About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- russellh1380 contributionsA magical hidden world of dolls and teddiesLocated midway up the mountains, in beautiful surroundings of palm trees, lizards and cacti was the perfect setting for this wonderful museum. On arrival, the owner- Georg - was friendly and welcoming and showed us the way to an amazing vast collection of rare dolls and teddy bears. My expectation was that these would be a random mix of toys from across the world when in fact they were all rare collectors toys some of which original works of art with stories attached to them. It felt like we had an exclusive access to a personal collection of unique dolls. Georg’s passion and knowledge was evident as he described the process of making porcelain dolls allowing us a hands on demonstration of the process. We left the museum feeling that we had experienced something unique and found a new appreciation for the art of doll making and the value in the collection. Will we go away and purchase our own limited edition dolls made from a specialist artist? Probably not but it has certainly been a highlight of our holiday so far, away from the hustle bustle of the South in a beautifully tranquil part of the island. Georg was also a glass artist and we couldn’t resist purchasing a few glass angels as presents to put out at Christmas as a nice reminder of a hidden part of Tenerife. If you have a hire car we highly recommend you make the beautiful journey through the mountains to Icod de los Vinos to visit the tiny doll museum and enjoy some of the other picturesque attractions such as the 800 year old dragon tree that this mountainous town has to offer.Written August 16, 2024

- Sam A0 contributionsGreat collection and passionate ownerVisited in August 2023. Was greeted by the owner and was super friendly and clearly very passionate about the museum. He is extremely knowledgeable and his passion was infectious. The collection of dolls is impressive with many very rare dolls (Some are one of a kind, others are from very small batches e.g. between 3 - 200). The owner gave us a lot of information about the dolls including the materials they are made from and even explained how the porcelain dolls are made. I Highley recommend the museum to others and encourage you to visit. Additional information - Parking is available and took us about 1 hour to drive from Costa Adeje.Written August 20, 2023

- Gordon L0 contributionsArtisan Doll Museum where each doll or teddy bear is a work of art.Firstly we were made to feel very welcome. Being an old finca,or farm that had been converted, the exhibitions were in several buildings. This was explained to us by Georg the Austrian owner in English. We were left to wander and promised a demonstration of porcelain doll-making at the end. There are 600+ dolls and teddy bears. The exhibits are of dolls made by true artisans in limited editions. Each has its own character and style whether it is made of porcelain, wax, cloth or papier-mâché. A real delight and the chat with owner so informative. Definitely a place to visit as an adult.Written January 8, 2023
- 260rogerw0 contributionsNice little findWe drove here on the off chance. I’m not a doll fan but thought the kids might enjoy it. I ended up being more interested than the kids. When we arrived we were greeted by a gentleman (can’t remember his name) who gave us a guided tour around the museum and answers every question we asked. We then went on to the workshop where he showed us how the dolls were made and the process. Good value for the money and also has a little shop at the end..Written September 4, 2021
- Stijn V0 contributionsA wonderful exhibition of something i’d never thought i would visit. We looked up some interesting places to visit and I couldn’t help but notice all the good reviews of this puppet museum. They were absolutely spot on. You will meet a very passionate man ( or his wife which we didn’t meet ) about his collection of dolls & teddybears. He gives a lot of information about the artists & how they are made etc etc. Didn’t think I would find it this interesting as it was 😅 This is a perfect combination when you are visiting the Drago Butterfly Park as well. It REALLY is worth your time!Written August 1, 2021
- VladislavVorobev0 contributionsWonderful placeAbsolutely amazing museum with a wide variety of dolls, run by a very wdlcoming family. The visit also includes a lecture about the making of porcelain dolls with illustrstive examples of each step. Just amazing and totally worth visiting!Written January 10, 2021
- RS_57570 contributionsDollVery good place i recommend for everyone also if you don't understand nothing in art! Owners explain lot of thing and how every doll was made !! I will return 100% more!!!Written August 23, 2020

