Our group of 19 agreed that our sherry tasting experience was a highlight of our trip. Carlos is knowledgeable and passionate and shared so much information with us! Not only did we learn a lot, but we had a great time. We were staying in a large house and Carlos took care to set up our dining room for the tasting. He brought in the most delicious food pairings to go with each different sherry. It was an amazing afternoon and without a doubt we will be back again for another sherry tasting experience. The tour included 2 sherry bodegas, sherry tasting, iberico tasting. Extra dining in Sanlucar. Tips for driving around the Andalucia. Met the expectations. Well educated guide with extensive knowledge of Spanish history, better than European English skills, good communication skills. Well selected bodegas with good bodega guides. If you love both nature and hiking, this route - and also Carlos is a must. Our tour guide Carlos organised a perfect route for us and led us to exceptional viewpoints. The best description of my experience with Explore la Tierra is the same phrase I repeated over and over again during my tour - "I have no words"! I wanted to learn about organic olive and wine production in Cadiz, and Carlos arranged an ideal itinerary to do that, plus so much more including a walking tour of gorgeous Vejer. Carlos was warm, extremely knowledgeable about everything from wine to the region's history, and really went above and beyond to make sure I not only got the experience that I was looking for, but way, way more - I learned so much, had a blast, and came away with much, much more than I expected - - it was truly a magical day. We had a wonderful day with Carlos. He is a great tour guide with endless knowledge about nature but also other things such as the history of the landscape, olive oil, wines and sherry. He is super friendly, adjusts his tour to your needs and wants and tells the information in such a way that it stays interesting. We learned a lot and had the most beautiful hike. A day to never forget!

We had a lovely time together with our guide Carlos. He is a very friendly and humorous young man with professional knowledge about the local flora and fauna, he also has a excellent knowledge about the local Andalusien history dated back to Christ and beyond that. He always takes his time with him explanations and he gives you a comfortable feeling being with him. By the way our trip included a hiking trip to the Alcornocales National Park and visiting the ancient Roman Site Baelo Claudia and the white village of Medina Sidonia

We did two tours with Carlos, the Sherry and Tapas tour in Cadiz and a guided hike in el Estrecho natural park. Both were fantastic. Carlos is a great guide, he has a huge amount of knowledge about both food and wine and the local flora and fauna. he is also has a very relaxed and friendly attitude that put us instantly at ease. On the Sherry tour we tasted six different Sherry’s with accompanying food pairing while taking in a number of the main sights of Cadiz. Carlos explained the history of the wine and the process used to create it. On the guided hike Carlos took us to a remote area along the coast with fantastic views out to Tarifa and across to Afric I would recommend him to anyone who came to the area and definitely use him again next time we are in the area

We had a fantastic day with Carlos that combined a beautiful coastal walk with an excellent wine tasting. Carlos is a terrific guide who not only finds great activities but combines them with knowledgeable and entertaining narratives. The walk was in an area that we would have never found ourselves and was a perfect combination of stunning coastal views over to Africa and inland views of the countryside and mountains. Having completed the walk we then went to a small vineyard to taste their wine and olive oil which was a delightful way to complete our trip.

Carlos was great company and has a wealth of knowledge to share about the local flora and fauna. We had a fantastic time hiking for 3 hours in the national park San Bartolomé followed by a visit to Baleó Claudia. He always made sure we felt comfortable and he went the extra mile with whatever we needed! We did the Tanacos Sherry+tapas tour in Jerez. Carlos was an AMAZING guide, super knowledgeable about Sherries and about Tapas, and told us so many interesting stories, and also very friendly and fun. Tasting the different kinds of Sherry was a great experience for us, to understand the interesting differences, and understanding the process of how they're made, all this while tasting delicious tapas, in these really cool Tabancos.

Carlos is such a kind soul, and just overall positive person. He is knowledgeable beyond measure, so totally apt and does his job with love, so it’s expected a good time passed. When I return to the area I’ll definitely do other programs with him.
