A lovely private tour with Urka of the island of Hvar coupled with a wine tasting at Little Venice. Urka a local resident of Hvar was extremely knowledgeable about Hvar and answered all our questions. We were keen to learn about the history of the island which was very interesting but above this he answered all other questions we had like: where does the island get its water supply from? Is there a Radio station in Hvar and How many schools in Hvar? We tasted 5 wines and they were paired with different food items like cheese, fish and chocolate. The talk was very good and we were even shown recent photos of the grapes. We enjoyed our tour with Urka and would recommend it as not just a wine experience. Thank you.

My family and I have done this tour twice now. It is a great way to spend a day getting a tour of the Hvar Island for friends/family visiting. Dinko our driver was outstanding. The wine tasting was excellent and the lunch was also amazing. The next time we have friends and family visiting we will book this trip again. Definitely worth the price!

What a fabulous day we spent with Dinko as our guide! We enjoyed the scenic stops, the knowledge and history he was able to provide regarding so much of what we saw, and the wine and olive oil tastings were fantastic! The meal was delicious. It was a perfect day!

Amazing Hvar has been so wonderful to work with. We have used them for two years now. Tonci and his wife have together to make sure dates and times work for our trip. Tonci knows all the hidden gems, such beautiful sites and beaches. Tonci is also experienced with catching octopus and sea urchins for us. We wanted to do a wine tasting, but none of the agencies in Hvar town seemed to want to offer one. Luckily we found this one on line via Getyourguide. Booked and paid about 10.30 pm, acknowledged within 15 minutes and picked up bang on time by Dinka at 12 am the next day. Great organisation. Dinka was a fabulous guide covering everything from the Islands history, language, agriculture and even football, which is of course the universal language. We visited the Napoleonic fort, lavender terraces, old stone dwellings and then finally spent over an hour in a candlelit cellar where we sampled 9 wines and 4 olive oils. The host was very friendly and got the balance between giving us space and telling us about the wines just right. There was no hard sell. If you are looking for a tour of multiple wineries and to learn a lot more this might not be for you, but for us the chance to sample many wines in a friendly environment was spot on. The visit confirmed my view that Croatia has some excellent wines. Overall at about £100 a person, for a three hour tour off the beaten track I thought this good VFM. We were told a driver alone would be £50/h.

Urska was an amazing tour guide!! Extremely knowledgeable about the history of the island and great company! The wine and olive oil tasting was a lovely experience as well.

Ursa was a great guide and very fun to spend the afternoon with. We enjoyed each spot and appreciated the chance to see some of the less touristy aspects of Hvar, including Stari Grad. The lunch was great, the wine very good. It was a great change of pace from our days on the water.

This was not what we expected. The drive was ok sharing some history about the island but the wine tasting experience was average. Our host for the wine did not offer much information and constantly left our table to attend to others. We were told this would include olive oil but it was a tiny amount with little pieces of bread and again hardly any information about it. Would not recommend.

Our tour guide was fantastic, loved her island - so informative and took us to a couple of vineyards for tastings - we also had a delicious lunch in the mountains- it might seem to be alot of money to spend but to have a private tour with such a vibrant informative guide was well worth it ! Thank you so much !

We were picked up by Dinko our guide from our villa which was great service and taken to a small winery in Jelsa, taking in some stunning scenery on route. The wine and olive oil tasting took the pace in their cellars which was a great and welcoming coolness. We got to try 7 wines, including the prize winner, as well as 4 deliciously flavoured olive oils. On the way back Dinko took us a different route back past all the dry stone walls and terraces and up to Fort Napoleon which gave superb views of the Pakleni Islands. A great way to spend a few hours!

Our guide was from Hvar and really made the tour that much more interesting. We made a couple of stops on our way back from the wine tasting and this for me, was the best part. As for the wine, I wasn't that interested but did buy 1 bottle and some olive oil. The person giving the wine tasting was very informative, though. All in all, I'd recommend the tour.

Wonderful trip! The wineries were very small production, very artful about their craft, and happy to let you sample their pride and joy. Our guide was excellent and not only showed us more of Hvar, but also answered all of our questions and gave us more helpful advice for our trip.

This was a tour by private car to some lovely views and points of interest in Hvar. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Our last stop was in a small village where we had lavender cheesecake and a sweetened water beverage. Tasted like water with some simple syrup or honey in it. It was very pleasant. Unfortunately there are no longer any lavender fields on Hvar, so it was not quite what we expected to see. We enjoyed it nonetheless.

This is the real deal: Tonjci, the skipper, runs this family business with his wife and has lived in Hvar his whole life. He loves this island and the ocean. He’s competent, easy going and such a character! One of my sons wanted to dive for octopus and Toncji got in the water and dived with him. He had a bag full to go home with and bbq for dinner by the end of the day. Toncji knows all the best spots in and around Hvar and took us to an awesome restaurant for lunch. A highlight of our trip.
