I did a week long kitesurfing course. The experience went beyond the expectation. The kitesurfing was given by very experienced teacher which combine fun with safety. As this was off season stay we had lessons at beautiful Lagoa de Albuferia. Highly recommend place!

I was in Costa da Caparica for 2 weeks in July 2017 for the sole purpose of kitesurf lessons and had the greatest experience. The beach was about 20 minutes away from where I was staying - was beautiful, clean and away from the masses of people. The instructors Helio and Hugo were amazing and treated me like an old friend, while waiting for the wind to pick up, we'd hang out at the surfshop watching waves, get introduced to some of locals and even had a little barbecue one day. The instruction was very personalized and provided me with the confidence to learn this new sport. I highly recommend the Boarder Club and the 12 hours of training if you are starting with no experience - because you will need it to learn how to control the kite, board and navigate, but also beyond that, it gives you an excuse to chill at this great beach and get to know the team.

Nova Vaga beach In Costa da Caparica Is the first legal área where you can pratice kitesurf either if you are a total begginner or advanced rider. Visit this local school and shop there and don't take chances by yourself. There are surf, stand up paddle and kitesurf lessons for all ages and just 50m away theres a bar On The beach. The parking space for the car is just another 50m away from the beach and you have a really cool old man that keeps your car safe. Wind from april to september is normally good for kites between 9-12m só just perfect. There re normally some waves so a wave board is good here as well. In the end with a 30min drive you can then visit flat water spots ir purê wave spots. All you need is here.
