We had an amazing morning going rafting down the river. The guides were incredible and extremely helpful, informative, friendly, knowledgeable and safe. They made the trip very special for us and I can’t thank them enough. Fantastic group of men. Great memories and the lamb soup was delicious. Highly recommend!!!

Our guide, Vikram, took us about 7 km down the West Glacier River (Class 2 rapids) . On the way down, we stopped for hot chocolate (made on location with water from a natural hot spring next to the river) and cliff jumping into the tail end of a rapid. Me and my sister had an absolute blast, and highly recommend rafting with Bakkaflot! After rafting, they'll take you back to the base camp to enjoy hot showers, hot tub/hot pool, beer, and a lamb stew (vegan option available by request). I had a great time and hope to come back some day for the Class 4 rapids rafting!

Rabi was great. Amazing experience. Beautiful canyons and rock formations. We had varying ages in our raft but Rabi was extremely helpful to all and was very kind

Amazing Rafting experience even thought it was our first rafting everrrr! The guide Arun and Norres (Naresh) who are expert guide from Nepal made us felt so safe and helped us when we fell off the boat (P.S fall was intentional). There comes one jumping point where we can voluntarily jump off the cliff and that was so fun. My husband I loved every bit of it and it was all possible because of awesome guide and crew.

A lot of fun during this 3 hours session with a really good guide Norris who took care of everyone !! Easy ride for everyone even for novice!

We had a terrific experience with the rafting tour with our guide Suraj from Nepal We feld verry safe and de canyon is amazing. The man in the kajak from Czech republic is slso verry funny and responsible. Thank you for saving my doughter after the jump from the rock. The hot chocolate stop is also very nice We had so much fun on our river rafting experience. We couldn't stop smiling. Thank you all so much.

We had booked a Kayaking tour with our family, kids 12 and 15 years old. It was a very great tour of about 1 hour on the river, amazing landscape, great floating and paddling down the river. You got fully equipped clothing and we had an extremely nice and friendly guide. Special thanks to Rabi for your guidance on this wonderful experience and for taking all those pictures for us!

Excellent staff, especially Norris (our guide) and Suraj. They made us feel very welcome and the river adventure was one of the highlights of our trip. The extra bonus of cliff jumping, river swimming and lamb stew was much appreciated. 10/10 would do again.

This river rafting experience was my FAVOURITE part of the boys Iceland trip. We rafted class 4 rapids and our guide Norris, Surgj, and rest of the Bakkaflot team were amazing in keeping us safe while providing us an unforgettable experience. If I came back to Iceland to do anything, this would be it. They also served us lamb soup afterwards which was better then some resteraunt soups we’ve had.

One of the best experiences in Iceland! Well organized, great sceneries and great guides! Also the hot chocolate during the rafting is a fantastic Moment!
