Your guide provides VIP service, informative commentary, and round-trip transportation from Barossa or Adelaide.
What to Expect

Enjoy a complimentary pickup at your Barossa accomodation at 10am and begin your personally tailored wine tour of the Barossa Valley in our rare and classic 1962 Daimler. All of our tours are conducted by John, a passionate local with 25 years of touring experience.  He was at the forefront of offering bespoke tours, looking after wine lovers from all over the world. He loves to share his personal Barossa connections and friendships, with all who tour with him and his introductions to the wine fraternity are priceless! You can be a keen beginner or a connoisseur and your tour will be completely tailored to suit you, your wine tastes and interests!

Before you start the day, John will have a brief chat with you and find out your wine preferences and interests and if you have any requests for the day. Your winery visits can include famous and iconic wineries such as Penfolds, Seppeltsfield and Yalumba, the smaller family owned boutique gems, or the up and coming little known newcomers that only a local would know. Barossa icons such as Henschke, Torbreck and Charles Meltons can also be included, whatever makes for the best day for you.

There are no time limits or a particular 'A to B to C' type itinerary to follow, so you can linger longer at a cellar door you are enjoying, or move on the the next winery.   The only definite for the day is a sumptuous 2-course lunch with a glass of Barossa wine at Vintners Restaurant, and afternoon tea at Maggie Beers Farm Shop.  Entrance fees and general wine tastings at the wineries are included, however at some, there are high end tastings available for their premium wines, and these are offered at an added cost.  For example, The ‘Centenary Tour’ at Sepeltsfield Winery allows you to tour the historic site, taste the 100 year old Tawny and the rare experience of drawing from the barrel of your birth year. Organising this in advance with us is best as it can't be guaranteed on the day.  This is a rare opportunity, not offered anywhere else in the world.

Throughout the day John gives you entertaining commentary on the wine, the history, local characters, culture, architecture and terroir of this world famous region. You may also chose to indulge in cheese and local produce tastings as our tours are exclusive to one party ensuring flexibility is at a premium.

With only 6 of these 1962 Daimlers brought to Australia for the royal tours of the sixties, this is a unique opportunity to tour in such a classic and historic vehicle.

You'll be dropped back to your Barossa accommodation at 5pm.   Check availability in real-time, on our website and bookings can be made directly with us so to ensure a perfectly tailored day is planned for you.

The only items at your cost, are bottles of wine or other delights you may choose to buy during the day.

Life memories are made when touring The Barossa in a classic 1962 Daimler, with John Baldwin.

You can find a better tour than this

John is clearly knowledgeable about wine, but his behavior was quite unprofessional. He asked us a lot of personal questions, far more than just the usual "getting to know you" questions, and didn't have a sense of allowing us to enjoy our private tour. The...More
