It was disappointing in the beginning due poor planning and inept problem-solving skills by the team, specifically, Troy. However, it turned out to be a great experience, and utmost credit goes to Maleek, an amazing young man who ended up being our driver/dedicated tour guide.
Instead of focusing on solving the problem, Troy was more focused on providing a refund after keeping us waiting at Frigate Bay beach for over an hour. The process of selecting who gets a jeep or not was not transparent, and when asked on criteria factored into the decision-making process, response from the team was unintelligently vague.
Advice to forestall a reoccurrence of the unpleasant experience we had:
Management must specify in detail on all platforms, including through your vendors, if tourists are paying for a jeep regardless of the number of people that will be occupying the jeep, or if they are paying per seat. Additionally, paying per jeep will guarantee maximum satisfaction and customer experience, because the idea of merging a group of strangers to ride in a jeep is not appealing.
In the event some tourists are okay with being merged to ride in a jeep with others, there must be clear guidelines on who the dedicated driver will be to avoid potential arguments or dissatisfaction.
Communication is key in every endeavor, and every potential hiccups must be covered in the terms of agreement and/or contract.
That said, I will recommend the tour for anyone or family visiting St. Kitts. The ride is excitingly fascinating and the view from the final stop is breathtaking.
If possible, request Maleek to be your personal tour guide. He is an excellent young man.

Thank you for your review and suggestions. We do make it clear that each jeep takes 4 persons. We also say "enjoy the jeep with family friends or OTHER BOOKED GUESTS" the issue we find is people don't read much any more. In your particular case, you never even noticed the tour went to the beach and was not prepared for that although the word beach in right in the tour name. We try our best to be clear.
None the less, we are happy you still manage to enjoy your experience with us and our guides

Absolutely brilliant tour for a great price. Our tour guy was stood exactly where they said he would be and after everyone arrived off the Cruise ship they put us on a small air-conditioned coach, they drove us through the town pointing out points of interest on the 15 minute journey. We then arrived to the 9 Automatic Jeeps, my wife and I were given our own with no one else with us (that we would have to share and swap driving with) which really impressed me. Our Jeep had oversized wheels and tyres and we actually did some really decent actual off-roading (not just a dusty track) for quite a long time, we stopped to take photos, stopped again to look for monkeys in the forest and then later stopped to pick and eat Mangos from a tree.
We then did a drive on roads to a beach spot (there are no beaches near the Ship port) We had an hour there and the choice was given to either stop there and make our own way back to the ship, 30% of the guests stayed. We went back to the ship.
I couldn’t believe how cheap this tour was, our jeep was doing 13.8 MPG and I guess we did around 25 miles, plus those oversized tyres are really expensive.

Loved the tour! I definitely recommend it for anyone visiting the island. The guide, Eric, was incredibly knowledgeable about the rich history of the island and its contributions to the society. Ended the tour on the Caribbean side where the water was gorgeous and the sand offered incredibly large seashells to admonish.

The actual drive was as presented in their add.
There were a number of problems and miscommunications, some where SKN Jeepers had responsibility, and others that were not in their control.
We met at the yellow building as described. After the time we were expected to leave, we were informed that a group of 20 was unable to leave the ship because of a short heavy rain. After waiting over 45 minutes for the group of 20 we were finally put on buses.
There were enough people in the group without the 20 people where we felt we could have started our tour on time and when the group of 20 finally showed up, they could have been handled as a separate group.
Once on the bus, we were driven to a bar\restaurant that also had a beach. At the beach we were told we needed to pay $10 per hour per couple to use beach chairs or we could stand under a covered part of the bar for free. $10 is not a big deal but it would be nice to have known this when we booked as it was a surprise.
After the beach, we were taken across the street where there was a number of Jeeps. A couple got into a heated argument about not getting what they said was in their contract. The SKN Jeepers employee kept saying their was a Jeep that was being fixed at the shop for them. The customer started swearing, dropping the F bomb at the SKN employee. At that point, an adult in the group of 20 told the swearing customer that there were kids around and to stop swearing. The swearing customer kept swearing and the two men came close to a fight before another adult in the group of 20 moved his friend back.
After a while we finally were out into the Jeeps.
We wasted so much time between waiting for the group of 20 and the incident about not getting what was in their contract that we had very little time to shop before having to get back on the ship.
All of this hassle made the trip a disappointment

