About the operator
- A5670MRmelanies00Don’t book a Jet-ski Tour with: Aqua Diani Jetski‼️Danger ‼️Pure rip-off ❌ ⛔️The boss is only interested in money! We booked a dolphin tour and the waves were way too high so we had an accident. It was life-threatening! I had a panic attack and the jet ski broke. The guides Julius and Victor helped immediately but the waves threw the jet ski onto Victor and he almost died during the rescue. The boss wasn't interested in how or what happened, he just wanted his money! So we had to pay for a tour that didn't happen and I had to pay an additional $250 for the spare part of the jet ski! An absolute disgrace! It could have been much worse but the boss didn't care. Only the employees were understanding because they experienced firsthand how dangerous the situation was.
- 421jiag00Pleasant experienceGood experience overall. The staffs are enthusiastic and want to ensure all the clients are happy and meet our expectations.
- 745timothyv00SCAM!!I'd give ZERO STARS if it was an option. This "company" is a scam. DO NOT PURCHASE AN EXCURSION WITH THEM. It is a fraudulent tourist trap. My wife and I were in contact with them about swimming with the whale sharks for our honeymoon. They confirmed with us that they spotted the whales, and we confirmed with them that we'll be purchasing their excursion for $500 USD. The day before our excursion, they cancelled on us, claiming they'll issue us a refund. It's now 4 months later, and they still have not issued our refund. They keep giving us the "run-around", and have stopped responding. At this point we'll be reporting them as fraudulent. SAVE YOUR MONEY. Do NOT take your business to them, they will keep your money and cancel on you. We won't let this go until they give us our money back, but save yourselves from this awful headache.
- 4bj_rnm00BiketourWe did the biketour (total of 30 km) from coral spirit to Bora Bora, sacred forest and the monkey reservation. We had a fantastic guide Anthony who told us a lot about Kenya. I would recommend this bike tour if you are up for something more adventurous, love a good workout and really want to see more of Diani.
- lulu9506000Great 3 Hour Snorkeling Glass Bottom TripCrew was awesome! We didn’t have time to do a full day snorkel trip but this three hour glass bottom tour was perfect for us. Definitely recommend this company.
- Connect8500A day tour at Chale Island,KenyaWith the ideal geographical location of Chale Island a huge variety of boat excursions are offered weekly. Twelve kilometers to the North of the Island lies Diani Beach (ranked as the fifth best beach in the world). Twenty kilometers to the South is Kenya’s top marine reserve, Wasini. Full day trips with fantastic snorkeling and regular sightings of Dolphins are arranged either weekly or on demand. Two kilometers to the West of the Island, a local fishing village, Gazi, is bordered by mangrove swamps to one side and a coconut plantation to the other. Excursions to Gazi allow one a glimpse of traditional Kenyan life, an inspection of the mangroves either on the women’s community boardwalk or by Kayak, or a stunning sunset trip in the bay.
- zeehtaa00Great TripWe had a nice trip, we got to see the corals, fish feeding as well as having a walk on the dunes of the coast.
- simonel43500Wasini Island full boat tripHighly recommended! The driver was on time, the crew was very friendly and the food was delicious. We saw a few dolphins and went snorkelling. Food and drinks were included, also the slave cave tour in Shimani. Thank you for everything and see you again next time!
- 461rasmusn00Lovely place for camping and delicious dinner! We stayed here one night, camping with our car and rooftop tent, and spent the afternoon and evening on the terrace and in the newly opened restaurant. The staff is extraordinary friendly and service minded compared to local standards and the food was really tasty and delicious. We can highly recommend this place for an overnight stay and/or for dinner. There is a beautiful view from the lovely terrace. The restaurant has also recently been redecorated and refurbished. The place is fenced and has 24/7 security. If we come back to this area we will definitely visit Coral Spirits again!
- vicriver00Not as ExpectedCoral Spirit offers the service of picking us up at the hotel and taking us to Wasini Village where we would get the boat out to Kisite Marine Park. This is a great service except the driver left two people behind so after our 1 1/2 hr ride we had to wait forty minutes for the other couple to catch up. The banner in the hotel lobby advertised that they served breakfast and lunch. The guide didn’t know that so went and found some mini muffins and pop. We finally went down to the boat and it was packed with people from all the other tour operators offering the same trip. There was not enough seating. We refused to get on that boat so they got us another for just the four of us. Four clients, two guys to run the boat and two guides. We did see dolphins on the way out to the park. The snorkeling was only just okay. Lunch at Shimoni Reef was the best part of a long day. After lunch we went down the road (this was the “village walk” part of the tour) to the Shimoni Slave Caves where we had yet another guide for the brief tour. Then the long drive back to Amani. Our vehicle was, at least, air conditioned unlike some of the other tour vehicles we saw. We didn’t have high expectations for this tour (Excursion to Wasini and Funzi Islands)and for the price ($125US each) and our low expectations were not even met. It would have been better to take the snorkel tour Offered by the dive shop at our hotel.
- tutty5200Coral Spirit Dhow Safari Wasini IslandWe recently did this trip with Coral Spirit on a recommendation from friend who lives in Kenya. We were picked up in Diani at 7.30 and joined another 6 people who were also doing the trip. Arriving in Shimoni we were taken down to the Dhow to commence our dolphin watch tour.Along the way we were given quite a bit of information concerning the area and its history. The staff were extremely helpful and each couple was interacted with.At this stage of the trip unfortunately we did not see any dolphins. We were then taken to the snorkeling area and spent about 1 hr swimming. We were escorted by 2 or 3 members of staff with life rings as there was quite a current.Unfortunately most of the coral is dead but you do get to see lovely colourful shoals of fish.Once onboard again we set off for lunch at the main small hotel in Shimoni. The lodge had a great view of the bay.Unfortunately we did not get to eat the promised crab, which we were really looking forward to.Lunch consusted of a Bbq fish and salad and fries or chicken, followed by fresh fruit. For me the meal was a disappointment as the fish was overcooked. After lunch we were taken to the slave caves which were very interesting and then a short walk through the local village which for us did not add anything extra to the trip as it was extremely hot and it had been a long day.We arrived back at the hotel at 5.30 p.m. The crew and staff were quite amazing with all the tips they gave us and were very safety conscious. The lead guide was very passionate about his vocation. All in all an extremely good day out and one although expensive was worth the money.Highly recommend.
- ajvanbeelen00Lovely trip, great service! This trip was really great. We loved Wasini Island, were fascinated by the slave caverns, enjoyed the food, but really really loved the boat trip and snorkling. The coral reef is fabulous, with many colors, fish and we even swam with a sea turtle and saw a murene. The guides were really nice and friendly, very professional and helpful. Excellent service!!! With only 8 people on the boat we enjoyed a near-private sea safari. September, 2013, traveling with wife, parents, brother and his girlfriend.
- Vikki B00Amazing trip to wasini islandThis must be the best crew in the region!!!! Everything was perfect. Got to see the dolphins and the crew was very knowledgeable and professional.
- vikingvampireparrot00Brilliant day outWe went on a dhow trip to Wasini Island with Coral Spirit. It was a lovely day out, if a bit of a long drive from Mombasa. Upon arrival at the dhow departure point we first of all had a tour of the slave caves there (included in price) which was interesting and informative. We then set out on the dhow heading towards the coral reef on the other side of the island. The crew were friendly and helpful and provided a hearty breakfast of croissants, pastries and fruit along with tea and coffee. One point to note about the boat which was very important to me given the length of the trip was that it had a toilet!! During the trip to the reef the crew offered some information on the passing scenery etc and we saw quite a few dolphins swiming around the boats which was lovely. On arrival at the reef we set off on a snorkel tour of about an hour where we saw lots of amazing fish and coral and a large turtle. On return to the boat we were offered a second trip which we took them up on and had another 30min snorkelling time. After this we set off to Wasini Island itself for lunch. On the way there the boat turned off the engines and used the sails for some of the journey, which was lovely and peaceful and nice to see how the boats originally worked. Not all of the other dhows we saw did this. Lunch was at a fairly small restaurant right on the coast with amazing views over the sea to the mainland. Lunch was delicious, with several courses and my only criticism was that the main course for vegetarians was essentially the same as the meat just without the meat - but there had been so much food in the earlier courses it was not really cause for complaint. After lunch we had a tour of the village on the island which was a bit odd and we didn't particularly enjoy. It involved a short stroll around the village with a few facts highlighted and being taken into a souvenir shop before heading to the beach for the boat pickup. I didn't feel it really added anything to the day. Drinks were included with lunch and throughout the day on the boat and in the car. Overall, we had a great day out and would recommend this trip to anyone.
- CovoYY00Fantastic DayA truly wonderful day out. Great value for money. Fresh crab for lunch, and news that there will soon be a new cocktail bar to help you unwind after the trip. A must visit for everyone who wants this kind of experience.

