        So much fun
Having just moved to Perth we wanted a fun day out for three adults three children while it was a bit quieter before the schools break up for Christmas. We booked to come mid week when the Black Friday deal came on so got 20% off tickets, it was great there were a few school trips and families but didn’t have to queue long for the slides! We were here from opening until it closed luckily it wasn’t too hot, the new lagoon pool that’s opened is great, there are plenty of areas for all age groups alongside golf and chess and a couple of mazes. There is also a koala experience which unfortunately is not included but we paid and it was great got up close and learned a lot about them! Would definitely recommend and be coming back again!

        Great family fun day
We had a brilliant day here with our children (boys) aged 10, 12 and 14. They loved the water rides so much that we didn't get to do any dry activities.

        Outback sploosh
My husband and I took our two children aged 11 and 13 to Outback Splash. We knew that during the winter the water play area would be closed but thought the mini golf, koalas and mazes were worth a journey out to see. The cost of $10 per person was definitely reasonable and I also thought the food was quite tasty and not too expensive. What really disappointed me to no end and why I gave two stars was that we paid the extra to see the koalas up close. The koalas looked so miserable - they sat on their branch with their head against the wall the whole time. I get that it is their environment and they were sleepy, but why charge for this ‘experience’ if you’re not even able to take a photo of the front of the koala. I have a beautiful picture of my son with the koalas butt. The attraction I also thought as constructive feedback should have had two people running it - one person to answer questions people may have from the viewing deck and the other for the people in the enclosure who paid the extra. Our person spent the entire time talking to everyone else and just moved a set of steps around for my kids to step on and try and pat the back of the koala. I think in the winter, this park is really clutching at straws with activities for kids.

A reasonably priced outstanding adventure for the entire family!
Fantastic place - mini golf, mazes, animals and incredible water play. Suits a wide variety of ages. Also has a decent cafe. Staff were great (rare at kid venues!), pleasant, patient and constantly observant of kids in the water - offering tips on slides and advice they were actually a highlight!

        A great family day out!
Coming back here as an adult with your spawn is a trip down memory lane. Pristine lawn (some would have lawn envy!) great clean facilities and timeless classics, even if it’s the quieter times it’s worth a trip to see all the nearly retired English people get burned

Good time, disappointed with staff in burger bar.
I really enjoyed the park and my son had a great time. The koala experience was also good my issue and the 3 stars only is because I specifically went in to the burger bar to ask when was last ordering to get my son dinner before we went home and was told kitchen closed at 4pm. So at 3.40pm I went back in to order to be told no kitchen is closed. She then argued with me that must have got it wrong. There was 3 of us adults we didn't get it wrong. The staff member said to be nice maybe come in at 3.45pm so give some time before they close up. So now I promised my kid dinner and had to let him down and he has to go hungry until we reach food on way home, which there wasn't much on the way. Staff had no name badges so her asking who told me was useless.

        Average day
Beautiful toddler pool, wonderful gardens and shady areas. Shady huts available for hire around the kiddie pool. Went looking for a pool to swim in. No pool. Explains why older kids where running through the toddler pool with little consideration for toddlers. It is a beautiful spot but for young adults, teenagers or us older couples there wasn't much to do except line up for 45 minutes to have a slide.

        Poor experience with young kids
Previous reviews (that I should have read) capture the issues with this place pretty well. If you've been to well known waterparks elsewhere in the world then be prepared, Outback Splash is miles below that standard. We arrived with 3 very excited younger kids (6,4 & 1.5 years old) and were prepared for it to be a busy bank holiday. It seems the venue weren't as prepared, despite times of Covid and the loophole of "no masks" at places like this there was no cap on ticket sales and the place was packed beyond reason. The "Octopus Bay" toddler area (where we booked a Cabana) was a total riot of all aged kids for the whole day, our little man was quite overwhelmed. This area is also only partly covered and given the age of children and number of adults hovering to supervise i think they could shell out for a sail over the slide area. Splash Island had 15 minute queues for slides that were so short and slow that my 4 year old was bored after going on just one of them. Two clear reasons for the queues were rides being too slow (I mean myself and the 6 year old both had to shuffles ourselves down sections of two slides) and the fact that you had one stressed, teenage lifeguard operating multiple slides and nobody at the bottom of them - clear case of safety and enjoyment traded off with cheaper running costs. The larger rides looked fun (The Wall certainly was) but we only managed on one of them due to the 25 minute wait time, half of which was in full sun. Only feedback here was again staff related, they should be checking height and weight of riders before they join these queues. On the one ride we went on we saw several crying kids and angry adults walking back down the 5 flights of stairs after being turned away at the top of the slides - pretty poor. Toilets were way to small for the number of people in the venue, the one and only kids height urinal was backed up from about 11am and still that way before we left at 3pm. Only 2 cubicles which were rendered filthy beyond use pretty quickly. I could go on about other small issues but it's mostly stuff you'd really expect from a big venue like this so no need to go into detail, just go in eyes open. So in summary, I'm not in a rush to go back - there are hundreds of better things to do around this fantastic city with $200 that your kids will love.