Thank you for your review. The rain was not short but fell for over 15 minutes. The ship was docked on the dock furthest away from the yellow building making for the walk to the building long. We were being nice to our customer to wait for them and would have done the same for you. our description clearly states beach chairs and umbrellas are not included in your price. Hence, if you desire to have one you will need to pay for it.
The day was a tough one for our guides, they did their best to handle what was a rude couple making a scene about what was not promised. We tried our best to deal with the compounding of customer issues that caused delays for others. Its no different to the airlines or even cruise lines where we can't just leave, we have to make sure we have all our customer to leave and sometimes customer issues cause delays. This does not generally happened

Communication and meetup at cruise port went well with this company. Our tour leader Carl was very nice and informative but the overall tour trail was not what we expected. It has very washed out ruts and very little sights until you reach the top of the hill with basically no roads going near or along the beaches. The restaurant stop usually included was closed so Carl took us to a beach club that was very nice. We had done a trip like this in Aruba once and the views and stops along the shoreline were non-stop so I guess this trip did not meet my expectations.

Hi There.
We are sorry the tour did not meet your personal expectations of a tour that differs from what we offer. We are not Aruba and what st. Kitts has to show case is our mountain ranges. Aruba does not have mountains like we do, they have beaches so they showcase that. As you indicated our guide was nice and he took you on what was advertised. We even went above and beyond for this group. This group was the only group booked on tour (i.e. private tour) My guide called me and said the guests are having a really good time at the beach should he extend their time. We were not busy that day so I said sure once thats what they want. We extended the tour time no extra charge. It is unfortunate that with all we did you would review us so poorly solely based not on what we delivered but on a personal expectation that was wrong.

This was a great way to see hidden parts of St. Kitts and perfect for families. During the tour Eric pointed out different points of interests, and there where several places where we stopped to take in the views. During our morning we were in and out of rain showers which made the off-roading more exciting but eliminated the beach portion of the trip. Instead we got to climb a different mountain. Highly recommended.

Favorite experience of this tour was seeing the amazing views St.Kitts had to offer along the way. Eric was an amazing tour guide as he was always ready to answer question and being very knowledgeable about the history of the island.
Also the wild life resembles those in movies that you can only dream of seeing one day

This was an absolutly amazing experience. I moved to St. Kitts from Canada about 9 months ago and had my first friend visit. We took this tour and was pleasantly surprised. First, how cool is it to drive your one 4x4 jeep. Eric, our tour guide was amazing and provided a lot of detail about the history and things to know about St. Kitts - this was all done on microphone directly to your jeep. I saw parts of St. Kitts I have never seen before and the views were stunning. Diving through bumpy roads, 6ft tall grass, rainforest, among other sites made for some great picture taking and memories. I highly recommend.

Eric was a great guide. He was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the tour. The jeep experience was amazing. The sites were the best. He made sure to continuously check on everyone on the tour to make sure that we were comfortable as well as made sure we followed his instructions to avoid any problems. He provided us with bottles of water to make sure we stayed hydrated. Eric is truly the best at what he does.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!! We were met by our guide quickly and easily at the port after we got off of our cruise ship. We waited a little bit for the others that had also booked this tour. Then we boarded a bus for a short drive to get us to the Jeeps.
We then were safety briefed and handed the keys. The tour starts on paved roads to get out to the first trail. The first is a dirt trail that leads up to a high vantage point. We were able to get out and hear our guide tell us some of the history of the island. We took photos as we looked down at our cruise ship in port.
We then drove to another trail that was through tall trees in the jungle. We especially loved this part. The weather was perfect, we played some jams and really enjoyed a few of the mud puddles.
The day ended by spending some time at Frigate Bay. There is a restaurant/bar with food/drinks for purchase. Then we drove our Jeeps back to their storage/parking area on paved roads and the bus took us back to port.
We had a really wonderful experience. We always felt safe. There are radios in each jeep for communication, although it is hard to understand them at times.

Thank you for your very detailed review. We enjoyed taking you and your family on an experience through our St. Kitts Mountains and beach. As it relates to our radios, we tried to get the best radio system on the market for the Jeep Wrangler (Cobra). What we have come to realize is with the sound of the jeep it makes it a little difficult to hear. We are going to be working to see how we can get the sound through the speakers in the vehicle to improve on this.