This was a truly magical day! My favourite boat trip ever. The whole Coral Spirit team was amazing from start to finish. And swimming with dolphins (and a reef shark, who although ‘friendly’ thankfully I didn’t see whilst in water…) and guided in water by Hamisi was an incredible day experience. Guided and informed compellingly by Captain Jay and so happily entertained with wonderful drumming and singing on the way home followed by the most delicious lunch on the island with stunning views. Recipe for that sensational soup? I think we all snuck in 3 helpings!! followed by such a generous buffet cooked by local ladies and hostessed by lovely Judy, Authentic, charming and couldn’t recommend more highly if want the real Kenyan experience. What a team! THANK YOU Coral Spirit❤️

A great day! Coral Spirit ensured we snorkeled (even those who couldn't swim), watched dolphins and had a sumptuous lunch! They are a great team! We also went to the Shimoni caves and we were taken through a somber historical trip

I went with my family of 6 (4 kids from 3 to 16 yrs old). Snorkeling was fun and the home made authentic Kenyan food was simply delicious to eat with the magnificent view of the ocean. Tour guides were very nice, they even let my 3yrs old son drive the boat for a while!
Thank you Judy and Juma!

Such a wonderful experience snorkeling and spotting dolphins. I struggled with my mask at first when snorkeling and our guide was so attentive he knew something wasn't ok before I said anything. He helped me get the hang of it and I had a wonderful time snorkeling. We were taken to lunch after where they gave us a sampler platter of things that came from local fishermen. Would definitely recommend this company to all those looking for a an amazing adventure.

What a value for money trip. Staff were very helpful and put a lot of effort into making our experience a good one. Highly recommend, coral reef beautiful, we saw a turtle, big fish and dolphins. Plenty of drink and food included and a really delicious lunch. Also saw a lot of different towns and landscapes. Also met some family treating people..