Unacceptable price for what you get.
You cannot charge $40 a head and not even provide a pool. Only half decent if you have younger kids for the octopus splash area. Having zero mechanical rides is absolutely fine but you simply cannot slog a family $100+ for 4 mediocre water slides and no where to swim. Hate to condemn a theme park when I think it’s healthy for Adventure world to have competition but for an extra $10pp please get value for money elsewhere. Should be renamed backyard splash.

Perth's Outback Splash - Perth's most thrilling waterslide experience.
So firstly all my friends who are parents and have kids, if you want to really “Tire out your kids”, then this place is for you! Today the team and I were not prepared for the level of epicness experienced at Outback Splash. In the past other amusement parks, we’ve visited only offer a one hour or time-limited pass. But not Outback Splash it’s an all-day event which is fantastic value for money. There are so many things to see and do, we ran out of time, which is now a great excuse to return. After a morning session on the slides, the team and I headed off for a game of mini-golf which Bryce won, AGAIN! Then following a quick lunch the gents lazed on the deck chairs while I explored the animal sanctuary and attempted of the mazes. One of the many other things that impressed me with Outback Splash was the level of supervision. You never have to look more than 5 meters away to see a staff member or lifeguard who were all super friendly and helpful. Thank you to everyone who attended, thank you to the amazing staff at Outback Splash, we cannot wait to return! Visit their website for more info and tickets below

        The Maze Bullsbrook
We visited he Maze last week with 2 grandchildren and even though the Outback Splash Section was closed for winter there was loads for the children to do. We also booked Archery for the four of us and this was great fun. The organisation and Safety was of the highest degree and we felt our 2 grandsons 7 and 8 were not in any danger. I would recommend the Archery to everyone. There are 4 mazes to enjoy and lots of other activities including mini golf, kangaroos, emus, birds, wombat. The grounds are very well maintained and the food at the cafe was very adequate. The price for the School holidays of $10/person entry and $10/person for Archery was very good value. We will certainly visit again in the future.

Was expecting a great day out after looking on the website and seeing the new slides and was really pleased that we finally had something like this in our area instead of having to travel to Adventure World. We had not been here for 11 years since our youngest was a toddler.

Overall the place looks great but we really struggled to find any shade as it was all taken. Plenty of people had their own gazebos and I did not realise that you could bring your own otherwise I would have.

We arrived at 11am, got creamed up straight away and excitedly went to have a go on the new slides. The tube slides had long queues and it looked like the other slides didn't so we chose to go on them first. As we walked up the stairs we realised where the queues were for these and that was where it went downhill really.

We queued for a long time to have a go on the first slide and there was absolutely no need for this. For starters they seem to employ lots of children (young adults) to supervise these activities and there was one young fella looking after 2 slides. He spent more time talking to people than watching the monitors and therefore did not even see when people were getting off the slides so this caused a fair bit of the delays. There was also one queue for the 2 slides with no distinction to which one you were going on and therefore he had to keep leaving his area at the entry to the slides to control the lines.

After the disappointment of the first slide we went straight to the queue for the tube slides. The blackhole had by far the shorter queue so we decided to go on that one. You had to wait for people with the tubes to come off before getting the tube from them to go on. On reaching the top there was one young man again operating both tube slides and having to also weigh everyone. Enough said!!!

We got off the slide and it was already 1245pm and we were gobsmacked that it had taken about 1.5 hours to go on 2 slides. Not impressed!!!

After a quick lunch we went on the maze's which were okay and a bit of fun and we also looked at the wildlife they have. The kangaroo and emu area looked amazing as it is done out to look like an outback town and it looks great. Would love to have seen it be bigger though with all of the space they have.

After we had finished with this area we asked the kids if they wanted to go back to the water slides and none of them including ourselves could be bothered to wait in the same queues again so we decided to leave.

