarzan swing were all fun and we always felt safe. The views were great, but there is not a lot of time to enjoy them since you are moving pretty fast on the lines. Once we got past the first ride, there was really not much waiting at any station. We would highly recommend this company for anyone zip lining in Costa Rica. Their longest ride is 1.5 km!
- Nomad6223383031600Great experience but a little false advertisingOverall, our experience was great! I was a little disappointed that the three long zips were over the exact same canyon. I think I expected it to be a meandering zip tour that showed off different areas, and this was not that. The first 3-5 zips are very short and are used to have you get familiar with the feeling and move you out to the big ones. The first big one is such a surreal feeling and stunning! You then get on your stomach for the Superman which is super fun! The “rappel” is literally the most simple attraction they added just to add it to their marketing as is the hanging bridge. One thing they didn’t mention that I thought was super fun was a little 4x4 drive up to a longer and higher zip. That was a surprise and really fun to me! The Tarzan swing at the end was TERRIFYING but I am so glad I did it. A guy went after me who was kinda pushed out and went more head first like a bungee and had some major whiplash so make sure you DON’T do that haha. At the end of our experience, we had a ton of fun! But the experience was a little different than I expected. We did this as part of our honeymoon and it was fun!
- Víctor G00Amazing experienceAmazing experience, we saw a lot of diversity in flora and fauna, and specially we were able to observe two different types of Tucan, but all experience was amazing, the guide tour very professional, the tour it’s better with them because that way you learn more
- Selenaaas00TARZAN SWING & SUPERMAN ZIP LININGThe crew was great very helpful the views were spectacular and the Tarzan swing was Exhilarating. We did about 5-7 zip lines before we took an side-by-side to the 2 longest zips which we did Superman style and finally finished it all off with a hike over to the Tarzan swing which will make your heart drop but is sooo worth it and rewarding in the end. We also saw some wildlife on the trail including a coatimundi. Also this tour is GoPro friendly and can’t wait to review the footage we took.
- 112Philip_L_1211200AwesomeI won’t give away too much but the canopy tour is unreal. I was a bit reluctant to do zip lining as we aren’t those kind of tourists but this is a perfectly built facility, intertwined with nature. Amazing Adrenalin rush, big focus on safety and lovely guides.
- psaborio00Family adventureHad a lot of fun with my 8 and 10 year olds. The tarzan swing is a bit too extreme for smaller kids but they enjoyed the rest of the experience
- Remco D00Perfect ziplinesWe loved our activities here! Great guids who perfectly help you with everything!! This is a must do when you are in monteverde!!

We booked the tour that included Zipline, Superman and Mega Tarzan Swing. The initial instructions were quite clear and the equipment seemed good except for the gloves that smelled very sweaty and were quite worn out.
Most of the guides were friendly with one exception. The guide (an older man) on the first spot was very rude. I told him I'd like to have the instructions in Spanish and once I didn't hear what he said he started to shout and insist if I didn't understand Spanish after all. He seemed to be in a hurry to get rid of the customers. The same hurried atmosphere continued in several other spots. I understand that they don't want to have people waiting in line, but some of them were even counting the time as if competing who is the fastest to get rid of the customer. In the last activity, The Tarzan Swing, there was the same rude man who was on the first zipline. It is kinda exciting and scary to do the free falling swing and you get the same sensation as in Bungee-jump. This man just told me to bend my knees and once he opened the gate he pushed me down! I've done a bungee jump and I'm quite sure that is not the correct way to guide someone through it. To my friend the same man told to "scream loudly" before pushing her down as well. In a scary activity like this that is a horrifying way to deal with the customers.
With the exception of dirty gloves, the rude guide and hurried feeling the experience and the landscapes are magnificent. The Superman Ziplines are amazing and you really get the sensation of flying through the rain forest.

A big thank you to the manager who let us join a group last minute as this was the only time we could go
At first it feels like a cattle herd when you put the safety equipment on amongst a crowd of people. You wonder how you’ll be getting through all the different zip lines without queuing but there are efficient staff at each station and you do not wait long for your turn.
The staff are very safety aware and triple check your equipment before you start and explain how to use it before going on any high line.
The long zip line “superman style”is the finale and then the jungle swing is not for the faint hearted at the end. However it is optional but will definitely give you the adrenaline hit as you step off the platform and swing as high as the trees.

This was a wonderful activity for our family. It was 2.5 hours of pure fun. I’d say it’s best suited for kids over at least 10 or even a couple of years older. On certain lines you are controlling the breaks using your gloved hands as the breaking system. We’ve done zip lining quite a few times before and this was the first time breaking like this. It’s not bad, but just takes a tiny bit of training in the beginning. I think I saw some younger kids going with a guide so maybe the breaking isn’t going to be an issue. The zip lining was great, but wow that Tarzan swing took some nerves. So glad we tried it though.

We absolutely loved it! From the very beginning we felt welcome and the staff was professional and friendly. The guides are fantastic and they make sure you feel safe, comfortable and you know what you’re doing. We absolutely loved the super long swings, the superman was a great experience even for an experienced skydiver like me. The Tarzan swing was also incredible, it makes you feel the gravity really does work! It was our first experience with zip lining and we would come back to do it again wish 100% Aventura. It will be surely hard to beat this amazing park!

