Wonderful value and 18 month old babies loved it too.
Wonderful value and 18 month old babies loved it too. In order to improve, there could be labels on the fruit tasting because you cant remember/hear everything being said in the talk. The talk is especially difficult with young children so it would be helpful if they are offered to come and help self to fruit first. I would also like more instructions when getting in and off the tractor about what you will need to take with you and directions for how to get out at the end. Also the coffee queue was very long just before the tour and the place only opened 9am so we couldn’t have got there any earlier for 9.30am tour. They also couldn’t accept cash because they didn’t have enough change in the till. We still had a fantastic time, however this was my second visit and would like to see the above improved for next time. Also please be aware that it can get very hot in summer so make sure you take a pocket fan, water, hats and sunscreen! We didn’t take enough water and were very dehydrated by the end.

The enjoyable day out with friends!!
The friends absolutely enjoyed the day at The FRUIT WORLD. Fruits testing is Amazing, the ride, both the Cart and the boat rides are also relaxing. All the staffs are very friendly, and willing to explain if you have more questions regarding the place, and explaining more about the fruits or produced. More friends and family to introduce in the near future. Thank you Cheers Nancy Paull

      Very Interesting
Full tour was very interesting, although not travelling with kids, there was plenty to keep them amused if you were. Fruit tasting was a bit crowded, but were able to sample the different varieties. However, if not travelling using your own transport then make sure you make note of local taxi companies because although we got an uber to TFW, we were unable to get one to pick us up from there. Would be good if TFW did a shuttle twice a day to Kingscliff where there is a public Busline running - would've been happy to pay a few dollars per passenger for such a service.

      Great family day out
What an amazing day great for foodies out there. Highly recommend the tour, very informative and the fruit tasting was top notch the chef gave loads of recommendations and even provided a recipe or two when asked. As someone who loves fruit and grows their own food it was an agricultural haven. If you have particular fruit in mind you want to try just ask the very friendly and knowledgeable staff to plan your visit just right.

      Disappointed but would still recommend
Have always wanted to check out tropical fruit world but was a bit disappointed with the full farm tour experience. The old fella who ran the tour seemed very disinterested and mumbled the whole time so you could not understand anything he was saying. The petting zoo, boat ride and bush tukka talk were okay but nothing super impressive. What I was really holding out for though was the fruit tasting, unfortunately way too many tickets had been sold to this. There was not enough room to seat everyone and since we were at the back we were the last group to go up and get fruit. By the time everyone else had been up most of the interesting fruit had been taken. It was really dissapointing that too many people were brought in and there was not enough fruit to go around.

      Good fun with new experiences
I really enjoyed the experience professionally run with very helpful guides happy to answer your questions and have a chat. The fruit tasting is fun with new fruits as well as some old favourites. Staff in the gift shop and produce shop happy to help you with when different fruits are ripe and the best way to eat them. The cafe food was fresh and delicious with large portions.

      Well organised yummy fruits tasting
Had an awesome time at TFW taking in fruit tasting, a tour around the farm talking to its history and the family owned and operated business. The animal feeding and boat ride was fun.

I wasn't sure about doing this tour as I thought it would be more geared towards children, but how wrong I was. We were with our daughter and 3 & 5 year old grandchildren, and the adults probably enjoyed it more. We arrived for our 1.20pm fruit tasting with Andrew (I think his name was). He was passionate about the farm, knowledgeable, and told us so much about the beautiful fruit we were to sample. A veritable feast was laid out for us, and he commented that as we were the last tour of the day, we were to finish it all. But he talked until almost 1.50pm, leaving us only 10 minutes to try everything and make a purchase (which I did). So a lot of fruit was left uneaten. Perhaps he could have allowed us to sample some halfway through the talk so we weren't rushed. Barry, our tour leader, arrived at 1.55pm to collect us for our 2pm tour, and he was friendly and knowledgeable about the farm as well. The tractor ride was fun, and we stopped to crack some macadamias and pick a banana to eat halfway through the ride. I couldn't believe there were so many varieties grown on this huge property. We then stopped at the animal farm, and the children enjoyed feeding the animals for perhaps 20 minutes, ( only $1 per feed cup). We them boarded a boat for a peaceful ride through a forest before stopping at a playground, where we sampled lemon myrtle tea and Barry talked about the aboriginal contributions to the area whilst the children played. Back in the tractor for the short ride back to the shop and cafe, where we purchased an icecream made worth fresh fruit. I tried the chocolate fruit mixed with another 2 fruits, which I'd never heard of. Just delicious and well worth the $7.50. By the time we got back, there wasn't a lot of time to shop, so do it before they close at 4pm. Plenty of fresh fruit to purchase as well as packaged food. $56 for adults, $46 concession, and $35 for children 4 and up, I felt it was very good value and would highly recommend doing the tour, or even just visit the cafe and shop. There's a sandpit at the entrance for children as well.

This is one of the best experiences on offer in the area and suitable for all ages.

Well paced, very interesting and interactive there is something for everyone.

Kids will love the tractor ride through the orchards, adults will surely learn something new about the nutritional and healing properties of the plants and fruit grown on the farm and enjoy the fruit tasting.

