The JALAPAO region in TOCANTINS State, BRAZIL: is a wonderful place to be, the “fervedouros”, natural waterfalls, clean rivers and lakes, all unforgettable for ECOtourists and nature lovers. My recommendation: good for HEALTHY folks under 30 yrs in age, not recommended for 50+ and seniors at all. TOUR GUIDE: our tour guide (and driver) “BENA” was very professional and has shown a lot of local knowledge and expertise. “BENA” did a GREAT job with full dedication to our party. I cannot imagine anyone better than BENA for the job. The JALAPAO TITANS SALES INPUT was superficial and misleading. Sales description of the tour didn’t match with what was effectively done. Not a single hotel (Pousada) listed in the agreement were used during the tour! NO PRELIMINARY INPUT WAS GIVEN ABOUT THE MISERABLE STATUS OF THE ROADS IN JALAPAO, if you can name this a “road” at all. My backbone was crashed down after the second day on the road and I have just survived the remaining days laid down in the car to reduce impacts and loaded with painkillers. INSURANCE included in the agreement: USELESS. NO HELP when I did need it with my backpain.
