When we arrived at the airport, there was no sign for Merenba tours nor my name on a placard. I had to walk the entirety of ground transportation area 5 times possibly more. I finally asked a different tour company and and they called Tropical Sky. Our car to our hotel was good. However our ride back to the airport was a shuttle with cracked windshield and lots of molds on the roof. I messaged Pablo which was our Tropical Sky contact and said we booked a private transfer so since it was just my husband and I, that means it’s a private transfer. That would have been ok for us however I am allergic to molds so definitely a 3 star for me. It was also difficult to get a confirmation pick up time from Pablo and he never sent the driver’s name and the picture of our ride as promised.

It took over 6 hours of traveling to get to the island for only 2 hours on the island. The island was beautiful and so was the water. Just know what you’re getting into before you go. You don’t get breakfast either, you do get lunch once you get to the island.

Our experience was most unfortunate; too bad since the locals were very welcoming and friendly. Most places we went were closed and falling apart. A lot of the place looks abandoned. We were robbed by knifepoint in the middle of the day in the busy tourist area. My husband and I both used to work in law enforcement and have travelled the while world so we are not stupid or careless; this happened despite being very alert. Next day we saw an 8 yr old kid trying to get into the driver door of a nice car at a traffic light. There is a sense of desperation here and it felt very unsafe. Also it rained and the whole streets flooded immediately. There is no beach, the sand and water are full Of trash.

It was very obvious early on that booking a B&B in Chippenham online was not going to be very straight forward. So we just did not bother trying too hard as it was proving to be a very difficult wind-up. You try and do it?

We had a fantastic time. You make your adventure. I can read on the comments people being close minded about the dancing, the drinking and the fun on the boat. It’s a different culture. If you are not from here it might be shocking but non the less it was fun. As a fellow Hispanic, we had a blast. We had our 1 year old baby and they were extremely accommodating. Great customer service from the time we were picked up. The transportation does take a bit of time but the island and the beach pool are both gorgeous! Highly recommend it

Let me start by saying the experience was amazing. The dolphins were well cared for and the grounds were beautiful. We knew going in that personal photos would not be allowed. We also knew that they would be expensive to purchase. BUT HONESTLY it was crazy and SHADY. For 3'ofnusnthey wanted $210 for 30 photos and a video. I asked for the price without video and was told no deal. As I walked away he gave me a "special" price of $150 with no video. We said ok. Then they wanted to charge us $15/photo for a parrot pic and 3 pics with a sea lion. After a bit of negotiation we got that whole package for $195. However, the charges just came across my bank and they charged us $210. I tried calling and got no one!! Complete ripmoff. Try dolphin discovery. Same experience but I have heard more reputable!!

Had an awesome time at adventure buggies, we did the night ride, with swimming in the cave, and supper. We had a blast, definitely recommend this excursion if you are in the punta cana area.

This place is majestic... unfortunately not all tourists are going to the Island for its beauty but to get completely wasted on their way there. Excursions don't care much about their paradise but to get you there and make you pay a ridiculous amount of money for pictures on the famous palm tree showcased here with a line-up long enough for you not no enjoy the beach during the short-term visit.

Amado and Felis were excellent for our tour of the DR. We’ll done. Very organized too. Learning and tasting what the DR has to offer, was fulfilling.

We paid to swim with the dolphins, we asked several times the prices of the photos and videos so we wouldn't be surprised, They said dons’t know about it, after the show we were charged 260.00 dollars by the forums and they said that the video was also included and they lied, we had to pay others $60.00 for the video. We were not able to download the video and we could only view it, very sad because we feel cheated, I want to download the video, I do not recommend buying the video, the attendants are not polite, the coach has no patience with tourists who do not speak Spanish or English and the boys from photos charge extra knowing that you won't stop buying the photos because they are souvenirs, I thought it was extortion, let's complain to the Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism

Worst airport transfer ever! We had booked arrival and departure transfer through the accommodation (rental condo) who recommended their service. Upon arrival we asked for a stop at the National Supermarket not far from the airport as it has been suggested by the owner of the condo. They said the supermarket is closed which was a lie - we passed there and the parking was full of cars and according to their website, it was still open for more than two hours longer. Then we entered the bus - which was smelling and looked worn and dirty and found out there are no safety belts. We asked about that and the driver found this very funny! While driving he texted and chattet on two phones simultaneously and if this was not enough, consulted a long list. He speeded just to then stop somewhere to wait for someone to chat with, then again speeded and overtook cars with no view at all. We arrived shocked after this horror drive. Once near our condo he told us there is a supermarket we could go shopping now and which is much better than the one we wanted - we declined and went to this supermarket the day after and found it has a very limited choice. He probably gets paid if he brings in customers. It goes without saying that we cancelled our return transfer and booked with e-transfers instead who had a clean and functioning car and an educated and friendly driver and even cost less (US 30.00 instead of US 35.00 with Merenba!)

We did the middle of the road package with the dolphins. It was amazing. Our guide Ariel was so knowledgeable, patient, and funny! He made sure everyone had a memorable experience. Only downfall was that there are no pictures/video allowed. I get that it's another way to make money. But the pictures were spendy as well. I'm glad we had the experience.

Forget the souvenirs more mud! We stop at every tourist trap there was . And the leader didn't want to get the buggies dirty. On the road most of the time.

The island is breath taking! Blue clear water and white sand. It is really amazing. Lunch included in the tours is ok (pasta, salad, chicken or pork, fruits) We booked the trip with nexus; our guide was Shaul - he is made the trip even better! It’s a must go for sure

Excellent service. Pick up at the Airport and Hotel was great, I didn't have any problem at all with them. Claudia was very helpful at all times. Thank you for such excellent service.
