          Private tour vibes
Small tour sizes , guide picks you up in vehicle (suv) right outside the port, spends the whole day with you, takes you to the snorkeling spot, restaurants , chocolate factory, and AJ's. Snorkeling was exceptional , the whole day had a small private tour feel, would recommend.

          Amazing Starfish
Roatan island Honduras is a lovely place. You have to walk out of the port to find the tour but it is not far just a chaotic process. Snorkeling was nice. The boat was a bit old and they did not make everyone wear life jackets. After we departed it became clear that there were enough life jackets on the boat. The guide who picked us up and drove us 5 miles across the island to the north side was great. She made some stops at shops and a restaurant for us. Be warned that the restaurant tried to up charge 15% if you used a credit card. Snorkeling was great and the huge starfish made it worth it! There were three snorkeling stops. Be sure to bring reef safe sunscreen.

          Monkeys & Sloths Experience = 5 Stars
The tour was amazing! Our Tour Guide, JB, was the best guide on our cruise experience! I highly recommend his services if anyone books a tour with Roatan Five Stars. Thank you for the pleasant experience!

First Cruise Trip. No Reason to Worry
My family truly enjoyed this excursion. Our guide was easy to find; the vendors right outside the Coxen Hole port quickly pointed to him when I stated I reserved with Five Stars. Plus he was wearing a Roatan Five Stars shirt and had my name in advance. For safety, always have your excursion guide cite your name or reservation number before you volunteer it. Like many ports, the immediate area past the port gates isn't overly commercialized. It may seem sketchy if you aren't familiar with traveling outside the states. I never felt unsafe, the people came across as warm and just genuinely wanted to conduct their business. After a short walk through Coxen Hole, our driver had us on our way. Traffic was congested, though we made it to the dock after about 25 minutes. The excursion itself was fantastic. On our boat were swimmers with varying levels of skill and experience. The deck hands were attentive to those needing more assistance and never harassed the stronger experienced swimmers. There were deck hands in the water and on the boat giving assistance and instructions to those needing it. The boat Captain changed the order on the 3 stops, we went to all 3, just in a different order to avoid a different excursion from a different outfitter. That way, we had plenty of space to explore. The crew worked hard to maximize our snorkeling experience. Water, juice, fruit and banana bread were offered to all. The Captain allowed us to jump off the top deck of the boat as well. This was my family's first cruise. I was skeptical about booking excursions outside the cruise line. The whole fear of missing the ship loomed large. We brought our passports just in case. Our worries were unfounded. Despite heavy traffic near Coxen Hole, our driver had us back in the port 2.5 hours before last boarding. It gave us plenty of time to eat, have some drinks, and do a little shopping. The Coxen Hole port area in Roatan was our favorite on our trip. The vendors are less pushy, but still were very attentive. The port looks like it has been updated recently with a swim-up bar, hammocks in a pool and good places to just relax without any pushy vendors. I highly recommend Roatan Five Stars. When we return to Roatan in the future, they will be the first outfitter with which I will look to book an excursion.

The sloths and monkeys were the best!
Great directions from the cruise port straight outside of the gates to check in and then meet our guide Neil. Great private tour with just our family of 4. Actual tour name was: Roatan Sloth, Monkeys, Chocolate Factory plus Beach Club We went off to the Sloth and Monkey portion of the day. Neil dropped us off at the front door of the Eco park and went to park the car and we got assigned to one of their tour guides. We ended up with a group of about 10. You start out the tour with an overview of the history and culture of the island which probably lasted 15 minutes. After that we went up to the Sloth area and their keepers told us about the sloths and then let each of hold one and they were just absolutely adorable and I think everyone wanted to bring one home. Next we went to the monkey enclosures and they were just absolutely hysterical. They ran and jumped on us and would walk across your arm to the next person. Our guide had some sunflower seeds that he would put on your head or in your pocked to ensure each person got some personal monkey interaction. We also got a great photo op with a gorgeous macaw. Be aware that the Eco park guides encourage tips separate from your FiveStar guide. Next up was a stop at the chocolate factory, which was more like a little chocolate convenient store. The chocolate samples were great and we would have been tempted to buy some but we knew we were headed to the beach for a couple of hours and it would have melted. The market place was cool and I loved getting some funky earrings made of recycled materials. We requested to skip the rum stop as we don't drink and Neil made that adjustment no issues and no guilt trip at all. Last stop was the beach break. In hindsight I wish we would have done a tour without the beach break. Nothing bad really just wasn't what I was expecting. It was just a very small beach strip in front of a restaurant and there were TONS of tour boats anchored in the water so you were just chilling in the water sandwiched with tour boats very close to you on either side. Tried to order dessert at the restaurant but they were out of the 3 desserts listed on their menu the day we were there. The sand was powdery and the water crystal clear though so beautiful area. Neil just hung out and waited on us to tell him when we were ready to head back to the ship. He kept up a great narrative about the island as we drove around and stopped and got a photo of us at the Roatan sign and had us back to the ship in plenty of time.

          Snorkeling and Sloths!
We had a fantastic time on this excursion! Holding a sloth was a favorite of everyone! Then the snorkeling was absolutely amazing! The driver and snorkeling guides were very nice, friendly and accommodating. They even gave us snacks and drinks on the boat! All 6 of us would do this tour again!

