      A can’t miss experience!!!
I could not recommend this experience enough!!! Making pasta from scratch with Italian Nonna Lalla in the Roman countryside is a can’t miss thing to do. Making pasta, grandma Lalla cooking what you made with her sauces and eating lunch with the rolling hills as a backdrop to a perfect afternoon will ensure a magical experience with the family or on your own. Betta will ensure transportation to and from Palombara Sabina by train and shuttle, and give you lay of the land with short tour of town. Perfect afternoon with perfect hosts!

      Best Experience of our Vacation!
We spent a week in Rome and this was our favorite experience by far! Chiara was a wonderful host. She booked the train passage for us and emailed us the night before making transportation very easy. She was at the train station to greet us and she, her cousin Valeria and husband Enrico drove us to the town of Palombara. As we walked to the cooking space, Chiara gave a tour of background of her town which was wonderful. We love learning about history and learning about the history of this town and its castle was great. We were the first group to use the new space they'd set up. It used to be the area where people in the town would come to get wine pressed and her family had owned it for 6 generations. It was very beautifully decorated - it was cool to see the old wine press and the wine cellar. They served local wine and bruschetta before pasta making. Making the pasta was a wonderful experience. Chiara and Valeria were great hostesses as were the two grandmas that we got to work with. They were good teachers, very kind and instructive. We laughed and learned how to make ravioli, cannelloni and fettuccine. After the pasta making we got to sit down and eat together which was so much fun. We enjoyed eating and chatting. Nonna even made cake since it was the first day in the new space and she shared the recipe with us! The area where Palombara is in is Sabina which is known for its olive oil which you can buy from them - a great souvenir (100ml - carry on friendly)! We can't recommend this experience enough. A great glimpse into Italian life outside Rome. Great hosts, wonderful food, beautiful setting! Don't miss out!

It's not only about learning how to make pasta with an expert nonna, it's about being welcomed in a pretty and ancient village outside Rome by an entire family, sharing love, traditions and laughs. The pasta we made was incredible, I went with my boyfriend who is gluten intolerant, and the nonna had bought some gluten-free pasta just for him so that he could eat with us after having prepared the pasta together. More than recommendable, basically a must!

Fun experience with 2 Nonna’s and their out-going, super nice granddaughter, learning how to cook 3 types of pastas! My wife and I now how some new + delicious recipes to try when we’re back home. It was all very relaxed and friendly as well, with lots of laughs and lots of yummy food!

The experience was simply amazing! We felt like family from the moment we walked through the door. It was like going to grandma’s house and celebrating life with the whole family — making delicious food, sharing wine, and laughing together. Can’t wait to get the recipes!
