          Honeymoon safari
We had an incredible honeymoon trip with Morris as our guide from Arusha to the Ngorongoro crater and then onto the Serengeti National Park. Morris is a top quality guide! He has an encyclopedic knowledge not only of large and small mammals but also of birds, vegetation and the nation of Tanzania. He was extremely accommodating, knew the roads around the parks incredibly well and had good contacts with the other guides which meant we saw far more than we ever expected! I couldn’t recommend Ranger Safaris enough and would recommend Morris as a guide to anyone. Asante sana!

          The trip of a lifetime-Tanzania
This was a tremendous experience--all that we could have hoped for and more. We not only saw the "Big 5," but a myriad of other creatures and their complex--sophisticated--interactions. Greatly enhancing the trip was our driver/guide--Deo. He was at once professional, knowledgable and gracious--with a good dose of humor that made all the difference. We learned from him a great deal about the respective habits of the varieties of wildlife as well as their evolutionary interdependency. But it was also his notion that Tanzania was not just about the animals that captivated us and enriched the experience. He stressed also the beauty of nature--the splendor of the setting--and urged us to simply look about and linger on what was before us in the near and far landscape. Those mental snapshots will remain with us forever. Again, a superb experience.

          A Tanzanian experience beyond expectations
We booked a tour with Ranger Safari, which included visiting the major parks in Northern Tanzania. We have been extremely satisfied with the tour. Wily, our guide, has been an amazing host. We have appreciated his professionalism, kindness and dedication. Thanks to him, we haven’t missed any of the “big five” and saw much more! At any time, even in bad weather conditions, he made sure that we felt safe and satisfied. Also accommodations and meals included in the package met our expectations. We strongly recommend this trip!

          Once in a lifetime experience
We were picked up from Arusha airport by our driver guide Issa. The safari vehicle was going to be our home for the next week. We had a private hire for 2 people, this meant we had loads of space to spread out, move to different seats to get views etc, if your budget can stretch I’d definitely recommend. It was a nice surprise to be picked up by our driver guide Issa from the airport rather than a taxi transfer, this was a nice touch. We did the Serena accommodation safari package so stayed at their accommodations throughout our stay. We first stopped at Serena Arusha, we had a full day here, we were let into our room early but there is very little to do at the hotel, no pool etc, and you have to pay $30pp for a guided walk to the lake. We wished we’d travelled straight to Serena manyara as at least they had a pool and sun loungers to waste an hour in the afternoon. All the accommodation was a good standard, food was mainly chosen off a fixed menu for full board and drinks were extra but fairly reasonable priced. Issa was an excellent driver guide, he’s been doing this for 13 years so has lots of expertise spotting animals and has lots of info about the local geography. Issa was confident to go onto less used roads to spot. The roads are very very bumpy, we weren’t aware quite how harsh the driving would be both on game drives and between destinations. Issa called the roads ‘African massage’ so be prepared! There are lots of opportunities to stop for loo breaks throughout your stay, there were also coffee shops and souvenir shops at some of the bigger stops. Issa was incredible at spotting animals from a distance, whilst also navigating bumpy and winding roads, he’s a credit to the company. Although seeing the animals is mainly down to luck (right place, right time), We spoke to other groups and they hadn’t seen what we had seen on our days out, so we are incredibly grateful for this once in a lifetime opportunity to do our safari with Ranger Safari and more specifically our driver guide Issa. We saw the big 5 during our trip and much much more. Thank you

          The best experience ever!
We've not long returned from our first safari adventure in Northern Tanzania. We visited Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. It was simply the best holiday experience and enhanced by Ranger Safaris. Incredibly well organised from the pick up at Kilimanjaro Airport to the drop off at Arusha for our flight to Zanzibar. We were a group of 4 and Festo was our ranger guide, he was incredibly knowledgeable, a great driver and just an all around lovely guy. We were in a group of 4 vehicles, they all worked incredibly well together and we almost felt like a family in our adventures. We were lucky enough to see the Big 5 (just about saw the black rhino!) and all the other animals we wanted to. I think the only negative thing we can say is that we stayed in Arusha at the Serena for one night - so we were there for most of our arrival day and until lunchtime the following. We did feel a bit trapped as there really is nothing to do there. Thank you Ranger Safaris - you were amazing!

