- bettylU8743YW0 contributionsNice guideGreat experience and very nice guide. Rhodes is quite beautiful and perhaps my favorite of the islands we visited probably because of its greenery.Written November 10, 2024

- 895joannee0 contributionsGetting to know RhodesWe had a wonderful, fascinating and fun day out. Thank you so much. Our driver was incredibly skilled in driving through the mountain roads. We felt safe at all times. His quiet calm manner was very appreciated. Our lady tour guide was very knowledgable, patient, funny and a pleasure to spend time with. The trip was very well designed - so we were able to see places we would not have been able to see via public transport. The lunch negotited for us was excellent value and very tasty. It was a fantastic and very memirable day.Written October 28, 2024

- jackcV9672IU0 contributionsReally great experience with ManosGoingBig thank you to everybody at ManosGoing. I booked 4 trips on my recent week in Rhodes and enjoyed them all. As a solo traveller it's nice to have something new and exciting to do each day. I did the Lindos Cruise, the day trip to Symi, the 7 springs and butterfly valley and the Kamiros trip. Kamiros and the old church, the ruined castle in Kritinia, the fish in the fountain, the lunch and everything on this trip was super interesting and by far the best thing I did all week. Antonis (probably getting these names wrong lol) is a super safe and friendly driver and Katerina really is wonderful. Her incites into just about everything throughout the day really made it a standout experience. She talked at length about not just the history and origins of places and names but also local politics, the wild fires (I found her description of what really happened quite emotional and also uplifting at how everyone banded together - so different from just seeing it on the news, she really explained it on a human level and made it real.) ,..... all sorts. Literally everything we asked her, she knew, even the names of flowers any the origins of those names. Everything she told us was interesting and she talked for about 6 hours without missing a beat or forgetting anything. All my trips were good ands good value and all ran exactly to schedule. Also thank you to Manos himself for turning the aircon down in the bus for me on the 7 springs trip. It was drying my throat out and making me cough - it turned out that I was developing a cold anyway but I didn't know that at the time. I can't recommend ManosGoing enough. I'm so glad I booked my activities with them. I wish I had booked more now - like the scuba diving. Why didn't I do that on my last day? Baaaa too late now I'm back in rainy England.Written October 25, 2024
- FreakinSweet0 contributionsGreat trip out to see more of the islandWe had a pickup near to our hotel in Rhodes Town and after the driver checked our names off the list we were on our way. Our knowledgeable and friendly guide joined the bus shortly after we got on and gave us such a great tour, not only at the sites we visited, but she also talked about the history and geography of the island past and present. Our guide gave short talks at every site we visited and then you were free to roam on your own before you had to return to the bus. The bus was comfortable and had air conditioning and we had a stop for lunch in Embonas. If I visit Rhodes again, I will definitely consider taking another day trip with this company.Written October 24, 2024
- Lynne B0 contributionsWell worth a visitSymi is very picturesque with it's houses of different colours clustered on the hillside. I was travelling alone and walk with a crutch. The staff on the boat could not have been more helpful. One lady in particular found me a safe place to sit where I was close to the toilet, didn't have far to get off the boat, didn't have any steps to negotiate, and still had a chance to look at the scenery, providing no one stood in front of me. All together a very enjoyable day I would recommend to anyone.Written October 23, 2024
- G3352NBmichaell0 contributionsBeautiful Sightseeing Tour of Rhodes with NikosOur family of 7 (5 adults and 2 preteen girls) had a wonderful time doing the Classic Rhodes Sightseeing private tour as a cruise shore excursion. Our driver Nikos picked us up in a luxurious and comfortable Mercedes minibus/van. Our group really wanted to go somewhere to swim and snorkel, and Nikos accommodated us fantastically. He took us first to the Kallithea Springs, where we had breathtaking views. We then went to St. Paul's Bay in Lindos. Nikos dropped us off directly there, where we swam/snorkeled for about an hour, then Nikos picked us up and drove us to the drop off point to walk around the rest of Lindos. He then picked us up and drove us to Rhodes, where we stopped for some beautiful views of the Aegean Sea. Our tour ended just outside the cruise port, where we could go souvenir shopping afterwards. All in all, Nikos was a fantastic driver who made the tour fun and interesting. He truly customized the tour and gave us a wonderful experience in Rhodes. If we come back, we would absolutely tour with ManosGoing again. They were always super responsive and professional in all our email communications before. We highly recommend ManosGoing and Nikos!Written October 23, 2024

