- tjandra10 contributionsBest snorkeling in a long timeI am in my mid 50s, a solo woman traveling, and just recovered from a scoliosis surgery in Feb. Had not snorkeled for 5 years. So, I ordered a private snorkeling trip. As expensive as if you book an excursion on a cruise in the Caribbean. They were professional. Helped me with info to get a ferry from Gili Trawangan to Gili Air ( their base office). Picked me up at the harbour, took me to western toilet facility as I could not use the local facility. The boat captain and guide were very polite. They ensured my safety at all times. Took me to really good spots to see the coral, turtles, underwater statues, and dropped me off at Gili Trawangan. Tip: wear sunscreen, bring a towel, and tips for the guide and captain. Pls do not disturb the turtles and the corrals. I saw too many tourists with go pro cameras chasing a turtle and tourists standing on the corrals.Written December 31, 2019
