About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- gel2770 contributionsMoon valley - alternative tourPoor weather conditions closed the moon valley park (part of the intrigue of a desert vacation is its unpredictability) so I took the alternative tour offered by the company. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the atacama region's history and geology, it was a pleasure learning from him! He gave us great travel tips for the area and took us to an unforgettable spot to watch the sunset as a close to our tour.Written August 25, 2024
- zsoltr4860 contributionsBook it locally with the agency instead of pay for Viator (or the agency in contract with Viator)The tour itself is amazing and the organization by the local agency was fantastic! BUT if you book it directly with the local agency instead of Viator, the price is 1/3rd of the price Viator asked for! So you can save 2/3 of the money if you go directly to the local agency and book the tour there! 2/3rd margin is sorry but what do you think about yourself??? It is a theft!!!Written April 28, 2024
- spiderj20190 contributionsGreat tour. Great guide.Very cool tour of some incredible landscape. Friendly and knowledgeable guide. Meeting point easy to find. Great way to spend an afternoon. Highly recommend.Written April 13, 2024
- Bethany S0 contributionsLife changingPhillipe was our tour guide and we had the MOST amazing time. This was the hilihht of our time in Chile. I wish we had been able to stay longer in Atacama. I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to learn more about the Atacama desert. Truly life changing.Written April 7, 2024
- ceciliaschneider0 contributionsParks without a TourAll of the parks and reserves around San Pedro have entrance fees. You must get your tickets online and before you go. Try to do this in an area with good internet as many places in the area have poor connectivity. They have many choices of prices (age sensitive). We were told that you could only pay online, but after being unable to do so we set out anyway and were able to pay with credit card and help from the entrance attendant. Normally they do not like to do this but you can try to insist. They only accept cards, not cash, in our case. Do your homework ahead of time. And always carry a lot of water. All places provide bathrooms.Written March 13, 2024
- carlyk5420 contributionsWonderful experience ✨Amazing tour guide! Very friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. We got to experience some amazing hikes, views, and memories to last a lifetime! 10/10 recommendWritten February 10, 2024
- mateofficial0 contributionsAn amazing trip in the Atacama desertI really enjoyed the trip, actually this was the easiest with the option to swim in one of the salty lagoons. Our guide, Renata was truly amazing, highly recommended!Written January 18, 2024
- Carlos Alberto S0 contributionsNever again. Unpleasant. Uncomfortable. Not worth it. Caracoles Street has a lot better options. In a van with no AC in such heat can be rather difficult. Driver so unpleasant and rude. He went crazy on a guy because he stepped out of the pathway and that would damage the park. I understand and agree we shouldn’t affect the environment when visiting but that was way over board. When it came to the Whipala or something like that (company doing the tour) they harassed me for money to pay the entry to the park in cash. They sent me texts and it was so unneeded and ouch, why can’t we all just make money with honesty? The van and the driver/guide were not as bad as this agency. I wish I had booked my tickets at Caracoles street there are so many agencies and they are all kinds of people there selling all kinds of tour. Lesson learned for me. Never again.Written December 23, 2023
- Go331352830010 contributionsFascinatingGuide Alex was very knowledgeable, not only about the desert and minerals, but Chilean history and anything else we could think to ask him. Fascinating landscape, interesting history, beautiful experience.Written November 28, 2023
- Christopher H0 contributionsMagical Valle de la LunaThe office staff were friendly and helpful making sure I had all my tickets and knew when and where to go. Our driver (Alexander) was friendly, informative and gave us plenty of time to take in the views. Really nice to be unhurried. Valle de la Luna itself was magical! A truly otherworldly place. Absolutely stunning landscapes and a must for anyone coming to the Atacama.Written November 26, 2023
- HeathersCompass0 contributionsAmazing experience in AtacamaAbsolutely loved this tour with Ernesto, our incredible guide. He went out of his way to make everyone feel welcome and cared for, and we had a great group. The communication leadinf up to the tour was excellent - very clear instructions via WhatsApp, including the exact pickup time. In addition to making us great meals, he shared information about the area as we drove about and at each stop. He's also an excellent photographer and shared group pics with everyone. The lagoons, flamingos, etc. were all excellent but Piedras Rojas was the highlight for me - unlike anywhere I've been. Wonderful tour, wonderful guide, highly recommend.Written November 22, 2023
- kimfromsandiego0 contributionsExcellent tour!Really enjoyed this tour and our guide Ernesto was outstanding. Interesting enjoyable and well-planned / organized. - 583mireyar0 contributionsMagical location, great tours!Samuel, Thiago, and Francisco were a great team! I greatly enjoyed the tour, the information on the geology added greatly to the appreciation of the scale of the moon valley. They ensured everyone was taken care of on the small but impressive hike and the booking agents were proactive about what you needed to bring along. They also were more than willing to take photos for solo and group travelers which I really appreciated!Written October 28, 2023

First of all: if you have the chance to go to Atacam, DO IT! It is such a unique experience, you do not want to miss it.
With this tour, it was easy. Clear and timely information about the tours, what to pack and where to be when. And Alex was a wonderful and helpful chauffeur and guide, and always translated everything to English to me when needed.
And for me, the most important part was that I felt I really could trust that they had everything handled and that I would get the best possible experience — especially given that I booked on such short notice (4 days before) and did not have time to research too much myself, this was critical. Also, their quick answers and communication in English was also really helpful!
I can only come up with a few suggestions for improvements, for the information about tours part.
1) I was not quite prepared for -15 at El Tatio, since I had only checked San Pedro temperatures (showed -2).
2) Mentions about toilets on tours missing, but don't worry, there are toilets every 2 hours or so. The air is so brutally dry that you will feel like needing to drink all the time (and also to avoid altitude sickness).
All in all, a wonderful experience and it was the highlight of my whole trip to Chile. Thank you for taking good care of us and making Atacama such a special experience!

Say Hueque Journeys did a great job organizing our two day "express" trip to the Atacama Desert and San Pedro de Atacama. We had a morning flight, transfers to the San Pedro, hotel reservation, afternoon/sunset tour to the Valley of the Moon, sunrise tour of Tatia Glaciers, then return transfers and flight. There were several changes to our schedule during the two days and Say Hueque did a great job of keeping us informed of all changes. We appreciated the champagne and wine as well! The guides were excellent and took us to great spots that we will never forget.

Dear BRDchelseafans,
Thanks for taking some time to write this review!
We are happy to hear that we were of help and that we met your expectations. Travelling can get messy and as locals we try to go further.
We hope you'll keep us in mind when coming back to South America!
Best regards,
Cecilia
