- costelac20210 contributionsI was left alone on a mountain in a foreign country (Turkey) even if there were 3 guides for 9 clients.Thieves! They don't care for their clients! All they want is to get the money from them and get rid of them without doing much. DON'T RECOMMEND unless you want to feel miserable on your moneyWritten June 6, 2023

- krisevi0 contributionsgreatbeen on a couple of day trips with them back in 2019, the places are always amazing, guides are good they have other countries on the list as well, not sure if they do tours in english too though prices on their official websites are a bit lower than hereWritten November 2, 2021

- bittermelon20150 contributionsHighly recommendedI travelled a lot with Oxigen tour during the last year and all my trips with them have been great. All the guides are professional and friendly and their attention to details and safety is impressive. After having travelled with other mountain travel agencies in Romania my conclusion was: only with O2 from now on!:)) Great job, guys! You are the best!Written July 6, 2020
- gabrielvp_1230 contributionsAdventure in the DolomitesI'm truly grateful to have had the pleasure of going with them in the Dolomites (Sept. 17-22 2019). The guides I've been with were Daniel Tudor, Liliana Rotaru & Andrei Voicu (You can find their description on their website) & honestly they were just amazing people. Right from day one I felt like I was going with my best friends & the feeling lasted until the last day which was a bit depressing not because my vacation was over, but because I knew I was gonna miss them :) . They truly transformed my simple vacation into the most beautiful experience of my life & I definitely recommend them to anyone :D btw... The Dolomites were awesome, please go there :D Kind regards, Gabriel P.Written October 4, 2019
- 212salina0 contributionsPure nature! Breathtaking view!A perfect trip! A beautiful hike in the nature! First, it goes uphill but you will be rewarded with a fantastic view. Proper shoes are very important. Our guide Daniel was very friendly, considerate and helpful. after the 8 hours hike we were still eating together! Everything was well organized and I would immediately book again with oxigen tour!Written July 11, 2019
- Alice M0 contributionsTerrible experienceI definitely don't recommand Oxigen Tour. Very, very unprofessional service. I booked a one day trip and when we arrived close to the place where we should have start our hiking (after 5 hours by bus) the road was already closed since 3 months ago. The information was public, available on every website that shows the road situation in Romania. So, the agency didn't even verify if the trip was even possbile. The bus was very old, the driver very unexperienced and the whole day was a total fiasco..I tried many travel agencies, but with oxigen tour was the worst experience ever.Written June 16, 2019

- acpcbr0 contributionsOutstanding one day experience for two peopleRecently returned from a two-month holiday in Europe beginning in Bucharest, by chance we met a guy called Cezar who took my wife and I for a full day trip in the mountains north of Bucharest, for $300 euro we enjoyed exploring two castles (Bran & Peles). Cezar spoke good English and drove a Mercedes; both my wife and I really enjoyed the full day, one on one experience that Cezar provided. He will also can pick you up from the airport and transport you to your hotel for around $120 euros. If you want a great experience, contact this guy on: cezar.teodorescu@yahoo.comWritten August 26, 2018
- Paianu F0 contributionsAmazing teamIs the second time when me and my friends experience traveling with Oxigen. What I like the most is that they are always prepared to answer to your questions and they are very professional with their work. Gabi is a wonderful person and Marius is always there to help you. I can wait for next adventures, the next one will be on mountain side (Marius talked very nice about the activities that you can do there). You have a great team, keep doing your best!Written March 20, 2018
- Martin L0 contributionsWonderful TripWe had a fantastic time on this tour, we saw many natural wonders in the National park including beautiful waterfalls, forests and several caves which have a rich history. We also took a tour of an old fortress and the town of Lovech. The highlight would be the Devetashka Cave (as pictured) which was breathtaking to see and to learn about its use during WW2, and in recent times as a filming location. We were also told if you go in the summer there’s also lots of wildlife, many species of bats and birds. The cave is cold though so wear layers! Our guide, Andrei, was amazing. He arrived early to pick us up from our hotel and we beat the traffic out the city! He is very knowledgeable and recounted tales about Romanian, Bulgarian and Ottoman Empire history and how these events affected the areas we saw on the tour. He was very friendly, a safe driver, answered my numerous questions and lead the tour at my pace. He was patient when we took lots of photos and recommended other things to do whilst in Bucharest! On the tour you also make a stop for lunch at an authentic Bulgarian restaurant and have time at the end of the day to buy souvenirs in town. The best time to go would be in the summer but the advantage of going in spring is less tourists! Thank you for a fun day out!Written March 19, 2018

This was a hike i will never forget. Sorin was very friendly and a fantastic guide. He went out of his way to make the experience as fantastic as it was. The view is one you can't forget. It was a challenging hike due to the snow and ice but Sorin was a great guide and helped me along the way. This is a great way to see the true beauty Romania and get away from the typical tourists attractions.

Our guide was Stefan and he made the entire experience a memory we will treasure forever. Stefan picked us up promptly at 7am in a air conditioned car. We stopped for coffee and breakfast along our way to the mountain. He was very informative on the trip and conversation was easy with him. The trek was challenging but not overly difficult. It took us 3 hours to reach the summit. We were glad that we brought two bottles of water each, wore long pants but I wish I had brought actual trekking shoes.
Along the way Stefan was very attentive to not only us but other trekkers too. Offering advice and encouragement to everyone. We stopped at a lake for a break and reached the summit in three hours. The feeling we had once we reached the peak was exhilarating. The decent down the mountain was very difficult but again Stefan was patient and told us exactly how to climb down the mountain. By the time we reached the car we had been on the mountain for 5 hours.
I enjoyed driving on the famous Transfagarasan and enjoyed taking pictures of the actual fortress of Vlad the Impaler. We stopped for a well deserved dinner at a restaurant before heading back home. Stefan was great and made sure we were comfortable and happy throughout our experience.
Although it is possible to do this trek on your own, I would not recommend doing it without a guide. There were so many times that I was glad we were with an expert and our experience could have been disappointing without a guide. If you only do 1 thing in Romania this should be it.

Hello , I might like to do this tour on this Friday but have some questions..?
1. Is it a very difficult hike..? I am 51 years old man with average built and fitness.
2. Is it a private tour..?
3. Can the price be better ? It's a bit too expensive give for me , just 1 person.
Thank you
