Amazing white water rafting trip hosted by Paolo and Claudia today! The scenery was fantastic and the rapids were really fun. There was a nice mix of shooting down the rapids, cooling off swimming in the river, and jumping off the rocks. Paolo and Claudia made it all really friendly and fun. The trip finished with a picnic on the river bank (included in the price) which was a lovely surprise. Also included were all the photos and GoPro footage. Really great value for money and myself and my family would highly recommend Melgaco White Water.

Photos, history, an after snack and a toast to celebrate... and friendship. I can write you a book. Rafting was great, but it could have just been rafting. Take rafting out, and give me just the experience with Anselmo and Claudia, the entire package Melgaço put together, the great company from Anselmo and Claudia, the friendship and interest in you, the stories and sharing, the flat out good fun together and doing more than just sitting in a rubber boat. We were very fortunate that the day we went we were the only group with Melgaço, and only one other company with a single group from Spain that we passed by as they started out. We saw some of their activities (or lack thereof) and really knew that Melgaço makes it a whole experience. (I'd pay double) If you want to: Getting in the water and learning to drift, jumping from the rocks (there's no looking back!), learning how to get into a raft from the water (it isn't simple even for an athlete!), and several other little things that just make it more. There's plenty of low key time for those who are a little concerned. My 14yo daughter and 17yo son loved it and embraced both the adventure and the relax! Beautiful and unique location. If you're looking for 3/4/5 class, well, you should know better. But there's MORE than enough for a good time together, first timers or experienced just looking for something fun to do together and see some beautiful scenery along a border river with some cool history. Very grateful to have finished our trip this day. And thanks for the restaurant and Tui visit advice! My new friends, I hope to send you good company and shake your hands again some day. This activity is very good for a new experience, with a break to jump from different heights to the river. To be honest we were actually expecting some bigger rapids, but still we had tons of fun.

Simply Amazing!!! Monitors who involve us in the experience at all times, it is impossible not to feel the passion they have to share. Everything from the wonderful surroundings of Gerês, the wonderful Minho River, the breathtaking trails, the smells, till the silence of the wilderness that surrounds us! Very easy to contact via email and responsive company. Also very good English which was much easier for us to deal with. Very well organised trip. We had a fantastic group on our raft and the guide was fun and knowledgable. Good price which includes pictures/videos and post rafting snack and drink. We had absolutely amazing time and would definitely do it again. Highly recommended.

Extraordinary experience! Staff is super nice and the service is excellent. When we wanted to book the rafting, they where very fast to reply. They served a typical ham sandwich and local white whine from Melgaço at the end of the experience which was very good. They had a photographer taking photos along the river and the guide took photos and videos during the trip with a GoPro. All the photos and videos are included in the price you pay! In the middle of the trip, you can jump to the water from a cliff 5 meters high! Before leaving, they offered us a bottle of the local white whine. I recommend this adventure.

We were a group of 4 and our guide. The preparation, equipment, instruction, of course the rafting itself and the service after the tour were perfect. The tour is perfect for inexperienced rafters or whole families. It has passages where you can swim or jump off the rocks. All together a top recommendation.

Great Company professional & excellent staff and a truly entertaining experience with a snack & glass of local vino as refreshments at the end ! Even a bottle of wine in the guest pack to take away with on line photo's from their photographer all included ! Great guide and kept us safe and sound throughout ! We spent a great day enjoying of some paintball and rafting for a stag do at Melgaço Whitewater. The whole service was great and very well organised. The rafting along the river Miño was excellent; Especial mention to Carlos, who made sure we enjoyed ourselves whilst giving us some great tips to paddle our way down the rapids. After a long day of activities, we were greated at the end of our rafting experience with an Albariño tasting from a local vineyard and a nice serrano ham sandwich. We will be back for sure!!
