A greate place to meet olive oil culture
We liked there three things: sincere communication, the location, and the new things we learned and experienced. Well spent time.

      Great tour
The tour was great, so was the guide and the product. We enjoyed the overall tour, starting in the garden and ending where they bottle the product. Thanks so much!

Exceptional Visit to Olive Oil Production Facility
Lucia led a simply suburb tour of this Olive Oil production company. She was extremely informative and answered all questions we had. The tour is quite straightforward and the videos and live demonstration of original production menthols recreated the work done decades ago. The tasting was organized in a very easy method and it even included tasting a jelly made from Olive Oil. We learned the differences between grades of Olive Oil as well as how every element of an olive is utilized beyond just creating the Olive Oil. We can’t thank Lucia enough! We have all participated in wine and olive oil demonstrations before but she was by far the most knowledgeable and generous with her expertise.

      Olive Museum
We were intrigued by the advert by the roundabout for a guided tour of the Olive museum (with oil tasting) near to where we were staying, surrounded as we were by olive, orange and lemon groves. The website was interesting and so we thought for 15€ it would be a different holiday experience. The guide was very interesting and friendly, she spoke excellent English and she engaged with us with our questions during our tour. There was 9 other people of different nationalities and we were all engrossed in the explanation of the different types of olive trees and the traditional methods of producing olive oil. This was expertly contrasted with todays method of producing top quality olive oil. Spoiler: don’t keep olive oil too long, it doesn’t like wine mature. This was effectively demonstrated during our olive oil tasting experience (!) We also enjoyed the tour of the adjoining modern processing factory because our guide spoke with authenticity about the local, small, producers bringing their crop to be processed. She brought to life their feelings of how their crop, whether in dry or temperate times, were thought of as their babies, to nurtured and cosseted, then delivered for processing. ¡bien hecho! I thoroughly recommend this experience

A great day away from the beaches.
Aceites Molisur is a friendly family business. The visit to the mill is very interesting and informative. We can only recommend it. We really appreciated the visit a little off the beaten track. And you can get to taste the beauty of a true and organic Extra Vergine Olive Oil. What a nice way to take home a taste of Andalusia.

Maria’s English was excellent and very personable. She gave us a really informative tour, learning so much about the extra virgin oil processes. Thoroughly recommend this tour (we did Mersin, tasting and factory tour).

Very nice visit. Good explanation and afterwards a visit in the factory. The guide was very kind and gave us perfect information. We were lucky to see the whole process due to the fact that it was olive harvesting time. Truly advisable.

Excellent learning and tasting experience! Highly recommended !
Discovered the various types of flavours and odours of various olive oils ! Also loved the way we were taught the manufacturing process and what to look for in olive oils when we get home. (Should have brought more of their oil home!!). The visit and guided tour was one of the best part of our 14 days on the Costa Del Sol ! Their business is very well run and truly a family enterprise.

I was there alone and got a private tour from Lucia. She took all the time to explain the different types of olive trees with their own taste of olives. The whole process from olive to olive oil is clear and well explained. She also gave clear explanations during the tasting and also asked questions about what you tasted. Delicious and then bought something in the nice shop. Recommended.

An interesting, detailed excursion into the world of olive oil. The excellent guide who truly knew the subject showed us absolutely everything that the premises of the factory and the museum have to offer, and she also took us through a tasting experience. For 20 EUR it was really good value - 1,5h of fun. 🙂 We took a bus from Málaga and then went 20 minutes by foot to the factory… and back to the city by a taxi, as it was too hot and to the hill 😅

This was an outstanding experience. We’ve been to a market that lets one taste olive oils. Likely have tasted dozens and have a good idea of what we like but never did a guided tasting. We know so much more and are better prepared to taste (and smell) good quality olive oil. Also we bought some and have been using it over the two weeks since we visited. Love it!

We also learned about the production on a large scale and small scale. The tour of the mill was also very informative. So much we didn’t know.

Our tour of the olive grove and oil factory surpassed our expectations. Ana, our guide, spoke perfect English and provided a detailed and interesting explanation of the oil production process from tree to bottle. She was eager to answer any questions that we had and to ensure that our needs were met.

Of course, the best part of all was tasting a selection of three olive oils that the factory had produced. Ana carefully explained the process of how to taste the oil correctly and there was plenty of bread provided to dip with!

The tour ended in the factory shop although there was no pressure at all to make any purchases. We took two jars of delicious olive oil jam (something we’d never tried before) away with us - one as a gift for family and one to keep for ourselves!

We’d highly recommend this experience to anyone with an interest in Mediterranean cuisine or who’s looking for something a little different beyond beaches and tapas on the Costa del Sol.

If you would like to know more about your choices for olive oil then this is an excellent way to find out. The tour starts in the front yard where we learned about the varietals of trees and how and when the olives are picked. This was followed up with a demonstration of olive oil production in their museum. We did a tasting of 3 different oils and evaluated their taste and aromas.. Then off to the modern processing facility. The tour was in the off-season so olives were not being processed. Our host was terrific sharing her knowledge of past and present processing and what to look for when selecting olive oil for your cooking

Through stories and demonstrations, Maria provided answers to all of my questions about olive oil production and quality. Understanding modern production helps me know how to select the right olive oil and not over pay for the wrong oil. The pace was perfect. I especially appreciated seeing the vintage equipment along the explanation of how it compared to the current equipment. Highly recommend this tour!

A lovely and informative way to spend a couple of hours.
Lucia, our guide was very knowledgeable of all things olive oil. She gave us a lot of tips about what makes a good quality olive oil and the best way to store it.

We saw how the oil was made in the past and were able to see the factory with the machinery used to make it now.
The factory was not operational as this is out of season for oil production but a few videos helped giving us the gist of it.

The tasting of different types of extra virgin olive oil was a particular favourite for my 11 year old daughter.

A visit like this makes you really appreciate why good quality extra virgin olive oil is so expensive.

    Thank you

We went on the English speaking tour which lasted one and a half hours. Very interesting and informative. The guide was very enthusiastic and engaged with everyone on the tour. We think the best time to go would be when they are processing the olives in the factory which would be between late September and November.
We would recommend it for people that now nothing about olives or for people that know a little bit.

We were given a great tour by a knowledgeable and pleasant guide, as well as a tasting of different oils with good explanations. It's fun to see how the oil was produced before and now. Here, everyone can hand in olives and after a few hours all you have to do is take the finished oil home. The visit ended in the store. There was a lot of nice things here, but no "buying pressure", this was worth a visit.

A very informative tour on the complete process of making olive oil. The quality of olive oils is explained including the type of olives used, the picking method, the pressing temperatures... The speed of execution of all the maneuvers is also important, preventing the oxidation of the product, for better overall quality.