Outstanding three-park photo safari in Tanzania
The safari was the second element of a 19-day Kilimanjaro/Safari trip for my adult son and myself, arranged by Sated Ventures. Ranger Safaris handled all transportation and guiding pre- and post the Kili climb. Pre-Kili, RS took us to Gibbs Farm in the Ngorongoro highlands, as part of the altitude acclimatization step. Program actiivities at the lodge were managed by GF. The comprehensive safari component began at the conclusion of the climb, and included Tarangeri, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara National Parks. Our Guide and driver, Lameck Mariki, was a very experienced naturalist, who brought us to near and far sightings of wildlife, unique to the different parks. Both my son and I are photographers, traveling with heavy camera equipment, and when faced with an object, need both patience and precise adjustments of the vehicle. Lameck was a master of both! With only the three of us in the safari vehicle, we were able to make route changes on the spur of the moment, which led to rich and very productive (from a photographic standpoint) game drives. Lameck is a personable, friendly and jovial individual who apparently knew nearly all drivers of other groups, and was able to glean information about game sightings when meeting them on the park trails. He kept a meticulously clean car, operated it with admirable skill, and shared his wealth of knowledge during game drives as well as on park-to-park transits. As always, our long held view that the most important factor in successful travel, is an excellent, personable and professional guide, again proved true. The wildlife profiles of the three parks we visited (two of which I had visited twice previously) were to some degree overlapping with elephant, buffalo, lion, hyena, hippo, warthogs, mongoose and ungulates, seen in all. Their behaviors differed based on adaptations to biotopes. We observed large herds of elephants, bathing at great length, both in Tarangeri and Lake Manyara. We also photographed tree climbing lions in these parks. Black rhino was only sighted in Ngorongoro, and Lake Manyara offered a more diverse and vibrant bird fauna than the other two parks. Only in Ngorongora was there a clear evidence of migrating wildebeast. In all, our experience with Ranger Safaris was outstanding, and in large part to the credit of Lameck Mariki. A comfortable vehicle, adaptable to photo enthusiasts’ needs, expert diriving, timely pick-ups and informative communication made this Tanzanian safari (the first for my son and the fourth for me) a highly memorable experience. We will warmly recommend Ranger Safaris to all visitors to Tanzania - first-timers as well as returning tourists!

          Professional and well organised
We have just returned from a very special holiday in Tanzania and Kenya co-ordinated and hosted by Ranger Safaris. We were greeted at Kilimanjaro airport and transferred to Four Points by Sheraton hotel … this wouldn’t have been our 1st choice of hotel as it was very corporate and town centre in location however after a very long and tiring journey it was clean and comfortable. We were met by a lovely lady from Rager Safaris, Jessica, who ran through our itinerary she was very professional and made sure we understood our meeting times for the following day’s. Issa our wonderful guide collected us the following morning and our wonderful adventure began … he quickly understood us as a group and cottoned on to our unique sense of humour…something very important when you are to spend several days in close company with a group. We drove to our 1st fabulous location Manyara Lake View Oasis, brilliant choice given time for a super lunch and relax by the pool we were collected and taken for our first game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Issa proved to be interesting and informative. We have all been on many safaris and he is a very good guide. The following day we set off through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the Serengeti… it was a very long hard journey however it was so worth it when we got there and Issa ensured we had the right amount of comfort breaks.. the last part our journey turned into a spectacular game drive with fantastic sightings of Lions Cheetah’s and Elephants… again Issa proved to be exceptional. We arrived Angeta Serengeti Camp another really good choice of camp with amazing tented accommodation we had 2 nights here and it felt like home. We had two full days of game drives the 2nd day Issa had tailored specifically for us to avoid the really hard road that we had arrived on to take us back to our last stop the Ngorongoro Crater such a wonderful spectacular place we stayed at Ngorongoro Serena a lovely hotel again a lovely choice from Ranger Safaris. We had two further nights before returning to Arusha to a really lovely meeting point the Coffee House this also seemed to be a hotel… it looked really wonderful we had a great lunch here said a fond goodbye to Issa our amazing guide and met up with lovely Jessica again she introduced us to our driver who was returning us to the airport. Our whole experience was wonderfully well organised any assistance was readily available and Ranger Safaris obviously have a wealth of experience Thank you all so very much definitely 5 stars xxx

The Best There Is In The Safari Game!
There really aren’t sufficient words to express the overall success of this safari trip! Every step of the way my family and I experienced attentive, understanding staff and the accommodations throughout the trip were truly phenomenal. First, let’s talk accommodations. I didn’t know what to expect as this was my first time ever being to Africa. But in both the coffee lodge and acacia farm lodge locations, I was stunned at the quality! I’ve stayed in hotels in the USA that were far inferior. To boot, when staying in the Tarangire and Serengeti national parks, we stayed in tents that rivaled any tent I’ve ever stayed in! The facilities at the Nyikani camps in both parks were truly first class and made the trip even better. Second, let’s talk food. I have had far worse meals at popular restaurants back home, and I don’t think it could have been any better. We ate like we were fine dining every breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food combinations were delightful and delicious. Even when dining in the camps in the national parks, the meals were fantastic. I was very impressed! Finally, the reason for the trip in the first place: the safari. Holy cow! We did game drives in the Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and Serengeti national parks…and we saw everything we had hoped to see! In particular, I want to mention our safari guide, Issa, who made the entire event excellent. He clearly knew where to find animals of interest, and he understood from the very outset just what was important to our group and made sure it happened. We not only saw all the “Big 5” animals, but we got to get good photos of them as well. Issa made sure we saw everything we wanted to see, even predators on the hunt and with kills. He was especially accommodating of my 91 year old father, adjusting our game drive times and durations to allow for him to be more comfortable. In the end, I simply can’t express how grateful I am for this trip, and how effective Ranger Safaris was at pulling off a highly successful experience for my whole family. I would STRONGLY recommend them in the highest terms possible. If you’re considering an African safari in the future, you better be looking at Ranger Safaris. You’ll thank yourself so the way home!

