About
This boat experience will help you immerse yourself in the local culture, the Diani community and their unique hospitality. The warmth of the local people as they guide you through the waters, explain to you about the fishing, and then to the sand bank. The glass boat offers you a nice view of the Diani marine life. Our experienced captain/ Boat operator putting up a show. The captain will throw a piece of bread or food into the sea and then dive beneath the glass-bottomed boat and attract special fish species that are not allowed to be fished courtesy of a local agreement by all fishermen and boat operators. Then the fish will be attracted to the glass boat creating a spectacular show. The boat has an upper compartment that visitors can safely climb and have very spectacular views and photos. Once the boat has docked at the sand bank, the guests will party for 45 minutes or lazily bank in the sand.

When we arrived we discovered there is a beautiful restaurant with amazing food called Estuary Beach Lounge which sell the same exact excursion plus dinner and drinks included for 5000ksh (Kenyan Shillings) That is a deal!! Call +254750260057 or email info.sharingtransfers@gmail.com Last I heard, they charged 1,250 kes per passenger. There is a catch though, if you take the shuttle from/to the office at is less than half price just 600 kes per passenger. The driver was friendly and polite and very patient especially because my kids wanted us to make stops to buy things along the way. Fortunately Pollmans Tours were there and were fantastic and arranged a taxi for the hour long transfer via the dreaded Ferry journey although we had to pay, disappointed with TRAVEL2 and BARRHEAD travel who organised the holiday.Written November 29, 2019

Was picked up on time from my hotel. Went to the beach and got on the boat. Made 2 stops to pick up other tourists and then we got out on the “deeper” waters. Good guides who showed us lots of interesting creatures such as sea cucumber and sea spiders. Those who wanted to could swim and look at all the beautiful fish- they were plentiful. And we spendt a little time on an “island”- is is only there pending the tides. My guide made sure I got safely back to my hotel. Was a very pleasent afternoon.

The snorkeling was alright, but the staff simply staffed us like sardins in a can, and had no particular interest in disclosing where we were heading or what the plan was.

wonderfull experience by the well organized kaaribu experience we really had fun from the airport pick up to the destination and back ,i would definety do it again with Kaaribu.