Kudos to our Guide Jorge and some safety concerns
We had a nice time overall, but I had to rate three stars for a couple of reasons. First is SAFETY. The ATVs we were given would not pass a safety inspection. The tires on the ATV were almost completely bald. The bright yellow pretty ATVs you see on the website are NOT what we were riding. Ous were OLD and beat up. The full helmets you see on the site are not what we were given either. Mine would not even buckle. I'm an average size man and the strap was too short. I had to wear it backwards and without it being strapped on which of course would be useless if I were to fall off the ATV. Also, the MAYAK chocolate and Rum factory was not the place we went to at all. We went to some other "Chocolate" factory which sold no rum at all. Our guide Jorge was very nice. He was very attentive and even suggested we do not go through the ATV trail they usually go through because there had not been much rain and the dry dirt narrow path would be difficult to navigate with cliffs on both sides. I agreed (thank God; after reading other reviews) and so we went through a neighborhood and some light trails and hills which were challenging enough as it was. Forty-five minutes total. Sloths and Monkey Park was fun but the whole experience takes less than 30 mins. We stopped for some scenic pictures and ended up at the beach for the last hour and a half or so. I strongly ask you please think about the ATV ride under the described conditions. This is no place for anyone without experience considering where you have to ride through. We rode ATVs in other places and my general observation is that if you do not book carefully, a lot of ATV providers operate in similar fashion. Equipment is outdated and no upkeep

          Disappointed in communication on arrival
Company did a great job communicating prior to us porting. We were only taken to 2 snorkel stops due to weather and no one mentioned the shortened excursion prior to us starting. Our excursion (from pickup to drop off) was half the time promised. We also asked to stop at a local gas station and the driver was mad we didn’t add zip lines or other upsell items and did not stop. Company should have notified us of the shortened excursion and only after contacting them did they offer a refund (which didn’t really compare to the difference in the described trip).

Our driver was Reny. He was awesome and patient! He spoke to us on the history of the neighborhoods. He really took the time to explain things. I highly recommend!

          Roatan 5 Stars Excursion
Josel Diaz the Tour Manager did a great job explaining about Roatan and getting us there and back safely and on time for our ship. My husband enjoyed the snorkeling but we felt like we didn't get enough time with the sloths and that it was rushed.

Fabulous trip. Also included private transportation l, with our friendly and informativeguide Juan, and a stop at the eco park where we got to hold sloths, monkeys, guinea pigs and macaws. Very fun experience! But be aware of the photo package sale by their employees in the port.
Lot of fun! Great guides! I was a little nervous at first because I'm afraid of heights but the guides made me feel very comfortable and we all have a lot of fun. The only thing you need to be aware of is the Photo Package their employees sell you at the port. The lady told us that they will email the pictures to us in 2 days and We never received them. They charged us $30 for 5 pictures. Not much but the fact that they never email them is not right. Feel like a Scam. She gave us a card with the website and phone number and anything work, the phone number is disconnect. We book this excursion with Royal Caribbean and we love it. But if you are cruising, I recommend only buy the pictures that the Cruise employees take inside the ship. DO NOT BUY THE PICTURES FROM THE KING KONG EXTREME ZIP LINE's EMPLOYEES IN THE PORT. You might be wasting your money. Better safe that money and give it to your zip line guides as a tip.

Great day, friendly guides, lots to see under the water!
We had a group of 11 (3 families) who went on the 3 stop snorkeling excursion last week while on a cruise. Booking was super easy, and communication and instruction was fast - especially when I had to reach out multiple times concerning the possible bad weather. We got picked up in a large private van, the driver gave us all kinds of interesting info about the island on the drive. Then we were taken snorkeling on a large 2 story boat that had a top deck we got to jump off of. Snorkeling over the ship wreck and the great blue drop off were definite highlights!! They gave us water, watermelon and delicious banana bread after on the ride back. A great day spent with friends!! Highly reccmmend this tour company if visiting Roatan! **Pro tip - we booked directly with Roatan Five Stars through their website...cheaper then booking through the trip advisor link.

          Five Star
We recently used Roatan Five Stars for our trip to see the monkeys and sloths. JB was our driver, he was courteous and very informative. We would definitely use this company again.

Our trip was an incredible event and we felt totally safe and comfortable with our guide. Our guide was a gentleman named Darrell Jackson. He was great and he showed us the island and the sites was very patient. Had lots of great stories and was a great amount of fun. We got to go to the sloth monkey and bird farm and got to see some wonderful local animals. The crew at the farm was nothing but inviting and wonderful and passionate about what they did. Darrell Jackson then took us to the West Bay Beach and was able to make us feel welcome and invited. I'm a neurotic guy and for some reason I said Darrell you can watch my stuff. I never leave my stuff by the way and I walked with my wife down the beach and we had a wonderful time and I said Darrell's got my stuff. We wanted to eat some local cuisine and Darrell delivered! Additionally, we wanted a night out and Darrell escorted us to West end on Saturday night and he showed us the sites and he was an amazing navigator. Five star trips are wonderful and they have great people working for them. I'm happy I went with them.
