Great food and a very nice host.
Very nice food. Thought it would be more farm to table style family style. Ended up being just my wife, myself and the host. Also felt a bit rushed.

          Traditional Greek cuisine
Put simply, this was a wonderful experience, worth the price of admission. We were looking for an activity that would get us out of the heat and were pleasantly surprised. The class, about 5 hours, involved an informal but well-organized introduction to the basics of cooking and greek cusine. We were picked up at our hotel and transported to a modest farmhouse setting with a courtyard patio and kitchen. The dishes we helped prepare were spanikopita, stuffed tomatoes, and tzatziki. Other dishes, an appetizer, orzo with meat dish, and dessert, were prepared by the staff. Everything was fresh and tasty, and there was plenty of local wine provided throughout, possibly too much. Overall, it had the feel of cooking with family/friends. Perfect for singles, couples, and small groups. We booked directly through the Mykonian Spiti website. I did have to email the morning of to find out the pickup time but otherwise everything went smoothly.

Not recommended if you are coming from a cruise ship.
I am sure this is probably a wonderful experience, but we were unable to attend when our cruise ship couldn’t dock and we lost all of our money. I don’t recommend booking if you are looking for a cruise ship excursion. It is apparently not uncommon for ships to have to cancel docking in Mykonos due to winds. My teen daughter really wanted to do a Greek cooking class so I booked it. I saw that all sales were final, but I didn’t know there was a good chance that we wouldn’t be able to go because of the ship’s change of plans. Beware when booking that you may not be able to go and they will not refund any of your money.

          Such a great experience!
What a wonderful experience! This was an excursion we booked through our cruise. It was so much fun. I think there were around 20 of us. We learned (hands on so volunteer to help!) to make spinach pie & stuffed tomatoes/peppers & tzatkiki. After you learn to make the dishes you'll get to enjoy lunch family style of these dishes as well as some others. Everything was so fresh tasting. Teta was an amazing host! She was engaging, informative & humorous! Would totally recommend you check out the Mykonian Spiti for any type of cooking experience!

          Excellent cooking
Excellent experience. My whole family participated in this cooking class and we got a full lesson making stuffed tomatoes, spinach pie, and tzatziki. My Wife and I had a very pleasant experience with an excellent meal to follow really good way to get information on the local customs and a lesson on Greek cooking.

          Traditional cooking class on Mykonos
Cooking class presented in a family home (or farm) on Mykonos for our group of 8. Under the entertaining instruction of Martina (a niece of the home-owner - Tate, I think), we learned about ingredients used in popular Greek dishes and how they differ from products commonly found in the US. She shared Greek preparation and cooking techniques. Under her instruction we created (and later enjoyed eating) stuffed tomatoes and peppers, spinach pie, tzatziki, along with Greek salad, a dish of beef and orzo, wines and raki. It was all delicious and we enjoyed the entire experience. The setting is lovely. We were told that the class and experience can be adapted to accommodate larger groups, as well. (check out Greeking.me or Greeka websites for reservations)

          Wonderful experience, delicious, fun, educational
Such a fabulous experience, a must do for your stay in Mykonos! We are welcomed into this stunning home, so comfortable and beautifully and traditionally appointed! We learned to make several dishes and then got to eat them all! Much history is imparted, stories are told, many laughs - a warm and personal experience, delicious - all the elements of a wonderful experience! Highly recommend

The host gave a nice presentation of the local customs. The food was delicious. Maybe one more dish could have been added.

Food is the heart of the culture
We were a group of 6. Because it was the end of the season, it was just the 6 of us in this class which was perfect. It was so much fun-well taught, entertaining, and the food was amazing.

