Banti planned an amazing 3 day cultural visit for us. Banti was professional and had everything planned out by the time we arrived in Arba Minch. Banti hired a very skilled and proficient driver for our excursions up the mountain slopes. We traveled with young adults, teens and a child and everyone had an incredible time. Banti really went out of his way to show us ceremonies, markets and beautiful nature. He was always helpful with rstaurant recomendations and ready to drop us of wherever we wanted to go. The whole experience was very unique and truly amazing. Personally we would have enjoyed a bit more nature and maybe one less day visiting tribes. It also felt a little bit unpersonal at times, especially becasue Banti was our age and it would have been cool to connect a little bit more. But in general, I would definitely recmmend booking a tour with him, he is a great tour guide who makes sure you get to discover the beauties of Ethipia!

We spent two days in Arba Minch and Banti gave us great experiences in this short time. We took a boat trip on Lake Chamo and marveled at the many crocodiles and hippos. We were also in the Nechsar National Park in the dense forest at the 40 springs. On adventurous tracks we drove further into the national park over the "Gods Bridge" and had breathtaking views of the two big lakes. A highlight were the zebras to which we walked and could observe them from close range. The visit to Dorze Village was also very impressive. We were very warmly welcomed and learned a lot about their culture. Banti is a great guide as he is from the area himself and brings you closer to the country and its people in a very sensitive and empathetic way.

It was a great trip through the Omo Valley, arranged skillfully by our guide Banti. He responded to all messages quickly and clearly; was flexible with what we wanted to see and pay for; was always on time; things happened exactly as promised; everything was done in a courteous, respectful, and friendly manner - no drama of any sort, only good professional guiding and arrangements. Two big extras was helping us choose a better hotel in Jinka than the one we originally considered, saving us a lot of money too; and filling the last afternoon in Jinka (when Banti had already gone back to Arba Minch) by arranging a very nice hike up to the Ari village led by a local guide for which Banti paid himself and which was not part of the agreed itinerary. That’s what “exceeding expectations” means in practice. Needless to say, by virtue of being based in Omo Valley Banti is more competitive cost-wise than the larger or more distant tour operators who only intermediate. All in all, Banti is an excellent guide/trip arranger who’s local, knows the area inside out, and is highly trustworthy in terms of fulfilling promises, being on time, and going the extra mile. Couldn’t recommend him more highly.
