Wonderful Displays from Around the World
This place was incredible. Not just the armor and weapons from ancient times, but tapestries, clothing, and even Egyptian mummies! There's so much to see, and its all beautifully displayed

    Worth a visit
It's well worth a visit. One of the best sites to see in Rome, a city where there are many upon many sites to see. Get a ticket in advance. We had to wait three days for tickets.

    Don't go there
Inside you can see a part on the floor, all rooms and walls are empty. There are a few frescos in a main chapel. There are several terracotta bottles or floor ceramics. Don't waist €7 tickets and yours time.

A must see for any history lover.
This was an amazing experience. A must see for any history lover. My husband and I stayed about 3 hours but could easily have stayed longer. The museum is very well laid out and quite reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

    Great views of Napoli
Really nice views of the city. The castle itself is also interesting. We get there waking from the Spagnoli Quartieri but you can take the funicolare if you prefer not to climb!

A must see if you like opulence and taste
This may have been the most opulent yet tasteful house we have ever visited. We have traveled for 50 years seeing Versailles numerous country houses in England, château in France. other houses in other countries, including a Newport, Rhode Island USA. They all are obviously homes of rich people with way too much money to spend. However, in this case, the money was very well. Spent with an emphasis on good taste as well. We hart ally recommend this on visit to Rome if it all possible.

Absolutely gorgeous home with artwork and garden landscape. What a magnificent galleria to explore. Guides inside were knowledgeable and answered our many questions.

The guide didn't even turn up
I went to the venue and then found I had received a text saying the tour was cancelled. Now I've got to struggle to get a refund

    Get tickets from official website
Tour operator told us on the day that we were scheduled to go that they couldn't get tickets for us and that we had to contact them directly to get a refund. No point booking through them might as well go on the official website and guarantee your tickets on there, waste of time doing it here. The Castel itself is a great piece of history

Fabulous Ferragamo! A must do in Florence
Exceeded my expectations. Such a thoughtfully-curated exhibition full of information as well as an artful journey through the Ferragamo design process. And of course, the shoes! The photography of old Hollywood is incredible. Highly recommend if you are a lover of shoes or design or fashion. Beautiful building too and a central location. Book ahead and allow at least an hour. I was there for 90 minutes.

    SCAM ARTISTS
I am outraged. You are scam SCAM ARTISTS. After booking months in advance, 24 hours before our booking you advise you cannot get tickets after saying “you will accept our terms or else!” And now you want ME to arrange a refund after YOU cancel. Ridiculous. Do NOT use this tour operator.

The angel bridge is undergoing work and not visible but the Castel is impressive and still worth a visit.
Our apartment was close to Castel Sant'Angelo so we passed it every day. The skip the line ticket was great and we accessed everything from below ground to the roof. It was far more interesting and varied than we'd expected as it has a great history. Worth learning more about it beforehand if you don't book a guide. The views from the roof across Rome were amazing. Visit took about 90 minutes, and we loved it. Couldn't rate this a 5 as the bridge leading to Castel was boarded both sides, and all the angels were under scaffold and covers, undergoing work for the Jubilee next year. Don't understand why the whole of Rome is currently undergoing work at the same time, and many landmarks such as fountains not fully visible. Would have been great to get the full effect of the Castel from the angel lined bridge. However, we got great photos day and night from all angles, of the Castel. Impressive, and the musicians and artists around the area made it a pleasant place to visit, followed by a riverside walk.

Not worth it - nor your time (20-45min), nor your money (10e).

Don’t expect to learn much (or rather expect to learn nothing) about glass history, creation process, how Venice glassmaking is different from other places, about materials, how it evolved over time etc. The place is more of an gallery of glass art and objects from different periods with some minimal information about them.

Having visited a bunch of glass souvenir stores in Muranów just before going to the museum there was barely any difference between these shops and the museum. Better visit these shops, ask the clerks some questions (and and as such learn) and spend the 10e on merchandise than on the museum.

This is a wonderful collection of glass from all eras since the methods of glass-making were introduced here in the foureenth century. The history of the local industry and some of the famous techniques are briefly but clearly explained. Personally, I found it rather odd that the tour takes you first through a collection of fine examples of contemporary products and then goes back in time, but it didn’t spoil my enjoyment.

It can be a long ride on the waterbus (more than an hour on the northern route from Piazzale Roma, or 50 minutes on the southern route from San Zaccaria) if the waterbus stops at every landing stage, but some of the morning services from San Zaccaria go non-stop in 30 minutes. The landing stages on Murano Island closest to the museum are about 5 minutes’ walk.

We jumped on the vaporetto at St. Mark's Square and enjoyed the ride on the lagoon and had a wonderful conversation with a local Venetian on the way. The museum is stunning! Just get off the boat and there it is - 1 minute walk. Highly recommend the visit. It was a wonderful way to spend a few hours and experience a taste of Murano and the skills of the glass work.

I was looking forward to showing my friend all the old historic glass which used to be displayed with full commentary as you enter the museum. I was bitterly disappointed that all the ancient glass is just displayed in one room with nothing whatever to tell you what is Roman, medieval, from elsewhere, how old, where found and so on. All the modern glass has full details displayed but the best part of the collection ( the ancient part) is just dumped in front of you with no information- I was told the director thought it was a good idea to remove all dates and commentary.

Please update the introduction to this museum on trip advisor as it seems to say that the old glass is properly presented. It is out of date.

I only discovered this disastrous change once we had paid to go in. I was really annoyed.

Good morning, we are sorry to hear about your experience, but we do not see in the service description on VIATOR where it says that each work exhibited has a label with the description. The presentation of these unique works is decided by the museum itself.

We bought a multi museum pass which included the glass museum so we popped in whilst visiting Murano. Somewhat interesting, does have some beautiful pieces on display, other bits were just okay. Not sure I would have paid to visit if we didn't have the multi museum pass

Short but interesting museum about the history of glass making in Murano. Very interesting covering the science and different artistic styles and techniques over many centuries. The microscopic portraits made of glass are particularly impressive! The most interesting thing to do in Murano outside of shopping

Honestly, this was not worth the entrance fee or the time. The staff was very nice, free bag check, and it was very clean. The displays were marginally interesting and the audio guide was not very good. It was a small pad that could be shared, but it was hard to hear and follow along given that fact that there were no ear pieces and the subject matter was not so desirable. Our glass factory tour was much more interesting…

Beautiful garden on entry, with very informative displays throughout. The fact-filled information sheets led one logically to the displays. It takes a good hour or two to do justice to everything, with not a seat in sight.

I came to this museum with high expectations. Unfortunately it can hardly be called a museum, because it provides so little exact information about the history of glass. For instance, there is only one room for the development of glass from ancient Mesopotamia to Greece and Rome. You cannot find out, which items are from which age, or culture. Everything is nicely exposed, but a deeper knowledge is missing.