This was a most amazing and relaxing wine tasting. We normally gravitate towards red wines. However they had an excellent white wine (Maiotpos) We actually bought a bottle. Our tour guide was a great help with translating and all interactions, We were on a cruise and we have only done 2 shore excursions that were not offered onboard. This being one of them. We actually were the only 2 at this tasting. Which made it feel like a private tour. And the cheese board was also great, with all the vegetables being fresh off the farm. Even if there had been more people it still would have been great. I recommend this 100%. ( we did not do the one with a meal included)

This wine tour was so fun! Our guide opened 4 different kinds of wine for us and filled our glasses more than once with each wine. Very delicious. A snack was provided but it was quite a bit of food for the two of us, so that was good!! A few of the farm animals (dog and cat) stopped by to say hi. Definitely recommend!

Stathis was nice Greek man who goes through how to taste different ingredients in the wines & offers a lot of knowledge about wines. We were one on one with him. The farm is a cute & quaint place to sit, relax to drink wine & snack a little. We enjoyed it & brought back a bottle to remember our day.

We hope that management will reach out to us for a partial refund. The sommelier and chef were absolutely lovely, knowledgeable, and experienced. This review has nothing to do with them.

Overall, we are disappointed with the value we received compared to the very very high price. Really disappointed.

The transportation was AWFUL. Dirty, sandy, bumpy, and no AC. We had to suck up the smog on both drives and get our hair and clothing messed up in the wind. On the ride back we were combined with a large group and it took an HOUR to return to our hotel with all the stops. For the price we paid I would expect nicer and PRIVATE transportation. I was coughing uncontrollably for a while from the smog coming through the open windows.

For the experience itself: The wines were fine. Nothing exceptional - and for $350 we expected something pretty good. The sommelier was kind enough to share some of his personal collection and those two wines were amazing. But without that, we would have been really frustrated.

The food was delicate, flavorful, and simple - very nice Greek food. We loved each bite. However, we specifically told the tour company we do not eat meat in advance and they assured us they could accommodate. Yet, the chef and sommelier were not told and were surprised. So we were greeted by a charcuterie plate (pic attached) and then had to work through their surprise and miscommunication. Just ridiculous again, for the price paid.

We recognize the price tags in Mykonos. It is pricey, yes. Yet, we could have procured a taxi, had a lovely dinner and plenty of wines, for much much less. We hope the company will address these issues in the appropriate fashion. If not, I would advice you all to skip this tour and eat out at Scorpio’s instead.

        This wine tour was excellent.
It was a bithday present from my parents during our holidays.
We werd picked up on time and after a short drive (ca.15min), we reached the farm.
Here welcomed us Stathis very friendly and we were very exited, how this tour will be.
We learned a lot about wine, the production and tasted four different wines. The wine had a high quality. He also explanied us the way, how wines will be characterized.
Stathis also prepared some cheese, bread and tomatoes for us.
It was a pleasure to met you Stathis.:)
Thanks a lot for this great afternoon.

I can recommend this tour absolutely.
We are no wine specialists, but now we will drink and enjoy our wines in a completely different way than before.
        :)

At the end we bought three wines and are looking forward to enjoy them at home.

We didn’t really know what to expect when we booked this as we had never done anything like this before. The bus picked us up at our hotel as promised and we were taken to the farm where we were greeted by a welcoming smile from Stathis. We were also lucky enough to as meet his wonderful wife Athena as well.
We were expecting to be apart of a group but we were on our own which I think made the day better for us. We learnt so much and the wine was great as well. I would highly recommend this wine tasting experience even if you are a wine pro or just like drinking it like us.

Thank you for a great day.

My husband and I had a great time- the hotel pickup and drop off made it super easy to get to. Stathis was a fantastic host and we learned so much about tasting and evaluating wines, and had a great time doing so. The lunch we had was absolutely incredible as well. Not sure if it's always the case, but it was just my husband and I for the tasting (thought it might be a group, but was pleasantly surprised when it wasn't!) We'd highly recommend it!

Stathis choice of Greek wines provide us with an insight into some great wines, lunch that followed was a banquet of traditional Greek food professionally prepared by Teta matched to the wines. The informative sharing of stories and local knowledge completed a wonderful lunch.
