First off I want to start my review by prefacing that we visited Hvar the last week of October/first week of November, which is Hvar’s off-season. Prior to coming to Hvar I had reached out to multiple boat rental companies and they had all said they were done for the season, and 2 of them recommended reaching out to a wonderful company called Mario Rent. So I reached out and from the first email they were so friendly and accommodating. They let me know all of my options, mentioning that the Blue Caves may not be open past Oct 31st but they could accommodate another beautiful route for us. I booked that day with a small deposit that was refunded the day we took the tour and we were all set for our boat day once we got there. We showed up for our boat tour at 9am and the manager/owner was at the office and she gave us the amazing news that they upgraded us, free of charge to a larger boat (that was double the price of the one we originally booked). We had booked the Aquamax 23, but they upgrade us to the Felix 40. There were only 2 of us so that was very unexpected and we were so thankful and happy about that! The next piece of amazing news was that the Blue Caves were still open that day so we were about to do the Blue Cave route. From the start of our boat day to the end, it was all amazing. Our captain, Pope, was so knowledgeable and skilled at driving the boat. We had such a perfect day going to the Blue Cave, swimming in the Green Cave, stopping at the Blue Lagoon for more swimming and we even got to stop at the old military caves on Vis Islands. I couldn’t recommend them enough, such a great company!

We had the best time and definitely worth doing when visiting Hvar! Our tour guide was wonderful and got to visit so many beautiful places in Croatia!

After much researching, we consistently found that Mario Rent had the best reviews for private Hvar boat tours. My wife and I booked the red rocks tour through the company and could not have had a better experience. Our skipper, Alen, was so enjoyable to spend the day with and was very accommodating. The boat was clean and spacious (we rented the AquaMax 23), water was provided and he played music through the boat the whole day. We made probably 8-10 different stops at various sites, beaches and beach bars -- each time he gave us a good brief history of each stop. We also stopped for lunch at a local place within some of the islands, which was one of our favorite and most authentic meals of the entire trip. Could not recommend this company and tour enough. My only tips are to book directly through their website, as doing so will save you a few hundred Euro compared to booking through Viator or TripAdvisor and to bring water shoes if you have them (will help save you some cuts on your feet if you want to climb the rocks and jump off).

Our skipper, J was awesome, he gave us some wonderful insights into the coast that he showed us, and brought us to the most amazing restaurant where I got the best vegetarian food of the week that we spent in Croatia. I hate boats and the sea, and J made the whole experience really enjoyable with a steady boat, and the landscape that we saw was absolutely beautiful. As a non-confident swimmer too, he had a heap of floats and bits and bobs on the boat, and brought us into a disused submarine base where it was really easy to swim. We did the Blue Cave (nice, but quick and pricey) as well as another almost deserted island, who's name escapes me, but again, perfect for a swim and a relaxing time on the beach. The whole day was definitely a highlight of our time in Croatia, thank you J!

My husband and I had the most wonderful day. Although the Blue Cave was closed due to weather conditions, Harris (our Skipper) still managed to make the trip and the whole day perfect. The lunch be arranged was delicious with an amazing view! He respected our private time while still engaging in great conversation. Absolutely amazing trip and Skipper!

Jay was a wonderful skipper who took us to the best beaches in Croatia. He was very informative and very accommodating to our group. Viis was my favourite place but I loved all the places we visited today.

J was great! He brought us to all the great locations on the trip and gave us some great background history of the locations. The swimming was incredible!

Really good trip, visiting lots of sight and swimming spots. Our driver Harris was great - he was friendly, helpful, informative and fun. He made the trip perfect.

Great skipper and first mate, Vinko and Martina, were skilled and friendly, tailoring the trip to meet our specific interests - they made wonderful suggestions to make our trip exciting and memorable. LEO was an awesome skipper and now friend! My bf and I had a truly wonderful day with him not only was he knowledgeable about everything but he was so genuine and fun to be around - and we as a group including him had soo much fun chit chatting all day and going into the water at each stop!!

Jay made the tour a great experience and took us to his best spots - the whole group enjoy the day and would 100% recommend anyone to book!

Harris was a incredible guide. He works in a professional yet relax way that makes him the best option to book a trip. He is really funny and caring he will take great pictures of you and even teach you how to do a back flip. Furthermore his boat was super clean and organized. He had some goggles that makes us enjoy more our swimming time as we were able to see different fishes and to finish the day he gave us some cold beverages. I highly recommend him.
