Croatia is so full of tourists (like me) that its difficult to get a sense of what the country is really like if you only visit the Hvar main town, Dubrovnik, Split etc. Our 30km ebike tour with Hvar Life gave us more of a sense of what Croatia is really like, away from the crowds. This was hands down the best experience we had whilst visiting Croatia. Our guide George was fantastic. He collected us from Hvar old town and dropped us back afterwards. We had a chance to see the beautiful countryside, visit a winery and we had a splendid lunch cooked in a traditional way. it was very interesting and much enjoyed. I would highly recommend this private tour.

We rented e bikes and cycled across the Stari Grad plain and along the coast. I would highly recommend this. Excellent service

I rent a 50cc scooter right after leaving the ferry. An employee gave me a very useful map with a suggested route to have a good overview of the island and some restaurant suggestions as well. Then, I rode all day on all the winding mountain roads with my 50km/h pace, not being really bothered by the few cars that have the same speed limit as me. Having a scooter allows to park and stop almost everythere and gives you a feeling of total freedom exploring the island. I gave it back before my ferry departure and spent an awesome day for a good price. Note: it could be a bit scary riding through the dark tunnel to Hvar but no worries, cars will wait calmly behind you and sometimes it seems tricky to ride on top of the hills when it is very windy. But take your time and relax and everything would be fine!

If you want to experience the true beauty of Hvar Island, then I wholeheartedly recommend booking a cycling tour with Hvar Life. My partner and I had our private tour with Luca as our guide, who was very knowledgeable, friendly, and great company for our ride around the north of the island. It's clear he has a great deal of passion for the island and his job as a guide (and he took some great photos too)! We were provided with e-bikes for our tour based on Luca's recommendation, which were definitely appreciated during the later climb to Humac! Our tour was absolutely perfect, taking in Stari Grad and the Plains, Vrboska, Jelsa, the 'lost village' of Humac... with some of the most stunning coastal and mountainous routes in-between. We also had two wine-tasting stops as part of the tour, including an intimate tasting session in the cellar of the renowned Duboković Winery in Jelsa... just amazing. The tour was finished perfectly with an authentic Dalmatian dinner at Konoba Humac, which offers panoramic views of the island and beyond from its perch at 350m above sea level. I cannot state enough how beneficial it was having a guide who knew the best and most picturesque routes between our stops. If you are considering just renting bikes and trying to do it yourself (as we initially were), then I implore you to invest in a guide with Hvar Life. We saw and experienced so much more than we could possibly have done alone, including some of the most breathtaking scenery Dalmatia has to offer. We rented ebikes from hvar.life and it was a good choice. Office is located right at the stari grad port, so we didnt waste much time looking for the place. Owner is an expert and recommended me ebikes instead of mtb and i am glad i listened. We had so much fun trailing from stari grad to hvar, going through beuatiful mountains and peaks with unbelievable beautiful view over sea. Was worried about battery capacity, but after 80km it still had 37 pct left, which would be enough for a detour to Jelsa. After this exciting adrenaline experience, i decied to buy ebike myself.

Absolutely incredible experience. Luca is a real passionate, he know all the right cycle paths and gave me great advises. I highly recommend !

My girlfriend and I had a great time with Luca on our trip. We saw parts of the island we otherwise wouldn’t have seen and had a well earned, delicious lunch at a Konoba before heading back. In total the trip was about 5 hours and we covered 31km with frequent breaks for photo’s etc. I would highly recommend if you enjoy cycling and want to explore some of the island. I will definitely rebook when we revisit Hvar.

Massimo couldn’t have been more helpful. He was super flexible with arranging the bike pick up and return. The bike was fantastic too and really made the riding more enjoyable, even the hills! Massimo gave me some great advice on routes and even joined me for a couple of rides. I’d definitely recommend Hvar Life and would be keen to try the gravel and off road riding next time I’m here.

We were lucky enough to have our tour with Massimo in mid October. The roads he lead us through were almost deserted, what a joy. The bikes were great and the route fantastic. Our fav was Vbroska to Jelsa what a joy deserted roads beautiful places and no traffic- millionaires cycling. We really appreciated Massimo's ability to tailor the tour for ability. Which made the whole day extremely enjoyable.

We booked this tour through our hotel concierge and we LOVED it! Massimo was such a great guide. We were the only 2 on the tour and, as such, we could take our time during the tour if we wanted. The tour takes you through beautiful parts of Hvar - start in Stari Grad, bike through small villages until you end up in Jelsa, stop for delicious coffee/gelato/cakes in Jelsa, continue biking through countryside until arrive at beautiful farm where you can have lunch (ALL included in price). You then bike back through Stari Grad. Overall, the ride is easy. There is a bit of a climb on your way to a hilltop town, but Massimo will let you stop and/or slow down the pace to make sure you make it up the hill comfortably and safely. Massimo was so fun and kind. It was great to get to know him. He took pictures of the whole tour and then send them to me through WhatsApp. This tour was our favorite part of our trip to Hvar, and possibly our favorite part of our whole trip to Croatia! You should ABSOLUTELY book it!

My husband wanted to cycle on Hvar island. He could hire a buke, shoes and helmet. The service was helpful, efficient and excellent. The rides on the island are not for the fainthearted.

Rented an MTB for a full day of cycling. Bike was very good for a rental bike. They only have hard tails, no full suspension bikes, but turns out that was totally fine considering the tracks available. Very helpful staff giving recommendations on tracks. The cycling as such was however a bit of a dissapointment. No single tracks available, only gravel roads and similar. The view from the top of the island was however spectacular. So still worth it!

Had a great day with Massimo on the trails and roads through Hvar. The island has so much beautiful scenery and small towns to explore. Massimo knows the best places to go and does a fantastic job tailoring to your wants and needs. Couldn’t have picked a better thing to do.

We did a guided mtb trip with Mossimo. Bikes are quality hard tails. Shop had shoes and clip pedals for us to use. Mossimo takes you all over the island on trails you will never find on your own. Also makes stops at cool places. Riding isn’t super technical. lots of climbing, mostly on double track. When one of our riders got injured (not Mossimo’s fault) he was great about making sure he got treatment. Highly recommended for mtb and I’m sure the road biking is great as well. Great experience.