          Mzuri sana! Great safari experience!
The trip was great! Issa was our guide and safari driver. He helped us find all the animals so we could get great pictures. He knew so much about the plants, birds and animals and could answer all of our questions. We went to Tarangire, Ngorogoro crater and Serengeti. It was a great experience! Really enjoyed it and would recommend this trip to everyone.

Amazing Safari experience with Ranger Safaris (Great Safaris)
We are on the last day of our November 2024 Safari that has taken us through Tarangire, Manyara, Ngorongoro crater and Serengeti national parks in Tanzania 🇹🇿. There is clearly much coordination that must take place to pull off an amazing safari vacation for us from other parts of the world. We are four brothers and our 91 year old father on our first African safari. From the pick up at JRO to the night stays at the coffee plantation in Arusha, Nyikani bush camps, and Acacia Farms. The transitions were flawlessly executed, the accommodations safe and clean, and the staff well trained in customer service. There are two particular standouts… 1) The staffs at the Nyikani camps were punctual, polite, and the meals were magnificent; in fact, I created a new category “Magnificent” when rating the meals at on the Tarangire Nyiakani performance evaluation. I will do likewise for the Nyikani Serengeti camp staff. Ranger Safari chose well to coordinate our nights’ stays at Nyikani camps. 2) Issa the safari director and driver. Issa attended to our needs well. He quickly found out our definition of a successful safari and worked to meet that goal throughout. The roads in the parks are rough and wore us all out after several hours and especially my father. I was touched at Issa’s thoughtfulness to adjust length of game drives and rest times to meet my father’s (BABU) needs. Our goal that became his was to get great picture opportunities of each of the big five. I thoroughly believe that he would have felt truly disappointed had we not achieved that goal. Safari Ranger is lucky to have Issa and should lock him up with generous contracts as a safari guide. Such a move would assuredly bring additional business. Thanks to Issa, Nyikani, the staffs of Acacia Farms, coffee plantation and Ranger Safari for a very successful vacation. Asante Sana, Matt Snell

          An Amazing Adventure
We just came back from our second African safari. Issa from Ranger Safari was our tour guide and driver for 6 days out of our 16 day journey in Tanzania. His knowledge of Tarangire and Ngorongoro history, wildlife and vegetation was beyond impressive. There wasn’t anything he did not know. He had a kind of six sense as to where the animals were and what they would do next. We saw lots of zebras, lions, wildebeest, impala, buffalo, giraffes, elands, kudu, hippos and many more lesser known animals. He was flexible tailoring the safari to our interest, yet exposing us to extraordinary places we could not imagine existed. He was on top of our schedule, very organized, making sure we had everything we needed every day. Very accommodating with my picture taking too. He made it all about our experience. He was extremely polite and an interesting person. It was a pleasure to be with him for 6 days. I highly recommend you ask for Issa when you plan your trip to Tanzania.

Israel is the best guide ever
Our safari with Israel as our guide was truly the trip of a lifetime! Israel’s kindness and attentiveness made every moment special. He took care of every detail, ensuring we were comfortable and fully engaged in the experience. His knowledge and expertise were incredible, and he seemed to have a sixth sense for finding all the amazing wildlife of the Serengeti. From majestic lions to elusive leopards, Israel’s keen eye and deep understanding of the area brought the magic of the Serengeti to life. Thank you, Israel, for creating unforgettable memories—we couldn’t have asked for a better guide!

Amazing trip with a brilliant company
Everything we got from Ranger Safaris was amazing. The trip was booked through Trailfinders in the UK. All the transfers were well done and all the staff we encountered were friendly and warm. Our guide Mathey was a lovely guy and was a font of knowledge on the animals. He took time to understand what sort of animals we wanted to see and made sure he found plenty. The drivers all work together really well to make sure that everyone sees as much as the can during their safari. I do not think we could have had a better experience and the company were a large part of that. I could not recommend more highly.

          Tanzania 4 reserve Safari
Safari to 4 reserves. We were a party of 8 in 2 vehicles. Our guide was Solomon, with Kerry,Nicki and Stewart in our vehicle. Godson was the other guide with David and Arlene, Ken and Gina. Both guides were exceptional, and tried every way for us to have a good safari. They didn't disappoint us at all, we saw all of the big 5, and more. If we ever do another Safari with this company, I would try and get either of these 2 guides. 5 ⭐ plus. Could not have wished for a better Safari.
