Hubby and I tend to travel on our own. Group tour was never an option for us.But travel off the beaten track in winter with sub zero temperatures is not an option either. Were we glad we opted to go with Yat. Yat Tours is not the usual cookie cutter tour. People behind Yat knows about travel and activities that make travel fun which really fitted my bill to a T. They go off the beaten track besides the standard fare. We were treated not only to beautiful winter scenery but the activities they arranged made this trip - a trip of a lifetime:
1) the scooter ride up to the hill with the wind turbine was helluva ride! It was also a record -37°C!
Horse sleigh ride, Snow tubing near Er Lang Hu,
2) Private ski lesson in Yabuli(own expense),
3) Tubing across the frozen Jingpohu
4) Unique icy water rafting!
5) Animals we saw - Alpaca, Reindeer (snow village), Huskies (Jingpohu) Siberian tigers etc
I cannot thank Jerry our guide from Yat for going all out to make everyone happy. Same goes to Siow Zhan the local guide. Jerry and Siow Zhan looked to our every whim and fancy. Despite freezing cold fingers, they would till oblige us with photo taking. Not forgetting our Wang SiFu who drove with such dedication and care to make sure we arrive at every destination safely. Kudos to Yat for such a memorable trip!! You guys really know what travel and fun is and nailed it for me as one of my best travel trips. I wont hesitate to travel with Yat again. It was great value for money.

I'm one of the 18 members who participated in the above tour. It was my ever first experience witnessing such a cold and snow wheather. To make things even comfortable and satisfying was the tour leader Mr Zach of Yat Travel. He has always placed our interest and needs his priority. He was a humorous person which make us even more comfortable with his presence. It was a great and memorable experience for me and wife. I'm looking forward the next trip with Yat Travel and of course with the presence of Mr Zach if I have the priviledge to select him again in my next trip. My best regards to Yat Travel and my Bro Mr Zach. Gong Xi Fa Cai and Cheers!!!

Thank you YAT for organising the most wonderful, fun and memorable trip for me and my husband.
This trip was purely sight seeing to all exclusive areas combined with exciting activities like skiing, ice rafting, snow motorbike ride to mountains and lots more. My friends who saw my photographs posting on Facebook found me having such a good time. They told me that their other friends who went to Harbin with other tour agency found their trip boring and too commercialised. Moreover Ken and our tour guide Jerry constantly had personal touch with us.
On the 2nd day our tour bus was supposed to bring us to Yabuli(a mere 2hrs ride from Harbin. Unfortunately due to heavy snowing the road was closed. YAT quickly put us on a bullet train to Yabuli to enable us to ski in Yabuli Ski land. Our tour bus only to came pick us up after a 7 hours journey the following day. Kudos to YAT. What an initiative and Commitment to their clients.
We were not sure what to expect from the tour but pleasantly surprised hotels and homestay were great and fantastic. At the homestay, we had fun having competition making snowman.
Hats off to our tour guide Jerry who has made our trip more special through his passion and commitment. Eventhough he is fun going , he still discharged his responsibility well. He has a heart for the elderly and constantly taking good care of our safety(risk of fall on ice)
A word to those who fear to visit North East China due to the cold (a lot of friends do) Do not worry, just keep yourself warm with proper warm clothings. Just do it. You need to experience once.

I love this trip. We were taken to so many nice places with beautiful scenery as was stated in the itinerary. We were even advised on the things to be prepared before the trip due to extreme coldness we might be faced. A big thank you to YAT Travel especially to Mr Zach who had been very generous and helpful along the whole trip. In short, it was such a great trip with beautiful experience.

I first heard about YAT when my wife was on her phone with one of her schoolmates who strongly recommended YAT a Chinese travel agency if we want to visit China. Initially I was a bit skeptical as it was based in Chengdu, China. Coincidentally we met two sisters one staying in KL while the other is a resident in Canada. They are formerly from my wife hometown. They told us they have been travelling to China using YAT as their tours are very in-depth not like other travel agencies. So that is how we landed our first tour to Harbin. The arrangement by Ken was perfect even though we went there a day earlier. Our tour leader Jerry is fantastic as he has gone the extra mile to help al of us if we need any assistance. He loves and is very passionate about his job and he interacts with all of us well. My wife and I thoroughly enjoys the trip even though we are the oldest couple and we manage to participate in all the activities. We have signed up for our next trip to Guizhou in March n we look forward to it. We will definitely recommend this agency to our friend n kudos to Ken n Jerry for a job well done.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this trip Dec 2019 to Jan 2020. Many thanks to Jerry and Ms Zhang Ye who were working together for the first time, and yet the trip went without a hitch, weather notwithstanding.
I observed Ms Zhang Ye arguing on the phone several times to smoothen out things in advance. She also made sure we had fun by luring us into fresh deep snow to frolick.
The 2 guides went out of their way to make our trip very very enjoyable.

This is a 180 degree contrast to my October Xinjiang trip with the guide Kevin.

China's North-East Provinces may well represent the penultimate winter playground to many of us living in Tropical South-East Asia, where, when one hears mention of Harbin, the image of the world reknown International Ice and Snow Festival comes to mind. However, this region offers much more than just ice and snow sculptures. While the extreme cold does prohibit some regular activities, there's beauty in denuded trees enveloped in snow; there's joy in riding snow mobiles and horse sleds over snow and hours of fun for the kids on ice-lined slides. In fact it's winter wonderland for the family. Frozen lakes will hide the turquoise waters but offer playground for winter sports and snow clad mountain slopes beckon to skiing enthusiasts. For the food lovers, mouth-watering local cuisines will entice you. If you seek the mundane, try the dumplings and if you prefer, the local favourite Madieer yogurt ice cream stick, which will chill you from the inside out when eaten while out on a street. The package arranged by Yat Travel and so well managed by Zach, our Guide, will forever be remembered by me. Thank you guys for an incredible unforgettable winter experience in NE China.

A group of 18 peoples accompany by excellent and professional English/Chinese speaking tour leader/guide Mr Zach from YAT TRAVEL have a two weeks tour, visited all the places and experienced all the activities which listed in the itinerary. We really enjoyed the wonderful and beautiful winter scenery along the trip. The hotel for whole journey are clean and comfortable. Tasted many variety of Chinese Cuisines. Overall the trip are well planned, l will stay with YAT TRAVEL for another two China trip in year 2020.

Thank you Ken - YAT Travels (Chengdu) for arranging such a comprehensive tour for us to enjoy at our age (60+). We experience so much (in just two short weeks) - the bullet train ride, snow motorbike, snow horse sleigh, snow tube mobile, ice water rafting plus also we had so much fun with such soft snow (although the temp was at an extreme of -37degrees)
We also like would like to express our sincer thanks to the Tour Leader of this Group (Jerry Yang from Kunming). Even though, it was his 1st trip to Harbin too - he did very well to accomodate and see to our needs daily.
