          Super day in Belize
We had a marvelous day with our tour to Xunantunich and the Inland Blue Hole. Charles was in charge and was so great. He would tell us history of each town as we drove through. I have a bad back and he would assist me with stairs and driving me as far as he could to the ruin's. He is a great asset to the company and I am glad to know him. Five stars!!!

Great Hike (but vigorous) with Ricky
Our guide, Ricky, picked us up at our hotel in Dangriga and drive us to the Preserve. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area in general and the local flora and fauna specifically. We were originally skeptical of the value given the cost but those concerns soon melted away. We needed Ricky to access the trail and it was totally worth it. The lunch was also delcious.

Belize Nature Hike and River tubing!!
If you like to get out in the jungle, see and hear the tropical birds, learn about the amazing Jaguar reserve and have a very tasty lunch, then book this trip! First of all, this company picks you up from your accommodation, which was a huge bonus since we were in Belize for a month and didn’t have a car, so we saved on taxis, which, of course, meant more for tips to the guides! Our driver, Charles, was so nice, professional and prompt. Our guide, William, was so knowledgeable! Our tubing down the river surrounded by nature, and likely a few nocturnal jaguars, was beautiful. We didn’t even mind getting caught in the rain, because it cooled us off and was gone as quick as it came! Highly recommend!

          Cockscomb/Cooking Class/Mayan Culture Center, a must do
One of the highlights of our Belize trip, was hiking through Cockscomb Basin with local Mayan guide, Benedicto Choc. Benedicto is a local Mayan who shared his extensive knowledge and passion of the areas plants and many unique birds. Ben's luv & deep understanding of nature, culture and the area, added a dimension that will remain in our memories for years to come. The hike to the waterfall was filled with visual & sound immersion from start to finish. The day previous, Benedicto's wife, Federica, graciously provided us a start to finish Mayan cooking experience at their home. Ingredients for our meal were all freshly picked by us with Ben's guidance from their garden. Federica took care of the chicken before we arrived. Our meal was delicious and the experience of learning to appreciate the process of Mayan cooking, was absolutely enjoyable. Again, an unforgettable experience. We also stopped at the Mayan Center to view locally made handycraft work which supports the community. We strongly recommend stopping by there. Benedicto's contact info is: benedicto_choc@yahoo.com. His cell on What's App is: +501-667-7780.

          Reliable Transfer Services
We used Untame Belize's transfer services three times during our trip. We had a great experience all around. Ricky was our driver for two of those experiences and I highly recommend him. He is friendly and has a great sense of humor. Ricky was also able to answer all of our questions about Belize. We had some very interesting discussions.

          Amazing Tour and Services
My family booked our Cockscomb Basin Tour with Untame Belize! Many companies offer this tour in Placencia but we decided on them due to the reviews and it was totally worthy. Our driver pick up is directly at our villa and was super friendly from the start. We got to do some fun hike, learning about plants and even spotted a birds, armadillos and some some jaguar paws. We got do the fun river tubing and swim a waterfall. At the end of our guide took us to Maya restaurant for lunch. Such a great experience for our family. Our guide Ricky was amazing and Hamerlin who helped us book this tour. He was always response and guided us for the best options. The whole team at Untame Belize is amazing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

No show at airport. Called a few times, finally someone answered and said driver en route. He arrived for a group arriving 1.5 hours later. We had paid for private. Refund requested from viator.

          Fun Jungle and Culture adventure!
We got picked up at our hotel, which is super nice! As we were in the jungle walking for the river tubing, our guide was super knowledgeable about the plants and animals. Ww floated down the river which was really fun and the guide directed the tubes for us so we can relax and look around. We hiked to a waterfall and we sawm for as long as we wanted. The water was warm and inviting. Then we were taken to a local Mayan village and we ate local Mayan food. We stopped at the Chocolate shop as well! It was a great day to explore and learn about the Mayan culture!

          Placencia_Xunantunich_CaveTubing
Full day adventure from Placencia to Xunantunich to Jaguar Paw cave tubing back to Placencia. Ricky was an excellent guide; very personable, knowledgeable and friendly. We had 4 adults, 4 kids in a private van with water, lunch, AC, admission fees, and guide inclusive. A long day with lots of driving but doable. Doing it over, I'd have stayed 1-2 nights near Xunantunich and spent more time touring the ruins and less time driving. Untame was easy to work with, communication was great, payment was easy and secure and all in all a really enjoyable experience.

          Cockscomb Basin Hiking Tour
We did a hike of the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary with our guide Ricky and had a great experience. He’s local and extremely knowledgable about local wildlife, fauna, and history. We had pleasant conversations the entire way and also shared an amazing lunch together. Would definitely recommend this hike for someone wanting to just get to know the area better and check out the beautiful sanctuary.

Monkey River Tour/Placencia - an exhilarating experience!!!
We had a fabulous excursion on Monkey River! Our tour guide (Jason Williams) was outstanding. He shared his extensive knowledge of the sights and sounds on the river, history of the local village, and took us on a hike through the jungle...amazing! The howler monkeys were right above us, loud and entertaining to watch. We also saw crocodiles, blue crab, multiple tropical birds, and manatees. Wear older clothing, and be sure to wear white (or light colored) clothing, as the mosquitos are drawn to black clothing. Suggest a hat, sunblock, mosquito repellant and bring some money to shop when you stop at the village for a fresh local lunch - it was delicious, and they can use the support of whatever items you purchase. Thank you Jason for a memorable trip that we will be talking about for a very long time! Cindy, Kelli and Socorro

          Fantastic tour with great guides
My family recently took the full day tour from Hopkins to Tikal. Despite taking about 15 hours we had an amazing experience. Our guides, Rickie in Belize and Ronald in Guatemala, were very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional and told us many interesting facts throughout the day. Ronald was amazing at spotting all the wildlife in Guatemala, and without his expert eye we wouldn’t have seen so many spider monkeys, toucans, tarantulas, coatis, and even some jabiru storks! Tikal is a truly unique site, set in the middle of the forest, and the memories of our trip will live with us forever. Thank you Rickie and Ronald for an unforgettable experience.

          Not the best
Find a better one. This one is fine if you’ve never done any of the big ziplines in central America, or if you’re trying to take nervous toddlers on their first experience. If you’ve done others, you’ll find this one to be quite tame. The ride out there is quite long, and the tour guide did a good job of telling us interesting things about Belize as we drove, which was actually more memorable for most of us than the actual zip-line experience. The cave tubing was fine—it wasn’t quite a lazy river float. There’s a dammed up part of the river at the cave entrance and your guide will tie all your tubes together and pull you over to the other side to look at some old pottery that may or may not be old enough to have been used by Incans, and then pull you back. You can see the entrance the whole time. He’ll let you jump into the water for the last 50 feet or so. All in all, we wouldn’t do this one again because it was over-priced for what we got.
