About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Quest113033005980 contributionsDo not use the waterpark restaurantWe have been here before a couple of years age and it is a very small water park with average slides they DO NOT ALLOW YOU TO BRING YOUR OWN FOOD IN the reason I put this in bold is because the price in the park cafe is EXTORTIONATELY EXPENSIVE a few bits of crappy supermarket pizza slices and a couple of tiny hot dogs with a drink for 3 of us was over 60 euros we could have got a very decent meal for that with alcohol drinks outside the park in one of the seafront restaurants so smuggle some crisps in your beach towels to save a fortune we felt like we had been robbed as no prices are displayed you only get the shock price at the till BE WARNED.Written November 29, 2024
- davidsI1395VH0 contributionsOk but not worth the moneyWe went last year and our two kids age 5 & 7 loved it. So we thought we’d try again this year. I’ve got to say it’s not the same experience, it’s looking very tired and in need of a refresh. It’s clean though just needs a repaint / freshen up. Food and Drink is expensive although you can leave and come back in again. Don’t think we’ll be returning.Written October 24, 2024
- Sherpa632215483990 contributionsSmall waterparkVery small waterpark. Probably best for younger children but my 3 teenagers loved the 5 big slides. We went at 2pm and got a discount (we paid €17 each) 3 hours is plenty of time for older children.Written October 23, 2024
- GO500 contributionsJust okWe visited here twice as it was next door to our hotel and entry was included for us. We had a 1 year old with us. The main toddler/younger child pool had the central activity cordoned off with tape with only the dump bucket working which was disappointing. The first time we went we hadn’t noticed we were sitting in line of some kind of hose pipe drain off so everything left on the floor was soaked with this. The parasols go very quickly as there aren’t that many. Oddly, if you wanted food or drink from the restaurant you couldn’t access it with uncovered swimwear so if you wanted just water you had to keep covering up. This is a pool side facility, not an enclosed restaurant so not sure this is necessary It was ok for an hour or two but think if we were paying we would probably have given it a missWritten October 21, 2024

- T7729JAlaurab0 contributionsGood morning outThe park is clean and well kept, there are 4 areas, the wave pool, we enjoyed the hourly waves, the kids pool, didnt really use this pool but had plenty of slides and a nice pool for smaller children. The lazy river, was slow, you had to swim round, not many inflatables. The slides, these were great, 2 slides you can use inflatables, i found there were more of these, you had to wait for one but not for long and people did use them and then returned them for others to use. The other 2 slides were great and then the ‘bowl’ slide was fab, my kids spent most of their time using this slide. The food was ok, good choices, plenty of seating. Facilities, the toilets were dirty, as you can imagine, wet paper towels everywhere, not well kept. Plenty of lockers on site and a shop. Over all was a good few hours out, we would return but will bring our own food next time!Written August 21, 2024
- aarich880 contributionsOk, nothing special. There's 5 decent slides, and a pretty woeful lazy river. The slides are good, however you need to get blow up tubes for a couple of them. There's zero policing by the lifeguards and not enough tubes for everyone.... People don't hand them over and you find yourself in a free for all trying to grab a tube off someone that just came down. We got there early (as it opened) and went on the slides that required tubes before it got busy, I'd recommend this. We spent a maximum of 2 hours in this park. Once we'd been on the slides there wasn't much else to do. We had a 13 and 10 year old with us who both got pretty bored.... It'd be ok with younger children perhaps 6-9 but there's a minimum height limit on all the big slides (it's the same for them all).Written August 13, 2024
- jimmyj8030 contributionsNeeds more inflatables for slidesBeen here a few times over the years. This year noticed there was a real shortage of inflatables/rubber rings to go down the slides. It’s not much fun standing at the bottom each time waiting for an inflatable to become free. It’s obviously an issue as a life guard had to stand there every so often and ask people to share the inflatables. There are other slides which don’t need them but the best slides are those with inflatables. For the cost you’d not expect to have to stand about every time you go down the slide begging for an inflatable/rubber ring.Written July 26, 2024

Mind the Seats before seating!! esp Children!!!we visited here a month ago from Relaxia Lanzasur Club In our second day of visit to Lanzasur we came this Aquapark but ended with a drama!! The food was pretty good for buffet service but you have to pay extra for a decent cocktail. - iansG4870OG0 contributionsOvercrowded, not enough inflatables, half the park not working. Rip off.We visited as a family of four on April 4th. Small overcrowded waterpark. Not enough inflatables for the slides or lazy river, of the inflatables they did have most, were flat. The wave pool only has waves once every 60 minutes and they don't last very long. The park opened at 10am, by 10:45am the entire kids' splash zone and all the small slides stopped working with the lifeguards ordering everyone to exit that area. They were still not working by the time we left mid-afternoon, kids had started to use it as a climbing frame by that point instead. Only a single lifeguard policing the platform where all 5 slides start.Written April 7, 2024