OMG Outback Splash, you have an unbelievable opportunity here to make this place great and to pinch customers who don't necessarily want to travel to Adventure world. You have lots for the little kids but not enough for the teenagers. Employee some more staff and give them better training with an emphasis on getting the slides working to their full potential which will drastically reduce the wait times and increase the fun.

We will only return if the problems are fixed otherwise a lot of money to go on a couple of slides as once you've done the other bit you wouldn't want to really keep going back to it.

Hey Spennygirl, Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review, it is a great summary of our positives and some of the operational issues we are hopefully proactively working through since adding 4 new slides in November 2019. Our Team, while many are young, are normally fantastic and we get a large amount of positive feedback on their demeanor, their service and their safety focus... However, we have forwarded your review to our Team trainers to encourage them that ongoing improvement is the goal. The wait times are a by-product of the number of Guests using the attractions at any given time, the rules dictated by the slide manufactures, and our own safety focus. This is something we are looking at intently; how to get as many Guests using the slides as possible while ensuring Guest safety. And without question of the two, wait times vs safety, safety is our number one priority. We will be working hard to get better and hopefully we get the chance to host you again in the future :)

Awesome place hey. Big slides were awesome but it was very busy and nearly waited 30 minutes to get on a slide. Food was ok. Great place for small kids under 5 because of the water playground in which my kids had a ball.

There is no pool which brings security because kids can’t drown and my 5 kids were able to roam freely without to much worry. Nice day out🤙🏻

Gutted I couldn’t do a bomb in a pool lol

Best thing about the day was the cabana we hired to get away from the crowds. Park was significantly understaffed compared to other water parks visited. This made lining up a long and weary process particularly at the Splash Island feature.

Not only did this impact wait times but also safety. I felt sorry for the lifeguards who were having to manage multiple slides. At one point at the end of the day we witnessed an accident where two children were stuck in one of the slides that require an inflatable. The lifeguard did not recognise this and sent two larger adults down, who collided with the children. This appeared to leave all parties a little upset and apparent very minor injuries.

Having visited water parks in the US, Europe and UAE who often have a lifeguard at the top and bottom of each slide this place felt well under par with staff. It felt like they were really trying to maximise profits at the expense of patron experience and safety.

The food and drink were overpriced so take your own. There are BBQs there if you want to heat food.

There are probably better things you can do in Perth with amount of money you would spend here.

Children enjoyed the activities apart from long lines. However there is insufficient shade while the children are lining up and insufficient for adults. More seating while waiting for children to come down rides would be appreciated. The pool areas should be shaded.

Probably an attraction that is more suited to kids and teens than adults (and should be priced as such). My 2 kids had a wonderful time with the playground and kids' pool. There are lots of green spaces to set up a tent - and I advice to do so as shaded spots can run out quickly. Food was good and plenty of parking available.

Highly recommend the park. We came from the UK and took our 4&5 year old. There were life jacket floaties (ours didn't need them as they swim) and they had lots of life guards. Very strict rules on heights for the slides. Plenty for mine to go on. Lots of added extras including mazes, mini golf, chess and more. A brilliant day out. It was busy but that was to be expected and I felt it was still really worth going to! Staff pleasant. We didn't eat the food there as we brought some stuff with us.

This waterpark has lots of different activities for children of all ages. Our 3 and 7 year old could go on lots of different slides, etc. However you have to be aware of minimum height requirements for some slides. The two children loved play in the area for younger children and spent the whole day there. Towards the end of the day went on a few of the rides but our youngest couldn’t go on those. We popped across to the pool and the children enjoyed that just as much. There was more to the park like the crazy golf but we chose to spend our time in the water.

We went during term time for the children and it was great as we didn’t have to queue for hours to go on the different rides/ slides. If we had gone during the holidays or on the weekend we would have had to wait a lot longer.

Outback splash is fun but when you repeatedly go it just doesn’t hit the same. Like yes it’s fun like very fun but don’t over do it by going like every week! There’s a kiddy water slides then a pool for the babies and big slides for the elders. The wall is the best! Then hit the lagoon for a while very fun. The mini golf is fun too. BURGER BAR BURGERS ARE YUMMY! The mazes are hard as hell

We had a great day at Perth’s Outback Splash. This is the only water park I’ve been too that has a large grass area you can set up your only mini marquee shades and bring your own food. There is a shop there with food and icecream too. The small slides for kids are fun.
The bigger ones for the tall kids are fantastic, the lines were big but moved quickly.
