Perfect tour and guide. We were lucky enough to have Andy (owner of the company) who is extremely knowledgeable, passionate about the island and just plain genuinely friendly. I cannot recommend his service and company enough. They are the only company to use if you are visiting the Azores for a day or for a week or for a lifetime !

I live on Sao Miguel island and I hold yoga retreats here. I wanted someone who knew the secret spots of the island and who could also retell the magnificent history of it. Azores Connections delivered! All my guests say that this tour was their favorite part of their trip! They loved their guide, Andy. He answered all of our curious questions and when the weather turned (as it does in the azores:) he knew exactly how to pivot. Azores Connections was brilliant in planning our honeymoon. Andy was so helpful suggesting activities and adapting our itintery to suit us. He put a lot of thought into the best order of activities and creating a really bespoke honeymoon. It was so seamless with all our bookings and the app made it so easy to check what we were doing the next day etc. We also had the private tour with Andy and he was a fantastic tour guide! It was so insightful getting a local perspective on things and his enthusiasm for the islands was clear. The whole process was so easy and it was exactly what we needed after planning a wedding! If we were to visit again, I would use Azores Connections in a heartbeat!

Andy / Azores connections without a doubt planned the most amazing trip for me and my family this summer for my 21st birthday and we could not thank him enough! Andy was a great host while we were there for our honeymoon in the Azores. He gave us a deep understanding and appreciation of the history and culture of the island and took us to some beautiful spots to appreciate its beauty. He also helped us change plans on the spot due to the variable weather

First of all Andy was AMAZING! Very knowledgeable about the islands, how to get around, love for the locals and research on the best places. He had it all ready and made the trip more bespoke by listening to our future agendas and keeping things fresh and new. 25/10! I can’t wait to plan a trip there with my whole family. I will be back and I will shout Connections from the rooftops! We don’t speak Portuguese and it certainly came in handy that Andy does! 😂 I think I tell everyone I know to go to the Azores. Laura and Andy planned our honeymoon - entirely customised to our specifications with their own touch and experience of hidden (most importantly non touristy) gems of the islands (Sao Miguel, Pico, Terciera and Faial). We were due to travel in 2020 but covid had different plans for us. We finally managed to do our Azores dream trip in August 2023. It feels we knew Laura and Andy the longest as they never stopped interacting with us despite the trip getting pushed every year. The trip was very well planned - every day/ every halves/ every island. The activities/ things to do and see never felt overlapped - they were always completing and it all felt like a one seamless movie story!! Andy is a great story teller when it comes to sharing life experiences and travel adventures. Our guides at each islands seemed handpicked by Andy and Laura based on what we intended to experience in those islands. I loved their idea of putting customer experience and preference first and top priority and not pushing hard on the pre packaged deals. Andy’s attention to detail and planning skills are fantastic. Loved Laura’s response time as she was the one doing the heavy lifting with and for us in the planning stage and until we reached Sao Miguel to meet Andy. All in all we would love to go back to Azores and see the balance islands with Andy and Laura.

We had started planning our honeymoon trip to Azores in 2020 and finally made it there in 2023 due to covid. So we have been in touch Andy and Laura for more than 3 years now, and it has been an absolute pleasure. Our trip was curated keeping in mind our preferences and without any activity overlap in all islands of Terciera, Saõ Miguel, Pico and Faial. We booked our 7-day honeymoon with Azores Connections and we’re very happy with the experience. The booking process was very simple and it was a pleasure having Andy to communicate with throughout the initial booking and during our trip. Andy tailored our itinerary to include all of the activities we wanted to do. He arranged for all of our transportation, most of our meals, and all of our hotel needs. Knowing that we were coming from our week-long destination wedding in Portugal, Andy was very thoughtful in his planning to give us a nice balance of relaxation and adventure. We left the Azores feeling renewed and excited to have created some beautiful new memories together. We didn’t have to think about a single detail as there were no issues whatsoever with any aspect of the trip he planned. Our hotel was very nice and we really enjoyed the amenities that were available to us! Our trip included a kayaking visit to the mystic furnace, where we had an incredible traditional meal cooked underground using the natural heat from the volcano, a soak in the natural hot springs followed by a guided tour of the cha gorreana tea plantation, a private horse ride tour of siete ciadades, a coast to coast ATV tour, and a canyoning trip I will never forget! Along the way, we learned a lot about the island of Sao Miguel as Andy and our other guides were incredibly knowledgeable. This was a beautiful and authentic experience I would recommend to anyone!

We booked Azores Connections to take care of planning our honeymoon and this was one of the events that we booked. We cannot possibly describe how wonderful this experience with Andy was. He took care of everything! He picked us up from our hotel, gave us a private tour of Furnas, the hot springs, the gardens, and gave us our very own water sommelier course. Andy is incredibly knowledgeable about the island, the volcanic activity, the history, etc. This experience is truly a VIP experience and when we come back to the Azores we will be sure to use this company EVERY time.

On a month-long trip to Europe, our day in Sao Miguel Island with Andy was the most memorable. When I initially reached out to him for a private tour, Andy was prompt, understanding, and very helpful in planning an itinerary that would accommodate my elderly mother. Unfortunately, my mother was unable to join us, but Andy quickly pivoted to provide a more active adventure for me and my 23-year-old son. The tour was perfectly paced, and Andy obviously put a lot of time and care into making sure we got the best experience possible.