There are stops along the way and an opportunity to crack macadamia nuts, see how bananas grow (and enjoy a taste of course) (Note: they confirm whether or not there are nut allergies at this point)

There's a short stop to pet (and feed if you like) goats, sheep and donkeys and to see kangaroos.

Then a cruisey, scenic boat ride to a great little play / picnic area and an opportunity to learn about native plants and their healing qualities.

I imagine if you were so inclined you could enjoy your own picnic lunch here, although there's a lovely little cafe to visit at the end of the tour.

As s we were visiting with a toddler and a 2 month old (& feeding times for this little guy are important) the only improvement I would suggest is to stick to the timetable.

I also love that this farm is accessible to locals by offering discounts for those who live nearby.

We arrived on a very rainy day and it felt like a bit of a disappointment when we first arrived. Probably due to COVID the cafe was practically deserted and our two year old really struggled in the cafe.
This was actually the worst of it for us, as we finished off our coffees and strolled in the light rain to the fruit tasting the young lass went through all the fruits and benefits of the crops on the plantation, then we got to taste the delicious spoils. While my child was not keen to experiment much of the fair was weird and delicious.
Jumping on a trailer pulled by a massive tractor, we sat up front as our rain soaked guide took us through the plantation talking about the history and the various development over 20+ years. Stopping to sample some delicious banana and crush some macadamias this was really exciting for my little one and we didn’t know what was to come next.
The animal farm was really cute and had the little one engaged with a small donation if you wanted to feed them.
The real value was the river tour.
An ecosystem developed from the overflow of their dam and supplied with natural springs, it’s truely a beautiful wrap-up of this gorgeous eco-tour.
The last step was some bush tucker and some mini golf, flying Fox and a playground for the little ones. This truly is value for money.
If your looking for something a little different south of the Gold Coast, check this out.
    You won’t be disappointed.

I did enjoy the tour Barry was great showing us around the farm. What happened after that was life threatening for my daughter who is anaphlactic and is allergic to Dairy, Egg and Peanuts as this was our second time visiting. We had the Dairy free ice cream which was fine then I ordered a coffee and a soy baby chino strictly soy as I stressed about here allergies as we had dairy free ice cream. The staff gave us milk which she took an instant reaction too my coffee had soy and My daughter had milk. Straight away she had a reaction breaking out in lumps and sore stomach.
The management said they would call me the next day to see how she was, no phone call they said to take her straight to hospital. Then no phone call if they really cared they would have phoned us the next day.

The farm tour well exceeded my expections and included not only the tractor pulled carriage ride but also a boat trip. The staff were very interesting explaining so much about the wide variety of fruits. The guide explaining the indigenous fruit plants was particularly passionate about his work. Afterwards bought lunch from the cafe and an icecream where three fruits could be picked to be blended with icecream.

My partner and I did the farm tour. We didn't know what to expect and ended up loving it! The fruit tasting was delicious and our tour guides were friendly and informative. We loved the lemon myrtle water tasting and products. There is a store to buy fruit and an avocado deal - a bucket for $10. A word of advise if you are a member of NRMA they do discounts for this - make sure you check before paying full freight. The tour is pricey but well worth it!!!

We booked ahead due to covid and when we arrived were greeted by very friendly staff and live music. Started our 2.5 hour full farm tour with a fruit tasting and found staff to be very patient with lots of kids. Moved on to a tractor tour of the property and hundreds of different fruit plants all the while with lovely commentary and explanations by staff.
Left the tour full with fruit and great unique souvenirs. Green papaya seed salt is a must buy!

We visited the farm today and did the tour, and absolutely loved it. It far exceeded our expectations and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The tour guide had amazing knowledge and was lovely. The pace of the tour was great, and we learnt so much. The farm has clearly been a labour of love and it shows. It's so well cared for and was a joy to spend the day at.
We attended with our 20 month old son, and he loved the fruit tasting, meeting the farm animals, and the lovely kids play areas.
If you are thinking about visiting and doing the tour- do it :)

This tour is a must do when you are in the area. I must admit, the entry cost of $50 for an adult did make us think twice about going BUT the tour is actually value for money and well worth doing.
We really enjoyed the fruit tasting, eating real tree ripened bananas, and cracking macadamia nuts, but the stand out was the bush foods tasting and discussion was the standout on our tour.
To encounter someone with so much passion about bush foods is exceptional and his knowledge about local plants was second to none.
    Recommend doing the tour.

Visited as a family of 3 (with a 3.5yo). Hired a car from Gold Coast.
Enjoyed the place, my son mostly enjoyed the tractor ride, boat ride and 5 min animal feeding.

Staff were very informative. Fruit tasting was average (no water provided on the day meaning you have to purchase a bottle)
Im giving a 3 because i felt like the animal feeding shouldve been a little longer than 5min? The cafe was also average and the lady making the dairy free ice cream had terrible memory in remembering 2 orders of ice cream. I had to repeat myself 3-4 times. Funny enough my order was already on the board because its one of their recommendations.

Im hoping for the future, at the end of tour, a free small ice cream would be provided as part of the tour for the price we paid for (even atleast for the kids).

I wouldnt say my son had an excellent time to be raving about it but id say he had a good day.
