You will discover and love the wine culture of Manilva, whose vineyards are in danger of disappearing due to urban harassment. At CIVIMA you will discover Manilveña viticulture, oenology and winemaking traditions. In the same CIVIMA building is the small winery, where we make our award-winning NILVA wines. We will end our visit in the Viña del Peñoncillo, a very special place with unbeatable views of the Mediterranean Sea, Africa and the Costa del Sol. There, enjoying the sea breeze, we will taste our NILVA wines. And if you want to be part of our community and collaborate with the Salvemos las Viñas de Manilva Project, you can sponsor one of our vines. Once the visit is over, in a few minutes, you can take a refreshing bath in the waters of the Mediterranean or enjoy the local gastronomy of seafood and fish, such as sardine skewers, in one of the restaurants and beach bars located on the beach

An unforgettable wine tour not to be missed
What a treat! This wonderful insight into local specialist wine production was an absolute joy to experience. The passion, dedication and knowledge of our guide, Magi, was astounding. The four of us had a truly memorable three hours hearing and learning the story of Nilva EnoTurismo and the part it plays in the Manilva district. The wine tasting was most pleasing and the wines themselves most enjoyable. The vineyards and coastal views make for an unforgettable visit. A 'not to be missed' guided tour of the winery, museum and tasting awaits you!

      Nilva Winery - Wonderful Experience
We had a group of three couples visit the NILVA winery. Our group had a terrific time. Our guide was Maggie and she did an outstanding job overviewing the NILVA operation at their Manilva town location. We then drove 2 KM to their vineyard. The vineyard was exceptional - sitting at a picnic table overlooking the Mediterranean. the vines and mountains. We sampled four wines; they wines were paired with a simple yet delicious charcuterie board of cheese, nuts, ham and chips. A dessert wine was served with chocolate. Maggie shared great insight in the winery, the regional efforts to build the winery offerings and some cooking tips as well. A+ plus experience.

      What a great find
We did the wine tour & tasting and it was fabulous. Maggie was our guide & made the experince so interesting. She was passionate about the work Nilva Enotourism is doing to ensure the Moscatel de Alejandría vineyards in Manvila don't disappear. It was so interesting & informative & the wines were great.Definitely one of the highlights of our stay in this area.

      Recommendation: avoid
We previously attended the tour pre-covid. It was fantastic and we recommended it to friends in the area. However, we returned with a larger group several months ago and were left completely disappointed. The worst thing is that you are not made aware that you must not provide the transport to the vineyard (which forms a key part of the wine tour!). While it was an ok experience, it is no longer an experience we would recommend to other. The guide was knowledgable but wasn’t very engaging or friendly. This was the complete opposite of what we have experienced before it was taken on by Rootz Wine Tours.

      Fantastic Piece of Manilva History
Wow what a find, what a place and what passionate people, this tour and tasting must not be missed. Fran was our guide and as a local man talking about his place of work, he couldn’t be better at his job or more passionate about the produce. You’ll learn a lot about the history and heritage of Manilva and have a great time enjoying great wine in fantastic surroundings and all for €20 a head! Don’t wait just book a tour and enjoy yourselves, we WILL be back

Even in COVID times a great visit.
Really excellent visit with Argimiro, he explained really a lot about the local viticulture and traditional versus commercial wine production. He also explained two ways that sparkling wines are produced - looking forward to sampling the zero additive Nilva sparkling wine next year! Having visited many vineyards in many countries this was one of the most relaxed an insightful visits. The tasting location on the hill with the views was really excellent and the tapas great with the wine ! For the time and the tasting the price is excellent. All social distancing and cleaning protocols were also followed - we were five visitors total.

      Fabulous Experience
We were part of a small group of 10 English speakers for a tour of the facility and museum followed by a tasting of wines with cheese and ham down the hill in the vineyard. Started at 7pm and finished just before 10:30pm. Very interesting to hear about this fascinating Eco project in what I believe is the Southernmost vineyard in mainland Europe. Produce less than 6,000 bottles a year. The Nilva dry whites are both lovely wines. Well worth a visit and at 20€ a head great value.

Amazing experience and insight into Manilva wine!
We had a great time with Argi, learning a lot about local wine production and tasting the wine he is so passionate about. Argi's work with the local community is inspirational. The wine tour and tasting is good value for money and a great way to support Argi's important project, as well as an opportunity to taste incredible local wine! We definitely recommend this tour and would love to visit Argi again in the future.

      Excellent local winery
Lovely owner with lots of local knowledge and good little museum in the making of his wine. Lots of interesting information and a stunning location for the wine tasting after. A real lucky find!

