Scenic 4 hour train ride through the hilly area of Sri Lanka, doors left open at the end of the carriages to allow unimpeded views of the countryside, they would have a fit in the UK! We travelled 1st class (air conditioned) the whole train seemed busy so book in advance.

Really good tour. The guide/driver was really nice and experienced. We saw pretty much every animal you can see there (exept leopards, they are hard to spot) Thank you!

I have mostly used the train traveling around Sri Lanka but the trip between Kandy and Anuradhapura (with connection) would have used up a valuable day. Lakpura arranged a driver who made the trip in 3 hrs (very safe driving) with hotel to hotel pick up and drop off. Cost-efficient and professional. We had a wonderful safari seeing many many beautiful birds as well as elephants, crocodiles, water buffalo, deer and wild pigs. Our driver Darmasiri was very friendly and knowledgeable and did a great job to make sure our trip was great. He arrived on time and ensured we saw the sunset over the lake too. One of our best times in Sri Lanka

The trainride is definitely worth it and a must-do if you visit Sri Lanka. We had reserved 2nd class tickets. The doors were opened regularly to make instragrammable pictures.

Great service. The assigned driver was on time (even a bit early), and made my transit back to the airport easy and seamless.

The organisation and the transfer itself went really smooth. Our driver picked us up at the airport in time. On arrival he gave US enough am SIM Card and to withdraw money at the ATM. During the drive, he stopped for example as we asked for buying water.

Kani drove us to the park and he was fabulous. Janaka was our safari driver and he was excellent. Janaka could spot wildlife, especially birds, which enhanced our experience. The elephants were fun to watch. They are much smaller than African elephants, so we got really close to them. Lots of fun! Be ready for a bumpy ride.

We booked this trip for 2 pax in reserved seating in second class prior to our trip to Sri Lanka. Despite the booking being paid for and confirmed, a number of weeks later they asked for additional information to purchase the tickets. When this was further explored, despite confirming the booking they did not have tickets and then were not able to get them stating the train trip is popular. They then tried to sell tickets to a later train for the same price.
