      Wonderful local cycling tour
We had a leisurely and fascinating cycling tour through the rice paddies and back lanes of Unawatuna. There were lots of stops to learn about local plants and animals, see how coconut husks are processed, enjoy a refreshing coconut milk break and more. It’s wonderful to learn more about the diversity of activities in the region.

      Impressive back country cycling
We had an amazing morning cycling through the back country with some very nice stops with interesting explanations and impressive plants. The mountainbikes were a bit uncomfortable, but then again we are nut used to that position on a bike.

      Brilliant guide, brilliant tour
Amazing tour. Chameera was an excellent guide who was able to bring us to the local parts of Galle and the Dutch fort, sharing his knowledge of the area and the country along the way. He bought us several local snacks and drinks along the way and it was great fun trying traditional Sri Lankan street food. If you want to learn more about the fort and its surroundings just book this tour.

      Top notch
Fabulous day guided by Chameera who was very knowledgeable of the history of the fort and made us feel very safe amidst the lunatic Sri Lanka drivers, all of whom were very considerate of a pair of English cyclists. Highly recommended trip.

      A great afternoon
A really enjoyable afternoon exploring the countryside near Unawatuna. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and the scenery is beautiful. We saw plenty of wildlife, including birds and monitor lizards, as well as visiting some interesting local sites. Would highly recommend if you’re in Galle or Unawatuna and have an afternoon to spare.

A good way to see things off the beaten path
A terrific way to see the back roads and to learn about plants, and animals. We toured a rope making facility from coconut husk to finished product and toured a factory where all materials were hand woven. A pleasant and informative ride

Woodoo, leeches, waterfalls and local curry
Quite an experience. We biked through the village roads toward the tea plantation farm, where we were served fresh coconut. A super friendly local family living the agricultural live of their ancestors. And guess what, a woodoo doctor was visiting with all his oils and techniques he learned from his old predecessor. From there we hiked through a leech wood, dressed in knee high socks to prevent them from reaching our skin. Adventurous, but the highlight of the hike was when we came to this oasis of cold river flushing through several small waterfalls. It was time for a bath. A very welcome bath before we headed back for the most delicious curry meal, prepared in a kitchen from at least two centuries ago. Thank you Chameera Bike for job well done!

Best way to see The Fort
So much more than just a cycle tour of the fort. This easy cycle covered the local area and sights from the markets, promenade, beach, drink and snack at a local place where we had Falooda and egg rolls. Really informative guide and we criss crossed the small streets of The Fort easily on our bikes- it was a super hot day and if on foot it would of been too exhausting. Highly recommend 😊🚲😊

Cycle away exploring the city !!
Truly amazing experience to explore city's attraction via cycling tours organised by Chameera's team. I even happen to rent the bike to explore rest of the city. Highly recommended for someone looking for offbeat travel.

Great half day cycling tour of authentic Sri Lanka.
Wow, what a great morning riding arround and checking out authentic Sri Lanka. The hostel and bike tour owner made us feel very welcome and the tour guide taught us about the lagoon eco system, coconut fibre rope manufacture and cotton weaving. Highly recommended for a easy ride. Mid October 2023 was very warm. Thanks Cav :-)

      A lovely afternoon in Udawatuna…
We spent a charming three hours on a family ride with Chameera around the local countryside. His deep knowledge of the area gave us a great insight into the local flora and fauna and a sombre understanding of the horrors wreaked locally by the Tsunami. Simple, reliable bikes, flat terrain an engaging guide and some interesting diversions including a coconut mill and rope factory! All in all, a wonderful way to spend an afternoon in Udawatuna! Thoroughly recommended!

      See the real Sri Lanka
Fantastic afternoon cycling around the lagoons. Our guide was friendly and helpful and considered everyone in the group. The coconut factory and weaving cooperative were great to see. Saw different animals and produce from different trees and tasted fantastic food and drink on the way. Our guide really looked after us well. Highly recommend this.
