Gustavo embodied the Pura Vida vibe of Costa Rica. He was welcoming, encouraging and kind. We could tell that he loved his job and his horses. It was an absolute dream to ride on the beach in Esterillos! Highly recommend this sunset ride ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Excellent activity! Strongly recommend. The horses like to walk in the water a lot and make splashes so bring aquashoes if you can. The view is just paradise. Definitely a "pinch me" moment.

This was awesome! The beach was incredible to ride on and the horses were really well looked after and great to ride. Gustavo was an excellent guide. Very funny and kind. My daughter is an experienced rider while my son and are not. My daughter absolutely loved it as he was able to canter with her in the water while his assistant walked with my son and me. Plus he took fabulous photos of our family. Cannot say enough good things about this! Thank you Gustavo for making my daughter so happy!!!!

Happy, well-trained horses! wow, what an amazing adventure riding with Adrian Solis. Kind, respectful, knowledgeable gentleman who took the time to take AMAZING photos and videos while I was riding! truly went the extra mile... and WOW, what AMAZING horses he has... clearly he trains them all super well and they listen to his every command! Can't wait to go back and ride with Adrian again. ;-)

We had a wonderful beach walk/ride at sunset on La Bejuco beach. There were only four in our group and one cowboy. Adrian was fantastic, so tender with his horses. And very polite and kind to us. ( 60+women) he used our phones and made videos and took pictures for us at no additional charge. We asked to go faster and after he was confident with our riding skills permitted us to canter. It was excellent. We booked directly with them via email. Highly recommend this company.

It was an amazing experience! We definitely got our moneys worth. The horses are super well trained and easy to ride and the sunset was breathtaking! I would 100% recommend:)

I went with a group of 8 and boy did we have an amazing time! Our guide was Gustavo, he was nothing short of being the sweetest man. The more we rode the more you could tell how these horses truly loved and listened to him. We wanted nothing less than to ride on the beach and it was perfect. We had all different level riders in our group and they accommodated us perfectly, giving us the right horse to best suit our riding experience. Overall a great experience! I must come back to do the sunset tour.

This morning ride on the beach was one of our favorite things we experienced in Costa Rica. Gustavo & Adrian were so welcoming & friendly from start to finish. They made my family feel very comfortable on the horses. My mom had not road in many years & she felt confident from the start with their guidance. They were super sweet with my 4 yr old daughter. Along the ride they found shells & even sand dollars they gave my daughter which made her day. The ride was so gorgeous along the beach & the horses were so gentle & easy to ride. They listened very well when Gustavo or Adrian called them. The horses were very well taken care of & healthy looking & you can tell they really loved the horses which made me love them & the ride even more. Such a fun morning. We were hoping to do the sunset ride but it was raining every evening so we decided on the morning & it was just as beautiful. They got us some yummy pineapple drinks at the end of the ride too which was such a sweet gesture. They even invited us to the cattle auction they were going to as their guests. Such a sweet family who really love what they do & aim to give their guests a memorable & beautiful experience. Thank u new friends! We will be back next trip to Costa! Pura Vida!!!!

Magic. Pure magic. The best thing we did on our honeymoon- Gustavo and Adrian ensured we had the best sunset ride catered to me as a lifetime rider and my husband on his 2nd ride ever. If you only go one place and do one thing on your Costa Rica vacation - please do this.

We had an amazing 2 hr morning beach ride with The Riding Adventure. Our tour guide taught us about Costa Rican culture, and was clearly passionate about his horses and his business. We rode down the beach and to a mangrove area. Our guide took several lovely photos for us along the way. The tours are catered to each rider’s comfort level on the horse, with a quick introduction. Great value for cost. We will certainly ride with The Riding Adventure again!

Fantastic day, my wife's dream of riding horses on the beach and it didnt disappoint, the horses were beautiful and well behaved, my 16yo daughter loved it. The beach is amazing, incredible guide, had great conversation. You can park your car at the Pelicano Hotel and he takes you from there. Went on a ride with horsebacktours.com today. the food and people were lovely, but the animals seemed to be neglected. They were tick ridden and their hooves were cracked and the horse shoes were protruding through. I would have had an awesome time if it weren’t for the blatant animal abuse. Wouldn’t recommend supporting this company. It has been hours since the ride and I can’t get the image out of my head of these poor horses.

Yesterday me and my daughters (11 and 12) went horsebackriding with Gustavo and his tourguide. We were lucky and the only ones on the tour! We had an amazing time!! We went riding on the beach on very sweet and beautiful horses. We were able to gallop a few time and we all had the best time! Our tourguide told us a lot about the environment and was very informative. Gustavo made a lot of pictures during the tour and sent it to me even before we were home, very nice memorie! At the end of the tour Gustavo bought us even a coconut to drink from! Thank you Gustavo and tourguide for a great time! We will definitely come again.

We had a blast. We were mixed in with another group that was doing some kind of promo with drones. Adrian saw my husband and I were not thrilled with the drone and let us ride apart from them. My horse was awesome but I was a bit rusty so Adrian switched horses with me and a wonderful trip became even better. Adrian was so accommodating to everyone in the group. What a great experience!!!