      The best day (completely unexpected!)
Myself and 5 other friends (group of 25 year old friends) booked this tour on a whim but we are so glad we did. €20 included a very educational but fun tour of the winery about the production and growing process, a trip to the vineyard and tasting 3 wines -but more than only small samples I've had at other tastings. Cheese and meat accompanied the wine as well as good company and a scenic coastal vineyard setting. Argy (I will definitely have got his name wrong!) was so passionate and knowledgable about the area and wine making process that there is no way you will not be convinced to purchase some wine - but don't worry it's only €12 and is exceptional! We started at 12 and only ended at 4 so great value for money, cannot recommend this vineyard trip enough, we will definitely be back!

      Wine history, tour and tasting
The whole experience has been fantastic. The start was a tour around the wine museum, giving the history of wine production in Manilva, and the project to revive wine making in the area. Then we walked up to the vineyard where we got to taste the wine. Dry, semi sweet and sweet with some nibbles. A great tour, a fantastic guide and great wine. Highly recommend.

      Fantastic visit with superb wine
We visited the winery last week and had a fantastic visit. Argimiro (the owner) was so interesting and showed us round the fascinating museum, factory and vineyards. It's an interesting project that deserves success thanks to Argimiro & has families' passion for this. The vineyard is under threat from development in this part of Spain and he is committed to preserving it. Obviously the best part of the day was tasting the superb white and sweet wines - it was absolutely delicious! The views from the vineyard over the Med are awesome and they even have BBQs there in the summer. Please visit, support this great cause and have a brilliant few hours learning and tasting the fantastic wine. Argimiro we wish you all the best for the future - hope its a brilliant success! Buenas Suerte!

      Wine with a story
The tour in the museum and the winery was about the story behind the Nilva wine, that you need to hear. It makes you appreciate this unique and extraordinary moscato even more. It was raining so we didn't get to end the tour at the wine yard, but I can imagine that sipping couple of glasses while watching the wiev wound have been just perfect. I can highly recommend visiting this place, nice athmosphere, interesting tour, good host and a high-class moscato!

A wonderful afternoon, a must for residents and visitorsalike
A fascinating insight into the struggles of one man (and his family) to recover the traditional vines of Manilva. We went as a pre booked group and and were given a tour of the museum where we learned some amazing info and then to the vineyard for food and wine tasting. The white wine, a particular favourtie of mine, is excellent and I bought some to take home. It will become a regular wine in our house. Definitely well worth a visit.

Stubbled across this experienced when looking around what Manilva has to offer. Our tour guide Maggie was lovely, she was so enthusiastic about how the company makes the wine and it showed in the way she talked about the project. Nilva wine is an independent winery and the wine they make is beyond comparable, it is made with such passion. Me and my partner like to drink wine but aren't professional in our approach, but you could really taste the differences in the wine. The tour was very informative and we found out how the wine was made. Maggie talked about the wine festival they have in Manilva in September, which I am definitely intrigued about. We then took a 20 minute walk to the vineyard to have some wine and tapas. This was such a beautiful and intimate experience as it was just me, my partner and Maggie which made the time even more special. Thank you so much to Maggie for making the day fun, it was a beautiful day and was our favourite day of our holiday. Would definitely recommend doing this.

Our tour of Manilva wines was absolutely wonderful!! Maggie was so passionate, engaging and informative and made our experience fantastic. We will be coming back for the Fiesta de la Vendimia in September and again and again thereafter.
Maggie made us feel so welcome and made our tour utterly perfect. The setting of the vineyard is so incredibly peaceful and idyllic with the most picturesque views that must be preserved. We were all so impressed by the professionalism and organisation of the company and the quality of the wine speaks for itself. None of us can wait for the red and we will most definitely put an order in as soon as it is ready!!

Marie was the loveliest women!! So knowledgeable and a made it a great experience. The guided tour starts in the wine museum and then to the winery. She explains the process of wine making from grape to shelf. You can even have a go corking the bottle! Then we moved to the second site where unfortunately you need a car and we didn’t have one. We had to walk 15-20min. The guided wine tasting was great with some nibbles that complimented perfectly. Overall, a lovely way to spend your evening and a great small business.

What a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours! Maggie’s knowledge, passion and charm shone through. It was fascinating to learn about the history of wine in Manilva, before tasting it. Not only is the wine beautifully crafted but Manilva has a lovely story. This experience was a hidden gem! We are so happy we found the advert, so we too could taste the magic. We left smiling and feeling like we had sampled traditional Spain. Thank you Maggie!
