Our experience with Trango Adventures was truly exceptional. Every member of the crew was highly skilled, courteous, and attentive to our every need, ensuring that our journey was smooth and enjoyable. Our guide, Mr Hamid, frequently demonstrated his considerable expertise, especially when compared to guides from other expeditions. Thanks to his foresight and decision-making, we avoided missteps such as falling into rivers or setting off late, which might have exposed us to treacherous road conditions due to rising water levels. We also sidestepped unnecessary risks while traversing the glacier for 15 days, where collapsing ice and unexpected crevasses posed significant dangers. Mr Mubashir, our assistant guide, was equally impressive. His vast knowledge of politics, history, and current affairs made for stimulating and engaging conversations throughout the expedition. Mr Abas, our chief cook, was not only kind-hearted but also prepared excellent meals. His attentiveness, alongside the rest of the crew, was instrumental in nursing my son back to health when he experienced stomach issues and nausea. This was in stark contrast to our experience the previous year in Nepal, where the crew lacked similar expertise in dealing with such matters. The entire operation was impeccably organised, and I look forward to returning to Pakistan with Trango Adventures once again.

Just back and still processing this trip. Not my first trek, certainly the hardest. Pakistan is an arduous undertaking. It can be very hot (it was, very), the camp to camp to camp distances are often long (15-20km) and although the gradient and general mountaineering aspect is not extreme, the conditions underfoot make for slow going. If you you’ve done Everest base camp, then every day, except the first two or three, is EBC. The views are unparalleled. Famously named peaks present themselves every day. Expect congested, hectic and filthy campsites, but incredibly loyal and hardworking trek crew who, we certainly felt, would do anything for you. A hint: always make a very early start each morning, 6am walking at the latest. We also did Gondogoro. Now, that WAS a challenge. But it must be endured, because the Hushey. Valley descent is beautiful. Retracing one’s steps back down the Baltoro would be a chore. You MUST have a high level of fitness for this. It is not enough just be out walking regularly and feel like you’re in “good shape”. You need to be pounding g the gym for months beforehand.

We put our trust in Trango Adventures to carry out our travel project in Pakistan in July 2024. Trango Adventure surpassed all our expectations for the K2 base camp trek! Everything was perfectly organized from the beginning, the visa process for Pakistan to the flight home! TrangoAdventure has very experienced managers, mountain guides, porters, drivers, and for me personally, our cook was an absolute god on our trek! The food was great, perfect for the conditions we were in! the food was always much more than we could eat! This is a review of a non-K2 trip I did with Trango: I went with Trango Adventures on a road tour of the Hunza Valley and a trek to the Nanga Parbat basecamp. I had a wonderful time! All Trango staff were responsive, encouraging, helpful. A big Heads up for Shahid (email correspondence and booking) and Shabir (supervisor) - both were extremely helpful. My guide was Haiji ... excellent, caring, concerned, engaging man. The vistas, the mountains, the glaciers, the day hikes, the trek were stupendous. This trip involves the use of mountain guesthouses of varying quality, but none were problematic for me; they were better than some in Nepal.

I and my friends went to trek on K2BC and Gondogoro La in July-August 2023. We are from Thailand. One man did trekking many years ago but it's my first time in Pakistan and so do the other two girls. Before going, I felt a little scared due to all bad news of Pakistan. I didn't feel safe as a woman to go trekking in Pakistan. Surprisingly, I and my friends felt totally comfortable with friendship of Pakistani from the first day to the end of the trip. We felt like home, like trekking with brotherhood, like family members. Trango adventure provides us genuine service and frank friendship. The staff are all kind and caring. In addition to the staff in the trip, Pakistani people whom we met along the way were excited to greet us. I was surprised that many Pakistani girls came to ask for taking photo with me and gave me some snack or gift. I totally impressed how safe and sincere here. The nature of Baltoro glacier is unique and magnificent. it's so much different from Nepal and Indian Himalaya where I normally go trekking every year. Definitely, I will come back for trekking in Pakistan and with service of Trango adventure. Highly recommend.

I chose Trango Adv because it is one of the few agenzies that guarantess departures even wih just one partecipant. My group was supposed to be 3 people but, few days before departure, 2 gave up so I found myself alone. This was not a problem and TRango arranged a tour only for me, with a guide, a cook and 2 porters. The trek was incredible: i had my own tent where sleeping and, being alone, I ate in the kitchen tent with the team. The guide Marco Hussein (i gave him an italian name) proved to be expert and very knowledgeable, and spoke excellent English. Due to bad weather, we did no reach Base Camp and the trekking was always done safetely. In Skardu I was welcomed by all Trango Staff and they also organized me trips around Skardu and they arranged me a car when I decided not to come back to Islamabad by plane.
