- P121SFlisap0 contributionsAmazing Kigoma and Chimp experiences!!!Please note that this also includes Kigoma airport pick up and drop off as well as Kigoma tour. This was such a relaxing experience as the tour group took care of and anticipated my every need and possible want. Very comfortable, welcoming, respectful, accommodating (even when a schedule change came up last minute!). As a single female, I never doubted my safety and felt completely at ease. In addition, they do everything possible to make sure that everyone has a fabulous viewing of the chimps. How amazing!!! Would love to spend more time with this group on other adventures upon return. No hesitation!Written October 16, 2024
- cristianaa7900 contributionsExperience in GombeThere were three of us on the Gombe National Park tour over a weekend and it was great. The service was very good, we were picked up from the airport, had lunch and then caught a boat to our accommodation. The next morning we went for a hike and saw the chimpanzees. It was fantastic. We opted for the luxury tents and had a good stay, the food in particular was very good. I recommend it.Written August 31, 2024
- adamvT233UH0 contributionsGreat experienceIt was an amazing experience. Our stay in Gombe was very basic. But the view and the many swims we took in Lake Tanganyika made it worth it. Definitly coming back. Abbas who managed everything for us from our arrival at the airport to the drop-off did a great job. We felt very welcome.Written August 24, 2024
- tararE386OA0 contributionsGo to Gombe! From the time Abbas met us at the airport in Kigoma to when he left us at the airport, we didn't have anything to worry about: everything was taken care of seamlessly, from transportation to and from Gombe, to our accommodation in the Kasakela luxury tents (with beds and ensuite bathrooms), to the chimpanzee treks with Abbas and park ranger Ahadi. We did a total of 4 chimpanzee treks and saw chimps on each . . . and we were lucky enough that we were also visited in camp by Gremlin and her babies, one of whom tried to steal my husband's shorts from the camp's laundry line! Gombe is beautiful and the camp is perfectly situated, on the shores of Lake Tanganyika. You can see not only chimps other primates (especially the baboons, who will try to sneak into your tent if you don't lock the zippers), birds, and of course, cichlid fish: we could snorkel in the lake just steps from our tent. (Be advised, though, that trekking to see the chimps involves walking from the shore up into the hills. You do want a minimal level of fitness.) Many thanks to Abbas, Ahadi, and the park's trackers and camp staff!Written July 29, 2024
- mirh8940 contributionsSCAMMING BUSINESSREVIEW FOR ECONOMY BOOKINGS (car rental company) I booked a car over two weeks in advance with ECONOMY BOOKINGS (car rental) and found out a couple days later they don't accept visa debit cards. So I had no way to pay them because all I have is my Visa/Debit card. So I went to cancel the booking and they refunded me with a voucher for credit instead of putting the money back into my bank account. IF THEY DONT TAKE DEBIT CARDS HOW DID THEY GET MY MONEY AND HOW AM I GOING TO "FUTURE RENT" if they don't take my form of payment? THIS IS SHADY BUSINESS.Written July 21, 2024
- Quest525568655610 contributionsChimp-tastic!Fantastic trip. Really well organised. Amazing time in the forest with the chimpanzees. The lake itself was beautiful. Great for a morning swim.Written June 1, 2024
- Siepvdl0 contributionsGood for long-range people transportWe had private transportation from Kigoma to Kagera region for 6 passengers with big bags. They arranged an excellent airconditioned vehicle for this 11 hour drive and went to great lenghts to make sure our trip was well arranged. The driver drove prudently over the dusty roads and allowed us to have a break when we wanted. The service and communication beforehand was swift and in good English. We could pay a deposit beforehand and the rest at our destination. All in all it was a lovely experience!Written August 27, 2023
- Trek664845919520 contributionsThe best service.I am not even sure where to start because everything was beyond perfect. Customer service was the best. The entire team took extremely good care of us. We hiked and in one day we saw a lot of chimpanzees in the park. Juma organized it on very short notice and Abbas is very knowledgeable about the park and took us to the best routes. Thanks a lot, guys!Written August 15, 2023

- lenabnckd0 contributionsA wonderful lifetime experience! 100% recommendedI did a 3-days-2-nights trekking with WeCab Tours in Gombe Nationalpark. What can I say? Asante sana! The trip was just super perfect! I saw many schimpanzees (it's not guaranteed for sure because as you know how wildlife is sometimes). BUT I did it in the end of march when officially is off-season and I still saw them. The weather was really good too. Juma, the owner and his employees are super nice people. I always felt safe and understood. Moreover everything was on time what is really rare to get - believe me. I would do it with this organization again for sure! And I will do some other trips when I am again in Tanzania. Don't forget to tip the lovely people working for your happiness all day long. :) Note: Please treat the parc and animals with the most respect. The project of Jane Goodall is just the peek of a mountain of things that we have to do to protect and conservate our wonderful nature and animals. Inform yourself before going and try to support.Written March 29, 2023
- 788lilyk0 contributionsPerfectly organizedMe and my friend were looking for an affordable trip to Gombe national park and so we got to Cab Tours. Everything was arranged so nicely, we couldn't have done it ourselves. We stayed for one night in the park and got to do two trekking. We saw so many chimps! The chef that Abbas took with him was amazing, his food is on the list of best food I've eaten in Tanzania :) I would totally recommend going to Gombe with them!Written November 10, 2022
- Culture087790764810 contributionsAwesome experienceSeeing the chimpanzees was an awesome experience you will never forget. Thanks to Jane Goodall the park is maintained to have a sustainable tourism. Viewing time of the chimpanzees is limited to 1 hour and you need to wear a face mask. This is a reasonable measurement to protect the chimpanzees. For sure everyone of the locals want to have a piece of the cake from the tourism revenue. Therefore nearly every visitor have his own park guide plus 1 or 2 tour operator guides. I wished that there where maybe some more information about the park and the chimpanzees respectively more updated ones. (I think information about the chimpanzee group end around 2000). The resthouse / tented camps are located directly to the lake tanganyika. It is a beautyful place where you can see an incredible sunset. We went there with a tour operator from Kigoma who organised everything from our arrival at the airport until our departure. But if you are on a low budget you can visit Gombe National Park also by yourself. If you are brave enough you can go there by a public transport boat which brings the locals to the villages along the lake tanganyika. This is for sure the cheapest way to get there. I think a better solution is to find a privat boat transport. Therefore you may need to ask around the city or at the harbour and don't forget to negotiate about the price ;) I think a round trip from Kigoma should not cost more than 150-200$. If you want to sleep in the park you may need to prebook the rooms or tented camps. This was also organised by our tour operator.Written November 1, 2022

I was very impressed with the services offered. The driver (Bashiru) was professional, on time, helpful, patient and drove really well. Additionally, the customer service was great and the vehicle allocated was comfortable. Highly recommended