We stayed in Playa Blanca and decided one afternoon to visit Aqua Lava with our 5 yr old twins. This because the Tourist Information had told us that the park is quite new and very suitable for smaller kids. When we called to check the opening hours we where told that there is a reduced rate for the time from 15 to 17h. Perfect!
What they don't tell you that they close the pools at 16:45 and you have to walk out latest 17h... already 16:30 the personnel starts to clean up things and you feel a pressure to leave. It might be technically true that the pools are 'heated', but the experience is just that the water is cold. Annoying was the fact that I was not allowed to keep my special sport sunglasses with correction on when using the slides - this although I don't see a thing without glasses? All watches, bracelets have to be removed and for this purpose they rent our lockers which cost you 4 Euros on top of the entrance fee.
The lazy river is close to boring, the slides are a good experience. All in all I will not visit Aqua Lava again I am afraid.

Having read other 'reviews' on here regarding Aqualava, it's safe to say me and my partner's expectations were not high heading into the trip.
This establishment is tentatively defined a 'Water Park', as it is quite small - but certainly packs in enough for couples/families to enjoy a good half day.
The 5x slides vary in 'thrill' rating, with two of these requiring riders to take the plunge in either a single or double rubber ring. The Aqua Tube was my personal favourite! There is of course a minimum height restriction for these, so don't expect to go on very much if you have very small children. The lazy river is also fun for those wanting to soak up to rays at a slow cruise speed (beware waterfall sections!).
We were based at a Relaxia resort on the other side of Lanzarote Island (Relaxia Olivina), so enjoyed a reduced entrance fee, free coach transfers and complimentary food as part of our trip. This was probably the deal breaker for us in terms of value for money - as I can imagine normal entry fees + travel + refreshments could rack up a small fortune for larger families. The food was however quite nice, with a moderate selection.
This time of year (March) is also fairly quiet for the Canary Islands, so visitors can expect to get on everything without much queuing. The weather was perfect for our visit, and the water was NOT cold. It was probably actually about 20-25°c in places, but some people's perception of water temperature vs. outside temperature may need a lookover.
We enjoyed it; can understand why others didn't. I guess you'll have to decide for yourself!

The park is good fun for a group of friends! We went as 7 people ages 19-20 and quite enjoyed ourselves! The slides were good fun however some hurt our backs because of the panelling. The aqua bowl was the only slide we wouldn’t recommend as it really ripped our backs up so no one went on that again! The lazy river was good but just slightly too slow but we still had a laugh! The wave pool was brilliant and is on every hour :) The water is extremely salty so be aware of that lol! They have toilets and showers for use along with lockers (€4 per locker with €2 deposit) The restaurant was fairly priced but did have a lack of veggie options since they had ran out of the vegan nuggets :( We also went during happy hour (cocktails 2 for €5) but wouldn’t recommend these as they were so watered down that they just tasted like weak squash :( However it was a good day out and we all agreed that the tickets €20 each was just about worth it. The park wasn’t busy (16.09.22) however so if we would have had to wait to go on the rides I think this would have changed our minds…

I would not recommend this park in a million years, they actually have a cheek to advertise it as a water park, I've seen hotels with more facilities.
For a start it actually advertises "not to worry about feeling cold" as the pools are heated. This lulls you into a false sense of illusion that even on a cooler day you can enjoy the pools. No, not the case, the pools are freezing and do not feel any warmer than the non heated hotel pools.
We paid 80 euros to get in, got a locker, changed the kids and set out some chairs, tested the water and it made my blood boil for the wrong reasons, every body of water on the place was freezing, so we trundled back to reception after 15/20 minutes to request a refund, the "manager" said the pools were heated and therefore my complaint was invalid. Even though we had not used a single one of their so called attractions. It's tiny, cold and tired. The lazy River barely even moves you along and I regret spending a single euro on a place like this that thrives on ripping innocent families off. We spoke to 2 individuals and both claimed they were managers. The place reeks of money grabbers and the attitude towards us was below unsatisfactory.

Dear Yvonne,
Like we said for others comunication ways, sorry for your perception and feeling. Our pools were heated like your husband checked with our manager of the day and technical services and even we have more people inside the park enjoying.
We apologise if Aqualava was not that you expected and send to you our best regards

Went to aqua lava with my wife and daughter in Feb 2020. Entry fee was quite expensive £60 for three of us (all day pass as later discovered there was no way you could stay there all day). Water was freezing cold and was pitched as heated, overprice food, very little space for a water park. After 25 minutes there we decided to ask for our money back and leave but manager told us there is no way we will get our money back and claim that everything was working. Never mind false advertising and complete lack of respect for the customer. We had to dispute this transaction with our bank and we hope for a full refund. Don’t get fooled this place is a scam!

