What to Expect
Meet your guide and group at a designated coffee shop in the super-hip district of Vesterbro. Follow your guide on a walking tour through the off-the-beaten-path areas of Copenhagen that help define its modern culture. At each stop, learn about its history and the role it plays in underground culture.
Visit a local homeless shelter to see the revolutionary way the city handles homelessness. Stop by the New Theatre to learn about the arts and culture scene and walk along the museum street of Absalonsgade. Swing by the historic Eliaskirken, which serves as a talking point for the evolution of the Christian religion in Denmark. Learn about the the city’s red- and green-light districts, and finish up in the self-declared Free State of Christiana. You'll walk away from the tour with a firm grasp on Copenhagen's vibrant counterculture and some ideas about where to explore further.

This was a very interesting tour with a well informed guide. I discovered a lot of interesting information I wouldn’t have know about without doing this tour. It also prepares you well for a visit to Christiania.

Our tour was pre-organised as a private group tour. We were lead by Alan the tour guide. Comprehensive in its nature, with a thorough look at the down-trodden of Copenhagen, particularly the free town of Christiania. Somewhat long-winded, but informative nonetheless.

Very knowledgable and upbeat. Not boring at all- lots of interesting information provided. I got a little bit tired at the end because it was very quick-moving. But besides that, it was a great tour :)
