First off I want to start my review by prefacing that we visited Hvar the last week of October/first week of November, which is Hvar’s off-season. Prior to coming to Hvar I had reached out to multiple boat rental companies and they had all said they were done for the season, and 2 of them recommended reaching out to a wonderful company called Mario Rent. So I reached out and from the first email they were so friendly and accommodating. They let me know all of my options, mentioning that the Blue Caves may not be open past Oct 31st but they could accommodate another beautiful route for us. I booked that day with a small deposit that was refunded the day we took the tour and we were all set for our boat day once we got there. We showed up for our boat tour at 9am and the manager/owner was at the office and she gave us the amazing news that they upgraded us, free of charge to a larger boat (that was double the price of the one we originally booked). We had booked the Aquamax 23, but they upgrade us to the Felix 40. There were only 2 of us so that was very unexpected and we were so thankful and happy about that! The next piece of amazing news was that the Blue Caves were still open that day so we were about to do the Blue Cave route. From the start of our boat day to the end, it was all amazing. Our captain, Pope, was so knowledgeable and skilled at driving the boat. We had such a perfect day going to the Blue Cave, swimming in the Green Cave, stopping at the Blue Lagoon for more swimming and we even got to stop at the old military caves on Vis Islands. I couldn’t recommend them enough, such a great company!

The trip was great- customized to our group. We saw many great sights, caves, grottos, beaches etc. our guide Jay also took us to one of his favorite reasons in Vis. It was amazing!

Our skipper, J was awesome, he gave us some wonderful insights into the coast that he showed us, and brought us to the most amazing restaurant where I got the best vegetarian food of the week that we spent in Croatia. I hate boats and the sea, and J made the whole experience really enjoyable with a steady boat, and the landscape that we saw was absolutely beautiful. As a non-confident swimmer too, he had a heap of floats and bits and bobs on the boat, and brought us into a disused submarine base where it was really easy to swim. We did the Blue Cave (nice, but quick and pricey) as well as another almost deserted island, who's name escapes me, but again, perfect for a swim and a relaxing time on the beach. The whole day was definitely a highlight of our time in Croatia, thank you J!

My husband and I had the most wonderful day. Although the Blue Cave was closed due to weather conditions, Harris (our Skipper) still managed to make the trip and the whole day perfect. The lunch be arranged was delicious with an amazing view! He respected our private time while still engaging in great conversation. Absolutely amazing trip and Skipper!

Great day with a great skipper. Although the Blue Cave was closed Jake made the day with his recommended itinerary, in particular the lunch stop. Throughly recommended.

Jay was a wonderful skipper who took us to the best beaches in Croatia. He was very informative and very accommodating to our group. Viis was my favourite place but I loved all the places we visited today.

J was great! He brought us to all the great locations on the trip and gave us some great background history of the locations. The swimming was incredible!

Really good trip, visiting lots of sight and swimming spots. Our driver Harris was great - he was friendly, helpful, informative and fun. He made the trip perfect.

We had an amazing time on the Blue Cave boat tour in Croatia! Our guide, Harris, was fantastic—friendly, helpful, and really made the experience special. He shared great insights about the area and ensured we were comfortable throughout the trip. The Blue Cave was stunning, but Harris’ warm personality truly made this tour unforgettable. The decision to hire Mario Rent private excursion was 100% the right option!!! Great skipper and first mate, Vinko and Martina, were skilled and friendly, tailoring the trip to meet our specific interests - they made wonderful suggestions to make our trip exciting and memorable. Best day of our trip so far!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our boat trip around the island with Toma. He was very friendly, chatty, and gave us all a brief history on each island we visited. Loved the variety of music he played! It was our first time on a smaller, faster boat, and I was a little apprehensive at first, but loved when Toma drive faster! Leah, who we booked with is also lovely! Youssef and Sara (spelling questionable!) were exceptional; they booked us in for lunch on Vis island, planned when we bought our tickets for the Blue Cave and when to return to avoid the long queues which allowed us to visit more places in the interim and finally,Yosef was a human propeller by tying a rope to his foot to pull a dinghy boat to a small beach with some travelers aboard. They really made the day and were lovely to speak to. They had great English which was very helpful to all. Wishing you all nothing but the best (specifically Sara in her upcoming college career exams!)

Fantastic tour. First, Toma and Vinko were fabulous tour guides. Super friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating throughout the day. They took us to some extra spots that were sublime. Second, just a spectacular island and the best way to see and swim in the clearest blue waters you can imagine. Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.