- Saddeck S0 contributionsFascinating museum in a beautiful settingWe have stayed near Icod de los Vinos a few times but never got round to visiting the doll museum until recently. It is a fascinating place set in a beautiful garden. The owner was so kind and helpful and we enjoyed his demonstration of doll making after looking around by ourselves. Our daughter particularly liked helping to finish off the doll moulds. Then we had delicious almond cake made by his wife (thank you for the recipe!) and a drink in the small cafe. Definitely worth a visit.Written March 7, 2020
- AdamBullock0 contributionsCharming, Compelling, and fascinatingGreat thanks to Artlandya for a unique afternoon as we drove around the North of Tenerife this February. We were made very welcome by the owner but left alone to explore with the promise of craft demonstrations and further information should we want it (around 90 minutes later as it happens, once we had taken in the collections). I had no prior knowledge or interest in doll making yet still found the experience fascinating and rewarding; the collections include many different methods of manufacture and finish, and the displays are well arranged and curated to draw you in to the characters. The Dolls and Teddies are sourced from across the world by the passionate owner who will offer as much or as little information as you choose. I would 100% recommend this to anyone visiting the island, the gardens are very peaceful and we stopped for an excellent coffee and chat before heading back down south (although we both regretted not trying the cake on the counter). Thanks again for such an uplifting experience and sharing your knowledge!Written March 4, 2020
- Becky A0 contributionsBeautiful placeWent here earlier today, this place is so very lovely, what a gem of a house and the garden is so beautiful. I’m so pleased we found it and the owner was so attentive and knowledgeable. Well worth a visit, it’s 10 euros entry and also nearby is drago park which is another very interesting place. We were staying in Las America’s on holiday and were on the way to Puerto de la Cruz for the day. This place is very conveniently located en route and well worth a look around.Written February 28, 2020

- RoseyJohnson0 contributionsWonderful collection of dolls and teddy bearsWe thoroughly enjoyed our visit to ARTlandya. The 'museum' is housed in two buildings. We firstly visited the teddy bears who were displayed in different scenes with props etc and were very entertaining. We walked through the rooms twice to make sure that we saw them all. We then moved on to the dolls which had been brought together from all over the world. These have all been handmade by different artists using different materials (papier mache, felt, porcelain etc). Each one has a story to tell and the owner was very knowledgeable about their backgrounds and the artists who made them. We also had a very interesting demonstration/explanation about how to make the porcelain heads/limbs for some of the dolls. I wouldn't describe ARTlandya as a museum as that implies the dolls and teddies are old rather than contemporary. I think the word 'collection' or 'exhibition' would be better. We thought they were all great.Written February 4, 2020

Amazing experience! Definitely worth to visit. The masterpieces are so beautiful that you will want to have them all in your collection. I found out how the dolls are made. It's a hard work, and I'm impressed by results I saw in this museum. The shop offers great choice of even limited edition of teddy bears. If you like something or would like to get something particular in the future just ask for business card with details. They send the works abroad. Make sure you rent the car or be prepared to walk for about half an hour up to mountain to get there. Apart from wonderful visit you'll get amazing view to the ocean and Teide.

An incredible unique museum. I have discovered a lot regarding doll collecting and how one is made from clay to beautifully curled eyelashes.
The owners are more than happy to describe each doll and tell the story behind it. Many of the exponents are unicate and have an interesting history behind them.
Additionally, the museum has a nice garden to enjoy and to admire the view.

Truly outstanding experience. The dolls are so gorgeous, it seems unreal. The teddy bears are beyond cute. The owners are so attentive and welcoming. It's rear to see someone so passionate and knowledgeable about what they do and also so eager to share it with others.
We went there without any particular expectations and left totally overwhelmed. None of us ever expressed any interest to dolls but after visiting the museum we all agreed that we will attend masterclasses as soon as they become available. We would definitely recommend Artlyandya to all, regardless of their age and how much they know about the art of doll making.
Massive thanks to the owners for making our day.

Artlandya - this is a real house for dolls. The dolls that are here are carefully preserved by George and Ingrid for your acquaintance with them. Handmade dolls. Papier-mache dolls. Porcelain and vinyl dolls. Unique dolls!!! One of a kind. We have seen many museums but this museum is special, unique, unrepeatable, amazing.
I really recommend this wonderful place.

We will be visiting on a cruise ship Nov 8th which advertises a day trip to Puerto de la Cruz...1 hour away from port. Where are you situated and can we get to you ? Sorry, just noticed the map. I don't think a visit is possible. 😥
