The tour begins with a walk in the rainforest looking for all kinds of birds, insects, and amphibians. Continuing the walk on the trails, you will come to the Canopy Bridge system section. This system consists of suspension bridges, built to U.S. engineering standards. The six sections total 250 meters, spanning from platforms attached to massive hardwood trees to create the most impressive Canopy Walk in Costa Rica. The design permits minimal forest impact, allowing our participants to explore the majesty of the forest canopy from a bird's eye view. As we continue the walk in the jungle you'll find the beautiful pristine river of the Rainmaker Park. Handrails and easy-to-follow footpaths along with observation platforms allow you to observe waterfalls and capture with photographs the rich biodiversity this unique site has to offer. Close to the end of the walk, a pristine waterfall pool will beckon you to enjoy a refreshing dip.

      Great night tour!
Brilliant tour, exceeded my expectations. The group size was only 5 so we all got to see everything very clearly. Armando was a great guide.. Very knowledgeable and really seemed pationate about what he did. Also seemed to really care about the animals and took pride in not disturbing them too much. He also took some incredible photos of the animals on his phone and shared them with us after!

Fantastic night tour with an amazing guide!
The Night Jungle Tour with Dinner at Rainmaker Park was fantastic. They provided transportation from and back to our hotel in Manuel Antonio which was very convenient. Armando, our Guide, was fantastic. He found all kinds of spiders, scorpions, lizards, snakes, millipedes, frogs and toads, walking sticks, and other insects. He explained their contributions to their ecosystem, behavior and how to tell their gender and age. He was extremely knowledgeable. And he took incredible photos and air dropped them so we had them at the end of the night. Dinner was delicious. Great experience. We highly recommend!

      Valuing the rain forest
Of course everyone wants to see the amazing nature scene of this protected rain forest…. So expect a crowd. Armando our guide was excellent and knowledgeable and managed to capture an up close view of a number of creatures. Mixing it up with a beach swim stop seemed a little disconnected to the thrill of seeing the inhabitants of the forest. It is important to know that you cannot bring, food, disposable beverages, or cigarettes of any kind into the sanctuary.

      Laid back tour
Peaceful and lovely tour, not a lot of variety to see. The lunch at a local restaurant was delightful! Guides and van drivers were great

      Night jungle hike!
I did the night jungle hike with Armando and it was such a cool experience! He was super knowledgeable about everything we saw and was able to find so many animals. The tour ended with an authentic dinner of Costa Rican foods that was cooked right there in the park!

Great tour at Manual Antonio Park
Our guide, Kenneth was amazing kind and patient. We were picked up at our hotel on time and entry to the park was easy. Kenneth found us birds and animals. Especially the a few target birds. He also helped me with my photography when I couldn't see the subject well. We enjoyed the jungle and beaches. We ended our tour with a sandwich, fruit and cold water! Very welcome.

Great, adventurous, and spooky night walk with many amazing animals and our very sympatic tour guide Enderson. Enderson was very polite and helpful and supported with getting some good quality pictures of the animals.

      Know before you go...
It was a cool experience overall, but I feel like the description is key to managing expectations. It's riding on gravel roads most of the time and there was one tiny waterfall (seen pictured) and one that is also small that you take a hike to get to after you are done on the ATVs and stand under to get cleaned up- but we were only given 5 mins as a group to do that. You Can't swim in it. The wildlife we saw was cows and horses on farms. You do go up into the mountains and stop for a drink and a break and the view is wonderful. However, be prepared to get VERY dirty and dusty due to the roads. At one point it was even hard to see the ATV's in front of you because the dust was so thick and I only had 3 ppl in front of me. Definitely pick a helmet with a visor or you will regret that decision very quickly. The food at the end was a nice touch and the guide was nice.

We had the most fantastic experience with Jose on this tour!! I traveled with my 6 year old daughter who normally is fearful of everything but Jose held her hand the entire time and build her confidence up so much, that by the need she was teasing me for being such a baby haha. He explained everything for the adults as well as her. We saw snakes, frogs, and all sorts of amazing creatures. He definitely made our trip and to top it off we had the waterfalls all to ourselves❤️. I couldn’t be more impressed with our adventures in CR! Jose you made a little girls dreams come true and I thank you! Till next time🤘🏼