These guys were super nice and very helpful. We waited about 30 minutes to get started that was the only downfall. They start you off slow with smaller ones to get you ready for the larger ziplines. The superman zipline was REALLY high and VERY long. It was a beautiful site even for someone who is deathly afraid of heights (tha'ts me). Just expect that you'll be coming in fast and the jerk of them stopping you is significant. Don't wear shorts if you can avoid it, the straps kinda get tight. Definitely sneakers AND if you have a go pro this is the place to use it!! Only regret is that I didn't have one.

6 of us went zip lining on a wet Saturday morning and what a morning it was! We received door to door service collected right from the door of our hotel and driven about 15 minutes down the road to where the adventure was to begin. It was really well organised and very efficient. We were kitted out in our harnesses, helmets and gloves looking the part. Staff were very helpful with everything and carefully briefed us before we hit the skies. The zip lines were insane would 10/10 recommend this to anyone. Felt very safe and secure up in the sky and mid flight ! All the workers were really friendly and happy to help.

Adding to devmanro's review, I was at 100% Aventura the same day, in the group behind theirs. A guy on his honeymoon in the group ahead of mine fell 45 meters on the Tarzan jump, due to ropes breaking and likely broke his legs and back! I was in the reception area when it happened because I finished early, I wasn't planning to do the Tarzan jump, I only knew that the accident had occurred because other team members arrived to the reception area in shock and the front desk mentioned in Spanish that something really bad happened on the Tarzan jump. The 100% Aventura offered us a shuttle back to town quickly which I thought was kind at the time because none of wanted to stay, but then I quickly realized that it was also a tactic to keep us quiet so others wouldn't learn of the accident.
After the accident 100% Aventuras kept operating the Tarzan jump like nothing had happened. I know this because I ran into 2 people in my group, later in the day in Monteverde who had no idea that the accident had happened and were shocked to hear the news and mentioned that they did have to wait a long time before the Tarzan jump but didn't know the reason why.
I reached out to 100% Aventuras to ask about the condition of the gentleman who fell and they did not respond.

We greatly appreciate your comments and concern about the situation that occurred on April 24.
An unfortunate situation we had that day, to which we cannot refer because there is an investigation being carried out at this time. We can only report that the person involved is well and in clear recovery. 100% Aventura has taken care of everything related to medical expenses, as well as lodging, food and other family expenses.
We want to clarify that this has been the only event we have had on this tour after more than 20 years of operation and that we have always worked hard to make safety our primary objective.
Our staff has been trained over the years to deal with situations like the one experienced that day, and we constantly hold drills that involve a variety of different situations that could occur in the event of an accident.
We have a rescue and primary medical care brigade that is constantly training to deal with any eventuality.
Our protocols were activated immediately that day and thanks to the quick action of our staff, everything resulted in rapid care and transfer of the patient to the nearest medical center.
We are very sorry that you have been involved in this unfortunate event.

Just did this yesterday. Their customer care is terrible. Three of my party got sick in the morning and I called them to let them know that due to unforeseen circumstances it would be me and my husband coming and could you refund 3 . They have not done so.
Sent us wrong pictures and don’t respond for our request to send ours and we sent pics of ourselves to show them.
Terrible. Not trustworthy at all. Any decent company would refund for unforeseen sickness and on top of that no pics of us.

Dear Pritpal Nandra
Hope you guys are feeling better. Sorry if the response to your request came later that expected. Although we don’t usually offer a refund for cancellations within 24 hours of the activity, since it was an unforeseen medical issue we have proceeded with the refund for the participants who unfortunately couldn’t make it. If you have not seen this reflected on your account it’s because it can take several days depending on the bank that issue the card.
Regarding the pictures, if you haven’t gotten them yet please contact the staff with the contact information on the card they gave you on that in such a case.
Anything else we can help you with don’t hesitate to send us an e mail.
Best regards

My family knew before we traveled to Costa Rica that we wanted to zipline in Monteverde specifically, and when I stumbled on this listing at a reasonable price point, I decided to go for it. Without a doubt, we made the right choice and would 100% come back here again. The company will pick you up and drop you off for free if you are staying at a hotel in the area, and the employees are super helpful and informative throughout the entire process. The ziplining itself is super fun, including a "superman" style zipline that allows you to travel head first facing down. The absolute best part of this tour, however, was the Tarzan swing which is exactly what it sounds like: a huge swing down from several hundred feet that swings you back and forth after stepping off the platform. I don't know if an attraction like this is offered at other zip line facilities in CR, but if not, I would return to Adventure Park just to do the Tarzan swing again!

Can my 10 year old (65pounds) ride by themselves? Can they do the Superman and Tarzan swing?
Julpez
Kansas City, KS24 contributions
I believe they have to be at least 100 pounds if not they put a weighted harness on them or at least they did one in our group as she was less than 100 lbs. The guides also took smaller kids down the Zipline. They are willing to work with you so everyone can have fun!