We had to change our tour date at the last minute and they were fantastic at re-arranging for us. The tour itself was wonderful. We had a great tour driver - Nikos. He was very personable and made us all feel at ease. He really knew Rhodes, shared stories, information on Greek culture and history along the way. We had a great day out and fully recommend the team from Manos Going and of course Nikos. We will go back to Malaysia and share their details with everyone.Written October 22, 2024

- Z2054ARjackw0 contributionsLindos in the evening… Amazing! The trip to Lindos was amazing! We were lucky enough to have the owner of the company be our driver/guide on the way to Lindos. He let us know some facts about the island of Rhodes and the surrounding islands. No shortage of places to eat with a view in Lindos. Had a lovely meal at Timi’s Place which had a brilliant view of the village in the evening. The 3hrs was more than enough time for me and my girlfriend to experience Lindos and would definitely recommend this trip for anyone interested!Written October 19, 2024

We did a private tour with Manuel as our driver and Lefty as our guide. They were very knowledgeable and engaging. My teens enjoyed learning about the culture and history. I highly recommend them and if you can get both the driver and your guide, it is well worth it. We loved Lindos and learning about the pottery in the area. We were able to take some breath taking family pics.

5* for transport 3* for Lindos!
The pick up was smooth and easy to find from just outside our hotel in Faliraki. We were the last pick up with a journey time straight to Lindos of about 40 mins. Lindos is without a doubt stunning with the highlight of the Acropolis. HOWEVER, you do not need to be here for 4 hours. This excursion drops you off in Lindos for 4 hours. You’ll be twiddling your thumbs after 2.5-3 hours. There’s nothing to do there other than to see the Acropolis and eat and drink (beach/bay visits if you wish also) but if you’re using this method of transport just to see the Acropolis, whilst taxi is more expensive you’ll have less time on your hands. We won’t be back to Lindos and really recommend this excursion be reduced to 3 hours max. Air conditioned bus and pleasant enough journey with a quick stop for a photo opportunity on the way back. Much more to see and do in Rhodes Old Town.

If you’re coming to rhodes I highly recommended booking your trips around the island with manos and his team! Extremely professional service from booking right to the end of our trip. We stumbled across his shop in Ixia (we stayed at the belair beach so about a 5 min walk away) where you can purchase the trips. Manos is clearly very passionate about his job and gave us all the information we could have needed to make our trip to the beautiful Lindos the best it could have been. We were picked up on time, by a clean modern well air conditioned bus. Throughout our journey manos told us some history about the island and the areas which we passed through. Just before reaching Lindos we stopped off at a very scenic viewpoint to grab some snaps of Lindos and the bay. We highly recommended if you want to visit the acropolis that you do this first thing as it gets very hot! However it’s definitely worth the hike up. We were also pleasantly surprised to find that entry was free for myself and my boyfriend as we are under 25 (need ID for proof). The main beach is also a must visit with crystal clear still water with the best views. Overall it was a fantastic day out with extremely friendly and personal service from Manos and his team to get us there and back. If we visit rhodes again in the future we will be sure to book again with Manos going :)

Great day, comfortable, clean, air-conditioned coach driven by Manos. Lots of interesting facts about Lindos and the surrounding area provided on the way.
Lindos is a beautiful village and definitely worth a visit, however, if you have any mobility issues, you may be limited to what you can see. The Acropolis is a long walk up hill...there are donkeys that can take you up but, as I am an animal lover, I would not even consider it as an option. The hill down to the village itslef is steep, there is a shuttle bus but it did not arrive to take us back up so we had to walk which was a struggle with my mobility problems. Despite this, I would definitely recommend the trip. It provided excellent value for money, we felt safe on the coach and the length of the trip was perfect. I would also recommend booking with Manos! Thanks for a great day!

