Mon Repos Palace is situated on top of Analipsis hill in the area of Kanoni. The palace is surrounded by magnificent park. It was built in 1826 by the British Commissioner Frederic Adams. It is a small but very beautiful palace with colonial architectural elements. This is also the house where Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh, the husband of Queen Elisabeth II, was born in 1921.

East of the city stands the Old Fortress. Don't miss Spianada;
the central square of the island. It is the largest square in the Balkans and one of the largest in Europe. The Spianada leads you to the famous Liston; designed by the French Mathieu de Lesseps and inspired by the world famous “Rue de Rivoli” street in Paris. The “Liston” hosts many cafes and restaurants and it’s the main meeting spot for locals.