We ended up participating in 3 tours with Jade Tours- The Bird Watching, The Rainmaker Park and Waterfalls Tour and Manuel Antonio National Park Tour. Each excursion exceeded our expectations. Every day was the best day! Their tour guides are so knowledgeable, interesting and attentive to detail. Our guide most days was Edgar, who loves nature and is enthusiastic, passionate, energetic about his country, his job and educating tourists,.We felt so fortunate to have him as our guide each time.
We recommend Jade Tours and will absolutely use them again next time we visit Quepos.( and I would request Edgar every time)

The Rainmaker Park tour really exceeded our expectations. First off, our guide Juan was excellent - very knowledgeable and took extra time to show us additional wildlife on the way to the park. Much appreciated! The hiking was excellent (true rainforest hiking), the hanging bridges were safe and a load of fun to cross, and the lunch offered was good as well. This was one of the highlights of our trip this year to Costa Rica.

My family and I had a fantastic and educational tour of the rainforest. Our guide Juan Campos was very very knowledgeable and had wonderful tidbits of information for us. This tour was one of our earlier tours on the trip and while we were most excited to get to the beach, this eco tour did not disappoint. Loved all the sights, sounds and smells. the authentic Costa Rica lunch after the tour was the delicious. I would highly recommend this tour and you must request Juan Campos for your guided trip.

The tour guide Daniel was great - very informed and very helpful. The park is beautiful and well cared for with plenty of interesting wild life. Transport to and from the park was timely and good. The trail was just under 5 km and took 2 hrs 15 mins. The hanging bridges were fun and gave a great perspective to the streams below. We really enjoyed bathing in the natural pool below the small waterfall. However, the food at the end of the walk was less than I expected for the price of the tour ( 80 dollars each) . It was basically beans and rice with small pieces of chicken and some sliced vegetables - no desert , but natural fruit juice was great!

My mother and I decided to do this tour, it’s was amazing.
My mother is 70 years old, Roy our tour guide made sure to walk slowly and answered all her questions, Roy was very knowledgeable about the animals and insects that were there(Rainmaker Forest).
Make sure to wear a bikini under your hike outfit, there is an incredible water fall in the middle of the hike, I highly recommend to cool yourself off there.
The tour was nice the hike was nice and easy I highly recommend Roy and this hike.

We initially planned on the morning guide, but ended up in the afternoon guide (started just after 12 I think) - and we are glad we did! Our guide, Edgar, is very knowledgable, funny and entertaining. His English is extremely good. He was patient with me even though I have a slightly weak left ankle and this is the first time I have hiked in a while. Though the area is not very dangerous, he did make sure we knew of any poisonous frogs or insects. I got bitten by and ant and it was a little uncomfortable and red so he sprayed vinegar to neutralize it if it was dangerous (it's fine)! As for the rainmaker, it was absolutely amazing - though we didn't see as much wildlife as expected.Perhaps that's due to the time we went. Edgar did help us spot some birds though. For me, the environment and hanging bridges stood out the most though the small waterfall was nice too. Enjoy Costa Rica!

We booked this adventure through Jade Tours and had a wonderful time! Our guide was Eduardo and he was absolutely amazing! We were in awe how he could find some of the little creatures in the forest and his knowledge of each species was fantastic. We saw several species of frogs/toads, lizards, insects, and even an eyelash pit viper (from a safe distance)! The beauty of the rainforest was all around and the dip in a refreshing waterfall pool was phenomenal! Moderate exertion, good walking shoes and water shoes recommended. Had a lovely Costa Rican lunch in the park afterwards. We thought so highly of Eduardo we requested him again for our tour of Manuel Antonio park the next day and he once again did not disappoint (see separate review). Thanks again Eduardo and Jade Tours!

Really beautiful view of the forest— it was pouring when we were there, so we didn’t see as much wildlife and were a little rushed because of the lightning. The guide was knowledgeable but was hard to hear what he pointed out if we were at the back of the group. Wonderful lunch at the end.

Outstanding activity. The van picked us up at our hotel (La Maiposa) and drove us to Rainmaker (45 mins). We did a hike through a jungle and looked for creatures and then we went up several elevation gains with amazing hanging bridges up to the top of the waterfall system. On the way back we stopped at several waterfall pools and swam/played around. We were able to jump into one of them, but the landing is too shallow for anyone over 6 feet. Our guide Edgar was amazing and had a wealth of information to share about Costa Rica and the wildlife/eco system we were in.

When we returned we purchased a delicious home-cooked lunch ($7 USD per person). I would live to do it again.

PS: we also did the night jungle tour a couple night prior and it was also amazing!