Well what can I say, apart from this will probably be the only sentence I have ever written with over exaggerated and underwhelmed.
Firstly the journey - we were picked up in Ixia (the Cosmopolitan) and then What I feel was every other hotel in Rhodes, Falaraki, into and up the hills, back down again, and when you hit the main road, get up to 60kmh and think ‘yes!!!!! That’s it we are one our way’ the indicator turns on to go pick up at another hotel. 1hour 40mins later we arrive at the bus terminal at the top of the hill. To begin the descent on foot. There is a bus for 50cents each way, it’s does get packed!
Then what do you experience as you enter Lindos…..
It’s a tourist trap. Shops upon shops selling the same stuff, restaurant by restaurant, you guessed it… selling the same stuff. Remember I said it was a trap…. And the prices reflect it. We arrived early (9am) and headed through the town up to the Acropolis with a 10min queue. On our way out at 10am - the queue was about an hour, then at 11am we could see the queue pretty much right down to the beginning of the ascent. My review of the Acropolis is separate (but again, underwhelming).
With a few hours to wait until the return; there is very little to do. Run the gauntlet on the trek to the beach, 15€ for the sun beds and umbrella, but for a couple of hours isn’t worth it.
In the end we found a taxi (many don’t want to come back to ixia so getting one was about a 20min wait) and got back home. Couldn’t stomach a 2 hour all stops return journey.
My advice: don’t bother with Lindos. Over hyped, tourist focused and once in, nothing very much to do.

It is very clear that your review belongs to the Public Bus services. This is posted to the wrong tour provider. Your experience with the Public bus ride is exactly the reason why we offer a well-organized, comfortable, quick, and reliable Lindos Express trip with medium size air-conditioned coaches. We also provide maps with information and recommendations so that travelers know what to see and what is there besides the shops and restaurants! And there is so much to see... We are very sorry for your experience, but we will report your review and ask to move it to where it belongs.

The pick up was on time and the driver was friendly. The journey down was done comfortably and the driver communicated exactly what time we needed to be back and the bus as well as supplying us with maps. He also did mention that a shuttle bus runs but unfortunately this had broken down (and he would have had no way of knowing this). We left early as everyone was back (again testament to clearly confirming the time you needed to be back) and we were all dropped off in a professional way. We also did the Valley of Butterfly trip with them and had the same driver who recognised us. Due to my mum injuring her ankle the day before this trip and she wasn’t able to do a lot of walking that was required. The driver went out of his way to make sure that she could be accommodated. When I come back next year I will be booking more trips through them.

The day trip to Lindos was actually with Manos the owner which was a bonus. He is such a lovely man/tour guide. Very friendly and knowledgeable (and funny).
We really enjoyed the day and felt safe with Manosgoing company. Which then encouraged us to book another trip a few days later to Symi Island, such was the professionalism of this company.
You can't go to Rhodes without going to Lindos. The only thing i didn't like was the use of donkeys as transport to the Acropolis (this is nothing to do with Manos) but i just had to say it. The more people that refuse to use them the better for the donkeys.
Other than that a great day.

Had a wonderful experience earlier this week with Manos on a day trip to Lindos. The travel agency was just a short walk from our hotel (Atrium Platinum) and both he and Gunta were very helpful and knowledgable when we popped in to discuss our requirements. Manos himself took us to Lindos the following day on an air conditioned coach and we had a fabulous time. For any fellow Brits looking for a travel company with great prices, professional service, and lovely local people I’d highly recommend them!

Hi.
Is the trip worth doing on a Sunday, are places open to visit? Or would Monday be a better option?
Thank you
Written October 9, 2021
The shops and restaurants in the area going up to the Acropolis will all be open on a Sunday. I’m not sure about the beach area. If you’re going to the Acropolis, wear good shoes as it’s quite a hike.
