- Amy B0 contributionsGuide was fabulous! Our guide, Felix really took the extra time to show us the intricate forms of life and was great at explaining things. - V1595OEgraceh0 contributionsFantastic tree climbing fun! What a blast! Darnel and Junior were fantastic guides. They were very knowledgeable and supportive and encouraging. They were so patient and let me do all three routes up the tree. It was so beautiful to connect with this amazing specimen of a tree and I was thankful to have such great guides. I highly recommend doing this tour.Written July 20, 2024
- A6476VFlauraj0 contributionsBetter than expectedThis tour far exceeded our expectations. It was a great ride. The horses were well cared for and we got a bonus sugar cane tasting after the ride. Beautiful views.Written February 29, 2024
- Toveyyyy0 contributionsCultural immersion!Wow! What a beautiful experience this was! We thought it was going to be a cooking class, learning to prepare some of the local dishes, but it ended up being a complete cultural immersion! We were picked up at our Airbnb and taken in a very nice shuttle van into a smaller village a few kilometers from Monteverde. We arrived at a family farm and were immediately greeted by Maritsa and her family, and even a very friendly goat! We learned about the local area, viewed the wildlife and crops, visited the butterfly garden (wow!) and finished at the charming rustic kitchen, where we helped to prepare an amazing meal! Fany was wonderful as the head chef and Kevin was our expert guide (and translator when we needed it) throughout. Sindy was so cheerful and funny! We listened to music, peeled vegetables, squeezed sugar cane through a hand-cranked press, and cooked chicken, rice and tortillas over an open flame. We will never forget this experience!! We made some great new friends. If you have the chance, this is an absolute must and a fantastic tour company. Pura Vida!Written January 21, 2024
- OnAir1765040 contributionsExperts through the cloud Forest.Absolutely stunning park and you must go with a guide in order to see any animals and learn about the magnificent cloud forest. Our guide, Deiner, was a wealth of knowledge. He made the experience one we will remember. Highly recommend this expert travel group.Written December 21, 2023
- karenwF6696TI0 contributionsIt’s better with a GuideIt’s worth it to pay extra to tour the Forest with a guide. Ours showed and taught us things I would never have noticed or thought about. I appreciated having fewer people in the forest compared to Monte Verde.Written December 4, 2023
- Deborah E0 contributionsFantastico! One of the best tours on our trip to Costa Rica.We had a great experience with Sinwatour Dreams during our excursion in June 2023. The company picked us up from our lodging, provided snacks and drinks. They also offered walking sticks which were greatly appreciated. Our guided tour of the Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve with Eduardo was truly exceptional. Eduardo's extensive knowledge of the history, flora, and fauna of the area seems to have added a lot of value to the tour. He was such a well-informed guide that it made a huge difference in appreciating the natural beauty and biodiversity of such a unique place like the Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve Eduardo showed us so many plants and animals that we wouldn't have otherwise seen without his guidance demonstrates his expertise and dedication as a tour guide. Exploring hidden gems and lesser-known spots made this excursion truly memorable and enriching. The company went the extra mile to celebrate the 70th birthday of one of our group members. Thoughtful gestures like this showcase the company's commitment to customer satisfaction and creating lasting memories for their clients. We had an amazing experience exploring the Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve with Sinwatour Dreams, and Eduardo played a significant role in making it special.Written July 19, 2023
- bijandavari0 contributionsCloud forest beauty under light rainWe were expecting a rainy day. Nevertheless we decided to go on our tour as scheduled. The tour operators provided us with walking sticks to help prevent us from falling on slippery slopes. Guillermo, our guide, explained to us the difference between the two levels of the cloud forests. He showed us again the interaction of insects, fungi, and plants, helping each other’s evolution. He is observant of his surroundings & as a result, we were able to watch several monkeys & a few birds too. Such a memorable experience! We are now enjoying some amazing photos of the wildlife, courtesy of Wady the tour guide’s assistant.Written March 13, 2023
- bijandavari0 contributionsRelaxing and instructive walk in the forestAn instructive and relaxing experience in this unique kind of forest. Detailed description of the history and evolution of this forest by Guillermo made the tour so entertaining. Guillermo is very observant when walking us in the forest and spots examples of tree branches to describe how different plants, insects and fungi live in harmony and interaction for the natural evolution of the species. He also showed us a few birds. In addition, he was also mindful of my cardio behavior by frequently checking on me; good customer service.Written March 13, 2023
- skadventurer0 contributionsThey go above and beyondWe had a great guided tour of the Monteverde Cloud Forest with Eduardo. He knew so much about the history, flora and fauna of the area. He showed us so many plants and animals that we would not have seen had we not been with a knowledgeable guide. This company goes above and beyond. It was the birthday of one of our party and Eduardo and the company gave her a present. You can’t go wrong with a company that is so thoughtful.Written March 6, 2023
- Lauren E0 contributionsGreat serviceWe toured the Monteverde Cloud Forest with Guillermo. He was very familiar with the area & friendly with the other guides, which was really key to getting the most out of our time there. Both our guide & driver were very friendly. The transportation was exceptionally clean & had beverages and snacks available.Written March 1, 2023

- cindyjH9108SO0 contributionsMust do if you want to say you saw Costa RiceMy husband and I came to Costa Rica to celebrate or 50th wedding anniversary. We came to see natural beauty and amazing wildlife. On our walk into the Monteverde Cloud Forest with Juan today he provided both! Juan and his assistant showed us things you can not see with without experienced eyes. Juan spoke very good English and was so knowledgeable about everything around us. He had equipment to get up close to even the smallest of creatures. Juan also has amazing photo skills and took amazing pictures with my camera so I have fabulous memories of our time in the cloud forest. We highly recommend this experience!Written February 22, 2023
- aaliyah140 contributionsFairytaleIt was like walking into a fairytale in the middle of the cloud forest. Not an easy walk because the path is muddy but the surrounding is amazingWritten February 11, 2023
- AlisonFromFareham0 contributionsFun, fascinating and superbly well doneWe expected this tour to be enjoyable and informative, and it delivered beyond our hopes. So much fun! So well done! We had a fantastic time, learned so much about some of our favorite foods, and enjoyed every minute! It was a highlight of our stay in. Monteverde. First and foremost this is a family-run enterprise, and that pride and intimacy run through everything. Diego who showed us round is the owners’ son and his passion and knowledge are a delight. It’s a beautiful location to tour, with sweeping views and verdant coffee plantings, and we saw close up the traditional production of all three crops. We even got to make our own sugar-molasses candy! Much thought and care has gone into presenting this tour. Buildings are decorated with fun murals featuring indigenous farmers and historic scenes. The details of how these treasured tastes get from the field to our cup are well explained and fascinating. We were encouraged to smell and taste all the way through, finishing with a final delicious tasting of coffee and a savory specialty dish grown in their garden and cooked for us by Diego’s mom. Anyone who likes coffee and chocolate will be entertained, educated and delighted by this experience. Oh, and the gift shop offered their delicious products at very fair prices - we have been drinking the superior Trapiche coffee ever since we left and I am only sorry we didn’t buy way more than the five bags we came away with!Written February 5, 2023