Spent 5 hours there. The four kids had a ball. Age 7 9 10 & 12. So for them I’d have given 4 stars. Reasons for only 3 stars, no order to the inflatables for the main slides. Being able to obtain one basically came down to people’s common decency to give them up as they left the water and wait for another turn. Sadly far too many didn’t give a hoot and selfishly just held onto them continuously. They needed a marshal in that area to monitor.
Secondly the park seemed very dirty in the afternoon. We all know Lanzarote is windy and rubbish from the bins and the cafe was all over the floor, paper cups and wrappers made its way to the pools. All afternoon this bothered me, fishing out litter here and there around me, mainly in the big pool for the smaller kids where I spent a lot of time with my youngest, but also on the footpaths. not one member of staff walking round to pick up litter that I could see. Even the lifeguards walked past numerous times without picking up trash.
Last negative was the food. 3 chicken burgers, 4 small fries, 1 salad and 4 drinks £46 euros. We only ate the chips, the salad burgers were jelly like processed meat. Happy to pay the price for decent food, and wasn’t expecting wonders but decent this was not. Self serve meant food was all over the floor of the canteen so we were treading on chips and cucumbers etc, again just needed a member of cleaning staff to do the rounds….
As a grown up those were the things that bothered me, but the kids really enjoyed the rides, all but the 7 year old had freedom to keep going up and down on the big rides without us in the end which they loved (watchful eye from us at the bottom). Lifeguards showed caution with my 7 year old communicating on walky-talky to those at the bottom when he was on his way down, just under the necessary height for one of the slides and needed a swim test and an adult to ride first at all times so was impressed with this.
If the park could employ a couple more staff for inflatables and cleaning then our day would have been much better. Maybe they are just getting back on their feet after Covid so maybe staff not at full capacity…. Who knows. Still absolutely worth a visit. What we didn’t realise is that if you go at 3pm you can get in for half price! Great if you fancy a return visit!

Aqualava is not quite the awesome waterpark we expected but it’s ok for kids albeit quite small. It has a wave pool, 5 flumes, a lazy river and a kids area with steps and short slides which my 6 and 8 year olds tired of after about 10 mins. The lazy river was the biggest hit with my kids.
If you come by the free shuttle bus you’re kind of trapped until it leaves again. On entry your bags are thoroughly checked for food and drinks. All you can bring in is water and anything else is confiscated. We paid about €45 for food and drinks while there for 2 adults and 2 kids. Food was ok and reasonably good portions but only one small cafe that was heaving by 12.30. There is also a snack bar but it charges €3 for a bag of crisps or mini pack of Oreo’s.
There is no specific changing area but there are some grubby run down showers where you can change. There are lots of seats available and a fair bit of shade.
I definitely wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend unless you have young children. Ours found it a bit unimpressive but had a fun couple of hours then moaned until the bus finally came!

Bit dubious going here based on the reviews but all the family absolutely loved it. I've been to big water parks in Disney and no it isn't going to compete any time soon with the likes of them but for what it is I couldn't fault it.
Kids loved the splash area and the wave pool, lazy river was fun, yes its extremely slow (even for a lazy river) but you make the best of it and again we all loved it.
We had lunch here and for food in a tourist attraction like this, it was reasonably priced if not a little chaotic trying to order.
Will definitely return while the kids are young but probably won't when they are teenagers.

Great small water park for young children. There are 5 slides for teens and adults but better for younger kids.
Clean and well laid out and there is a wave pool too. Seats are really low though and you cannot take your own food and drink in and you can only have them at the cafe

Really slippery everywhere. Not sure what geothermal source is heating the pools because they are freezing. Children under 1.20 metres can't go on any flume which is ridiculous considering they can in all other water parks in the world. Food taken from you on entry leaving you the option of poor fatty, unhealthy selection for expensive prices in their own restaurant. Unclean in places. Buses have no air conditioning, broken seats and seatbelts and generally filthy. We left after 45 minutes and walked to the beach much more pleasant. Family live on Lanzarote but we won't be returning.

Dear visitor,
sorry for your perception of the park but we think is far of reallity. children under 1.20m can use kids slides, lazy river and wave pool. We dont know about other parks but we just follow the recomdattion of the makers of the slides for keep the safe. The pools ae heated around 22-23 degrees but you have to take account htat in winter time your body feeling is cold when your body is not totally inside of the water.
In our restaurant we have many options for all taste. of course you will find fast food tipical in this places but also salads, fruit, meat at grill, gluten free options... Maybe you only have to look better or ask to the staff.
We are really sorry that you didn't enjoyed our facilities and we hope that your family are getting a great time in Lanzarote

I don't think so. However they do give them out for free, they just leave them around the water park on sun loungers etc so we just picked them up there. Hope this helps
