Lovely market at the Rubicon Marina on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Plenty of nice stalls selling clothes, jewellery etc.

Visited Playa Blanca from Feb. 4-11 '23 and took in the market while we were there... A lot of artisan stalls which were lovely to see but no food stalls which we are used to seeing on Spanish mainland. Given that almost all their food is imported on to the island I guess that's no surprise but I did miss the colour that food brings to any market day. Besides that, there were a good range of coffee / tapas outlets so you could easily amuse yourself people watching (as many were) and being set right on the marina it was a beautiful setting. Strung our over many little side streets, there is a lot of walking so wear comfortable shoes / runners but highly recommended overall.

My self and my lady Susan. Had such a rexaling on the island. Visited. A location we’re I had painted three villas in 2007. Sadly there villas have been over taken by. Squatters. One of the villas. Was badly vandalised. Heartbreaking to see. Spanish law is much different to uk. Law. They couldn’t. Or wouldn’t remove the squatters. Apart from this the rest of trip was really nice. We stayed on a boat in the harbour. A good time was had. And we will be returning again.

Just been on this “excursion “ from Costa Teguise to Playa Blanca Rubicon Market. €21pp for 3.25 hours travel with numerous pick ups/drop offs and 2.5 hours at Rubicon. No chance to actually visit Playa Blanca. This trip used to give a choice of getting back on coach at Rubicon or at Playa Blanca old town, so you could enjoy the walk along the promenade and had time for a meal. As we left Rubicon at 1pm it was early lunch or no lunch! This is NOT an excursion, it is a shuttle bus to a market, and an expensive one at that. Definitely do not recommend. Very disappointing.

Thoroughly enjoyable half day trip to Marina Rubicon. Antonio the tour guide made the journey there entertaining and informative during some pick ups from hotels along the way as to be expected, then onto Playa Blanca. Three hours allowed before pick up which was just the right amount to get round the market and to some of the nice designer shops lining the mariner front. Then enough time to grab lunch (not included) at one of the lovely restaurants overlooking the front with beautiful views of the boats and blue waters. Lots of craft and lovely jewellery stalls to browse, ideal for picking up some nice gifts, suitable for every pocket. Pick up from a central Puerto del Carmen point then drop of at a good selection of hotels. Right to the door of where we were staying Aqua Suites. Would recommend this trip provided by First Minute Tours.

Loved the different stalls selling a lot of local stuff, nice relaxed atmosphere along the marina front. Only small but very interesting, local wine tasting stall which for us was brilliant as we’d seen the bottles in a local Bodega and we wanted to try them.
Wife liked the stall selling white dresses and tops which were good quality and reasonably priced. Well worth the effort if your looking for something to do in the area.

We booked excursions to a few different places around the island, this time we went to playa blanca €15 each. A bit of sightseeing, artisan market, bars restaurants, shops and a commercial centre. Enjoyable day out, at the port again lots of restaurants and bars shops. Watch out for the ferry that comes in it does a 360 degree turn, that makes large waves on the small town beach. We went on a few different excursions with this company, mostly good.

A bit theme-parkish and loads of tourists even in December, still lots to see and buy. Volcanic based jewellery was nice and bought some pieces so overall happy!
