Plenty of places to eat overlooking the waterfront, likewsie seating along the front to just sit in the shade and people watch!Written August 23, 2015
- LordHafod0 contributionsVery HelpfulGarda Landing should not be confused with Gardaland the theme park. Garda Landing is an organisation that offers advice, organises trips and is very useful in getting the most out of your holiday. Their office is near the harbour, clearly marked with the tourist information logo. I did quite a bit of research prior to going, and used their services to check my itinery and for advice. They sell trips but are not pushy . In particular I was looking forward to visiting Verona, explained my plans and they offered great advice, to allow me to get the most out of my time. Subsequently I revisited to confirm arrangements and also to buy bus tickets. They distribute an excellent free magazine called Buongiorno. I found this a great asset, as it had maps, bus and ferry timetables which all you needed to plan your day. I cut out the city maps and marked them up to help with my visit. Not a bad idea to photograph them with your i phone, which is easy to keep with you. Definitely one of the best information centres I have visited, good advice. Special mention to Tom, who was from Verona who gave reaaly great tips.Written July 5, 2015

We've just spent the day on a Gardalanding guided tour of Venice and it was excellent. We bought tickets from the tourist info office in Peschiera Del Garda (also excellent, the ladies were very helpful), the bus arrived slightly before our pickup time at Gardaland but would have waited for us. From the moment Thomas greeted us we felt welcome and looked after, and this continued throughout the day. The advice was useful and the commentary was funny even though the jokes were repeated in 2 languages every time! Thomas was really organised, clearly a professional who knows exactly what he's doing, and Mateo (the most stylish bus driver we'd ever seen) drove us safely and smoothly there and back. The day is great value, it included transport via bus and boat right up to piazzo San marco and a guided walking tour followed by enough time for a wander around Venice. A second boat trip into the lagoon cost extra but well worth it, as it was also narrated by Thomas. I'll definitely use this company again if I'm in the area. Thanks!

I would highly recommend this walk. Excellent guide and very informative. Sadly I was the only participant on this walk. It was a hot day and not suitable for physically impaired people.

A less busy walk along the canal from near the Old City entrance to town center. There is however otherwise little to see along the way.

From Verona Recommendation to take a regional train and forget the Frecciarossa (negative experience caused by an inexperienced young train conductor and I stop here).
I visited Peschiera del Garda in the day nothing compared to Sirmione
Anyway, average.

Il giro finisce in piazza ferdinando di Savoia?
Quindi per dirla breve c'è la visita guidata alla fortezza e basta?
Grazie
